It's a Marriott property and we stayed here because the Fairfield Inn got much lower reviews (we had stayed at the Fairfield four previous night) than previously researched. The room was very modern, but loud (and had annoying loud "barn doors" into the bathroom. Also, the closing of the room door was super loud and I felt bad for disturbing others. We stayed here two nights while preparing to move into a rental in Bend. My husband got me a small meal the night before. Because I was up at 0600, I went to the breakfast to get coffee and food and to return the platter and the flatware from the night before. When I went the main desk to ask, some old lady with long gray hair seemed unnecessarilyy annoyed at my question about where to return. (We need to scrape the contents of the plates into the garbage can and place the plates and flatware into the bin)- something like "the precious". Anyway, the coffee was very good, but the breakfast, meh. Scrambled eggs weirdly bland, there was bacon (not a fan) and an "egg McMuffin" that I got only for the sausage. The second day the same old blah lady was at the desk, and the breakfast was even less (same scrambled eggs and sausage (turkey?). and a little muffin. Coffee was still good. read more

Great location if you like shopping near the Old Mill. Craft beer within walking distance. Immersion, Crux, and The Warming Hut are favorites. You can stumble home from Monkless Brewery as they are literally a stone's throw away. They have a decent breakfast option for your convenience and the happy hour selection offers good value for craft beer and mixed drinks. What more do you need? Ok, they also have a decent business section for those needing access to printing and other office services. read more

This hotel has great potential, but failed short in meeting our needs for a comfortable relaxing stay! When issues were reported to staff no action was taken! We reported ventilation issues and the problem was not addressed nor did management get back to us! The hotel pulls air from the outside into the hotel rather than have a close loop ventilation system: this on Smokey days in the bend area the room becomes quite smoky. This air quality makes it hard to breathe. Breath was ok. A lot of the food was packaged! Lack nutritious food. Also lacked typical items that you see on a buffet like peanut butter or jelly to put on bread items. On the positive side the hotel decor is nice! Huge rooms!! Hotel seems really new. Great stay. Right next to old mill district which is nice. Great spots around it to eat and drink as well. If I come back to Bend this is definitely where I will be staying. 1 con: the air is so bad here, I dont know if it is outside or inside but there are particles flying everywhere. It left me congested. They do have air purifiers in the hallway. read more

Just checked out of the SpringHill Suites. The staff is very respectful and friendly. My only complaint was it smelt like smoke the whole time in my room because of the fires going on but that wasn't their fault. They tried to accommodate as much as they could but they were completely full and all the rooms somewhat smelt. I would definitely try this hotel out again hopefully when there isn't any wildfires going on. Thank you for taking care of our parking fee. We appreciate that! read more

They have the pillows where if you sleep on one or two, it feels like you aren't even sleeping on a pillow, but if you stack four ontop of each other your head sinks through and gives you a stuff neck the next day. 1/10 pillow comfort. read more

I absolutely loved this hotel! It was modern, spacious, well lit, and the most perfect location! The continental breakfast had a wonderful variety, just enough to satisfy any tastebuds with cold and warm options. The rooms were so much bigger than I expected and so clean! The staff were generally friendly, Patrick was by far my favorite staff member! He went above and beyond to be exuberant, funny and friendly! I would definitely give him five stars! I would recommend this hotel hands-down to anyone traveling to Bend. One thing I didn't know was if you go through the breezeway across the street at the box factory you come out on a whole Nother road with adorable winery, restaurants, and a food truck area that was delicious and the restaurant to the right of the hotel has a few food trucks behind the pizza out of the swirl delicious! I didn't get a chance to try it and the weather was a bit too crispy for me to be walking around, but I would definitely want to go back on a future trip! there's so many wonderful tourist to choose from as well. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a couch, coffee table, and desk. The bedroom faced the bathroom door rather than directly facing the TV. It was a bit awkward but not a deal breaker. Like other hotels, they do have recommended quiet hours, but some guests were a little loud in the hallways during our stay. The parking lot was big, and it cost $10 per day. They offered free continental breakfast, which we didn't take advantage of since we got breakfast elsewhere. There was also an indoor pool and gym. There were some restaurants that were walkable, and other spots were just a short drive away. The hotel staff was nice. They had stricter booking and cancellation policies while other hotels seemed more flexible. For example, we chose a rate that was about $15 more just in case we needed to make a last minute cancellation. Make sure to read they fine print when booking your stay. Although we only stayed one night in Bend, it was a good hotel if you plan to stay a little longer. read more

Wow what a beautiful hotel! It is brand new and absolutely lovely inside and has lovely grounds with a Tesla supercharger! The rooms are spacious, smell amazing, and are very clean! We have a 'gazillion' points with another hotel brand where we could stay at their Bend properties for free during our roughly monthly multi-day visits. But we pay to stay at this Marriott property because the reasons for our visits are to help a loved and ailing family member and staying here makes our visits easier. Not only because the property is so comfortable and conveniently located and not just because the rooms are so impeccably clean and well appointed but also because the front desk staff members are so welcoming every time. It makes it easier by a long shot when our days are full of being helpful to someone else to be greeted at every arrival and departure throughout the days by staff who communicates they care that you're there and remember you each time. It is the people who work here who make all the difference for guests like us. This review update is to raise the total from 4 to 5 stars because after consistent excellence across many months they deserve the highest hospitality score. That's the bottom line. Trust. It really comes down to trust. Trust earned, trust kept. As a Ritz Carlton member (now Bonvoy which merged all the Marriott and Sheraton products under one membership umbrella) I have had the pleasure of staying at a multitude of Ritz Carlton and Marriott locations. I thought I'd try a Springhill Suites. There are many Marriott products in the general vicinity. I chose this one because it was new to me. We were tired from all the stuff we were doing to our house in Bend. We wanted to go somewhere where the bed is firm, the shower is hot, and we could watch the long awaited next episode of the final season of Game of Thrones. Before we left I received texts that my stay was charged to my card and my mobile room key was ready. Once we arrived the mobile room key did not work. I phoned the front desk who told me I have to go downstairs. I went downstairs and was asked to use this door simulator to determine if the issue was me, my phone, or the hotels door lock. THE PROBLEM WAS THE HOTEL DOOR LOCK. I was given standard room keys. No one offered me water. No one offered me anything. Just the keys to a lock that the mobile key wasn't working and I could go about my day. Not an amazing check in. I was tired. They embarrassed me at the front desk. They then give me a key and move on with their day. No member bottled water. I had a similar situation at the Ritz Carlton Ft.Lauderdale. Not only was my room key situation immediately addressed - the way that was handled built my confidence in the brand. I knew without any doubt I was in good hands. This hotel? No. I'm still weirded out how terrible the people in positions to help literally failed to be helpful. I am disappointed the hospitality they failed to demonstrate while being in the hospitality industry happened with more than one person at the front desk (not everyone at the front desk is a front desk agent - managers and supervisors often occupy the front desk) Here's my tips because everyone seemed clueless how to handle a guest: 1. When a guest has an issue with the door do not have them use that idiotic lock checker. Not only is it embarrassing - your door lock was faulty so now you've publicly embarrassed a guest and the brand. 2. When there is an issue with check in that should literally be the cue for all hands on deck to make sure they are on alert. Additionally, apologize and WALK THE GUEST TO THEIR ROOM TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LOCK YOU ALREADY KNOW IS FAULTY. 3. Put the guest in another room with a working lock. Send maintenance to fix the faulty lock and tell the guest you've done that. 4. If your location doesn't offer Marriott branded bottled water or goodie bags at check in for members, at the very least verbally invite guests to enjoy the water and coffee station. I am your guest. I do not work there. I have better manners than to touch things. No one told me anything so I bought water when I left the hotel to go find dinner. Nice hospitality. 5. I don't care who you are - when a guest walks by the front desk acknowledge them. The guest is literally the reason you exist. I didn't appreciate that man at the front desk ignoring me in the morning. I was already unhappy about my check in. He ensured my check out would be as terrible. If he acknowledged me the likelihood of me telling him how I felt about my stay would have eliminated the necessity of this review and the online correspondence with the Marriott after my stay. The Marriott brand takes great pride in their service. You, the guest, allow the hotel 3 tries to make things right before you speak with Mr. Marriott directly to air your grievance. I'm not kidding. This is how serious they are about giving their guests a great product with great service. This location failed. Both points of contact were terrible. The check in sets the tone for your stay. The check out reinforces your great stay so you not only recommend family and friends - you yourself return. I already shared this in great detail in my post-stay survey and received acknowledgement the team at this location will read it. The guest is literally the reason you are there. To fail a guest just doesn't make sense. Who you are are as a person should be consistent with who you are when you are at work. You know, hospitable and courteous. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The bed was firm, the shower was wonderful, the electrical outlets thoughtfully scattered around the room made us happy. I even loved the healthy and not healthy treats my husband bought from the marketplace. The service doesn't match the hotel. That inconsistency doesn't bode well where trust is concerned. 1 Star - very detailed feedback. Do better. I do not recommend. read more

Bottom line: it's a great hotel with great customer service and the venue is right in the middle of all the action. There is an indoor pool, hot breakfast, and the rooms are comfortable. The view and dusk was also great. Our room overlooked the old mill area, which is only a 5-minute walk. The night life across the street boasts several small micro-breweries, wine shops, and food shops. No housekeeping to move our room away from the loud wedding party in a hotel with 30% occupancy. No feather-free room to make a self-move possible. The only redeeming points of the stay was Emmy in the bar who did everything possible to help us stranded guests. She and Roxie at the desk are the only reasons there are any stars. We watched the assistant GM glide across the back parking lot of sheer ice and it never crossed his mind to put out sand for the guests? Come on. read more

I had a lovely 2-night stay at this SpringHill Suites. Check-in was a breeze and there was plenty of parking. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. A quick walk from downtown and about a 20 minute drive from RDM airport. My room was on the corner and was spacious, and most importantly, was very clean. I adored the lobby area, and I especially enjoyed sitting by the hearth. So cozy! The complimentary breakfast was consistent with what I expected for a SpringHill. You have your eggs, potatoes, and sausages. They served strawberries, yogurt, milk, cereal, pastries as well as your usual coffee, juices, and hot water for tea. I would recommend this property to my family and friends, and I personally would stay here again in future visits to Bend. read more

Stayed at the SpringHill Suites in for two nights and was blown away. The rooms were fantastic--comfortable beds, room to spread out on the couch, a fancy bathroom, and a nice workspace made for a great stay. The hotel offers a pool and hot tub, a fitness room, a conference room, and a bar in the lobby (though it's currently closed due to COVID-19). Hotel staff are pleasant and courteous, offering extra towels when needed, giving suggestions for local stores and restaurants, and making polite conversation in passing by. Though breakfast is currently in a COVID "to-go" state with pre-packaged foods, the staff are happy to serve you each morning and genuinely seem to want to help you enjoy your stay. This SpringHill Suites gets a 5/5 from me--I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

Just had our second stay here and it was as good if not more better as our first visit since everything was back open including the complimentary breakfast, which wasn't bad at all! Only down side is House keeping wasn't doing their daily cleanings but that wasn't a big deal. Love the location of this hotel - conveniently located minutes from downtown, rooms are cozy, beds are comfy, and rates aren't too crazy. We live in Bend but we had a small problem with our water heater. So one night we stayed here. Since we are in the middle of the Covid-19 problem we were a little nervous about the experience. When we arrived you could tell that Marriott had taken every precaution to ensure our safety. We enjoyed our stay, especially the hot showers. Gorgeous, spacious accommodations with beautiful views of trees. Love the barn door to the bathroom and the bathroom tile feels so good that I want it at home! The shower head has good pressure and feels amazing on your shoulders after a long drive. The bed is so soft and the sheets are full and cozy. The pillows are fluffy and the room has wonderful natural light during the day and is dark at night for restful sleep. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful and referred us to an amazing restaurant for lunch within walking distance and even procured phone numbers for local car windshield glass chip repair since a rock hit our car on the highway en route here. Gorgeous pool indoors and a nice exercise room too. The lobby and outdoor lounge area are comfortable and out front there is a beautiful view of the mountains which are snow capped even now in summer! Free green tea and coffee in the lobby are a nice touch. My fiancée and I are continually impressed by this location as we have been to many other SpringHill Suites and we are already planning a return visit! This hotel is brand new and I was happy that they require people to wear masks in the lobby even though hardly anyone was wearing masks in Bend. They have plenty of parking around the back of the building and another entrance (just swipe your room key) back there too. Our car felt safe in the parking lot. If it wasn't Covid-19 it'd be the perfect area to walk around and eat/drink at since there are tons of bars (even cider ones), ramen noodles, food, gastropubs all in the area. There is a natural grocery store nearby too and the hotel isn't too far off the freeway which makes it very convenient. The best thing about the hotel was that they still offered free breakfast but to go and they even individually wrapped the paper plates. We got individual cartons of milk (for cheerios) and yogurts and muffins which made a great breakfast for our family. This was great! The hotel was very clean and despite the hallways being noisy once you were inside your room it wasn't noisy at all. We even faced the front entrance on only the second floor and I was impressed how quiet it was since I'm a super light sleeper. The only negative of our stay was we asked for a quiet room upon check in and to our surprise our room was the first one right across from the elevator. When I went back downstairs the man at the front desk told me that "people have different definitions of the word quiet" (which I thought was a snarky response and also I wonder who out there thinks the room right across from the elevators is quiet because people always talk and are getting on and off the elevators 24/7 - that is certainly not my definition of a quiet room - it is the opposite of a quiet room) but at least after I persisted he switched us to a room farther down the hall just on the 2nd floor instead of high floor but oh well it ended up being quiet it would have just been a better stay if he was more pleasant to deal with and otherwise it'd be a 5 star review instead of 4. read more

Hotel is located near downtown with several shops/restaurants right across the street and rest of downtown within easy walking distance. The common areas of the hotel are clean and comfortable: we enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi area (clean and ample towels and nice chairs), outdoor large fire pit, lobby area for generous hot and cold breakfast options and TV/couch/fireplace. Room was spacious. And everything was in new/good condition and very clean. We've been impressed with the sister hotel to this one in Bozeman MT and found this one to be the same, great experience. read more

The staff members were very friendly and the hotel was clean; It had a nice modern decor and was conveniently located by many breweries/shopping. The bed was super comfortable and you can use Netflix on the TV which was great. Loved it! Would 100 percent stay here again and recommend it to friends/family. I booked a King suite for a romantic getaway with my husband! After paying for my room and receiving our keys we excitedly went to our suite! When we opened the door to a double queen family room we were super confused. We walked back down to ask if there was a mix up and the front desk gentleman said they had over booked the suites for the night and they (being the hotel) were kind enough to give us another room with two beds for the same price. (No apologies) How wonderful of you for not charging us more for a room we didn't want *sarcasm... I didn't mind the switch in rooms and understand mix ups happen. Not telling us what happened till AFTER we got to the 4th floor and back down with all our luggage was absolutely uncalled for. Plus making it seem like they were sooo giving for letting us stay with out extra payment was completely ridiculous. The cleanliness of the room was spectacular and the view along with the room in general was beautiful. I fell in love with the bathroom and told my husband "I must have this bathroom in our house!" The bed (the queen we used at leased) was very comfortable and being pregnant that's hard to find SAME WITH AMAZING PILLOWS! I was so dead asleep we almost missed check out. Buckle-up Yelpmates: short rant ahead. Merriam-Webster defines 'suite' as a "group of rooms occupied as a unit". These days, not so much... Marriott and other chains have decided that rooms rent for more as 'suites', but although they take the upcharge they have not invested in the 'group of rooms' concept. So unless you've chosen the Four Seasons, a 'suite' hotel is mostly just a single room with a modest wooden room divider or similar. This is simply false advertising. Having said that, Marriott's SpringHill Suites (er, lodge, motel?) in Bend, Oregon, is a well-designed and pleasant place to stay. Less than a year old at this writing it is walkable to Bend's Old Mill District, a neighborhood chock full of eating, shopping and cinema opportunities; the Deschutes River is nearby plus the concert venue. Great stuff. Room is a little small but the design is solid, with attention to comforts like locally appropriate artwork and materials, Keurig coffee maker (but note the PAPER coffee cups; couldn't manage mugs?) and a bright functional bath. Usual solid Marriott bed/bedding. One minus is the missing room safe, so if you leave any valuables in the room you'll be trusting the honesty of Marriott's local housekeeping team. I've no reason to think of them as being dishonest, but shame on Marriott for saving what -$150? - so that I have to worry about that. read more

We just returned from a two night stay at the Springhill Suites by Marriott. The hotel is rather new and is quite nice. The room was clean, well laid out and the bed was comfortable. When we checked in on Saturday afternoon, the staff told us all about the hotel, the breakfast the next morning and how far we were from downtown and the Old Mill. I was also provided a running map the next morning. The staff was amazing. The location is perfect. It is eight blocks to downtown and about ten minutes to the Old Mill District. We are coming back to Bend this summer and we will be booking our hotel with the Marriott. read more

Erin was there when I checked in. She was there when I checked out. I had car trouble. Erin asked if an employee could help. No one could, but I appreciated her asking. I hung around the lobby and Erin was very kind and fun to interact with as I came and went dealing with my car. Very sweet. Very professional. The room was wonderful. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Choice of pillows. Very quiet. I slept well. My compliments to the cleaning crew. I didn't hear them at all. They worked quietly. My room had only a sheer on the window. I would have liked a blackout drape, since I am not a morning person. Also, my room faced a shopping area with white roofs and lots of lights. It was bright at night. read more

A cost that was always included in the cost of the room. $10 per car to park in their parking lot. Which was never mentioned until you got there.
