We absolutely loved this Bunkhouse! Best bunkhouse I have stayed at in years! We had room #1 with 2 small dogs. There is a great room for people to share however I never saw anyone else there. I made use of the big room and wrapped gifts to take to our grandsons birthday the next day on the giant table and made ice in the mini ice machine for cocktails. Later I made fresh coffee. Great and easy walk down the main street and easy to take the doggies to go out. In the Am we visited not one but 2 amazing bakeries! #1 Sisters Bakery and #2 Angeline's Bakery on our way to Portland. (listed in no specific order) People had requested specific things from each bakery so we got to taste lots of delicious things; #1 apple fritters, doughnuts and sourdough bread and #2 bagels, quiche and a berry strudel or something that was to drool for! Great location right in the heart of downtown Sisters. Cannot independently control the thermostat in each room. It is set for one temperature for the entire 4 units. Even though it was only 51 to 57 degrees outside this weekend, it was 73 degrees in the room the entire trip (unless I opened the windows) and then had to deal with cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Got two rough nights of sleep. No chair in the room to sit on, so your only seating is the bed. Shower is extremely tiny and the head sprays straight down. Can't really angle it toward your body so I couldn't get clean in all the private places. Nice people running the property and it is easy to park. If you sleep warm and/or are specific with your climate needs I would not recommend it. I can't even imagine how warm the room is when it's 80+ degrees outside in the heart of summer. My room was the upstairs unit. Maybe the first floor is cooler, not sure. But mine was miserable and I couldn't get comfortable to sleep. I felt no air coming out of the vent. The fans didn't help. It was either cool with loud sounds all night, or super hot and quiet. Too much street noise all day except from around 11pm-7am daily. Next time I'll stay at an actual hotel with independent thermostats. read more

My husband and I spent one night here passing through from Napa to WA. We stayed in room #3. It was cozy, well laid out and spotless. The innkeeper was very helpful and welcoming. She even called us to tell us about a road closure and good places to park before we arrived. The location is great and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to get back on the road. lol They didn't provide facial tissues or lotion, so keep that in mind when you plan your stay. read more

Reservation experience was so terrible, I immediately cancelled. And the reservation person called me back to tell me I was being charged the processing fee that AMEX charged the hotel!!!! After giving my credit card info to reserve a 2 night stay, I asked the woman taking the reservation to remind me of cancellation policy. She quoted me one policy, then started changing that, then seemed very confused and was so all over the map that I decided I couldn't trust what she was telling me so I told her I was going to cancel. She kept trying to negotiate but finally seemed to accept that she'd lost my business. A few minutes later, she phoned to tell me I would be charged for cancelling, even though it was over before the 30 day policy but would only charge me half the fee. I told her that I refused to pay anything, as the credit card processing fee was the cost of doing business & it showed terrible customer service that she didn't waive any charge. read more

Loved staying here for a night during a quick work trip! Kathleen was so sweet and the place was super clean and cozy. It was walking distance to all of the cute shops and restaurants in Sisters. Would definitely stay here again for longer next time! read more

Sisters Bunkhouse was just what the doc ordered after a long day of driving with multiple stops to fish and explore. I hadn't been in Sisters before, did a quick search and picked the highest rated hotel. I got lucky! Michael and Kathleen are the owners and could not be nicer people. I felt at home immediately. They have done a wonderful job designing and furnishing the place. The bed was the most comfortable I slept in on my 10 day road trip. I highly recommend the Bunkhouse and it will be my first choice next time I'm in the area. read more

We stayed in the Bunkhouse on Friday, Feb 5th 2016. This place is AWESOME! The Bunkhouse is a cozy little Boutique Hotel. We adore places like this. You find quite a few of these in the Palm Springs area, but not often around here. The Bunk-keepers Michael and Kathleen are so very nice! We just love Sisters and this amazing little Hotel in the heart of it is .. PERFECT. It's just a block from our favorite restaurant in all of Central Oregon, The Open Door. So I'm sure we will be frequent guests. There are only 4 guest rooms, so you feel very private. There's a cozy foyer area with a beautiful big table where you can eat, play games or work on the puzzle they have waiting for you. All the kitchen amenities are there, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (with some very delectable offerings). All the furniture and decorations are top notch, Michael and Kathleen have gone way beyond the average here. You feel like you are in a very very nice place, and you are. The rooms.. the rooms are IMMACULATE. Shannon and I slept very well and we have an expensive memory foam mattress at home, we slept better on this bed. The rooms are so well appointed, everything is so nice and ready for you. I LOVE above head showers, where the water comes straight down on you, they have those. I'm already planning our next visit. read more

This place is fantastic. Mike and Kathleen have done an absolutely stunning job making customers feel welcome. The beds are comfortable, the take one and pay what you can philosophy for snacks is one I personally approve of, and always support. The location is also great. Walking distance to morning coffee or evening dinner, and it's not unusual to see a deer or thirteen just roaming around the front. The location was great for downtown shopping. We got the top room, which is the smallest one. It was decorated nicely. The t.v. was really small (maybe 32")...but we're spoiled. There was no ability to adjust the temperature in your own room. The shower faucet also doesn't work well for short people. The owners were nice. read more

Here, at Sisters Bunkhouse, you're not greeted by a clerk, behind a desk, instead, you're welcomed by your first name, as though you are long-time friends, being welcomed into their home. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and immediately relaxing. Great thought and effort went into the design of The Bunkhouse, but it's obvious it's more than a business venture, it's an effort of love! I stayed here while in Sisters for business. I was very impressed with the warm welcome from the hosts, the decor, the coziness, and the affordability. The owners have done a magnificent job renovating the building. Absolutely perfect for three nights by myself. I can't wait to come stay again with my wife. I was raised in Bend but spent very little time in Sisters 10+ years ago. The town has grown into something amazing. Perfect vacation spot for a slow paced outdoorsy weekend. read more

Hubby and I came to Sister's to see an RV to purchase and decided to stay the night. Driving through town, we were looking for something centrally located, not a chain hotel and not a roach coach. Lucky us, we found the Bunkhouse. Agree with everyone that the owners are awesome and super friendly. We liked the decor so much, that we asked them some details, which they were happy to share.
