I absolutely loved this hotel! It was modern, spacious, well lit, and the most perfect location! The continental breakfast had a wonderful variety, just enough to satisfy any tastebuds with cold and warm options. The rooms were so much bigger than I expected and so clean! The staff were generally friendly, Patrick was by far my favorite staff member! He went above and beyond to be exuberant, funny and friendly! I would definitely give him five stars! I would recommend this hotel hands-down to anyone traveling to Bend. One thing I didn't know was if you go through the breezeway across the street at the box factory you come out on a whole Nother road with adorable winery, restaurants, and a food truck area that was delicious and the restaurant to the right of the hotel has a few food trucks behind the pizza out of the swirl delicious! I didn't get a chance to try it and the weather was a bit too crispy for me to be walking around, but I would definitely want to go back on a future trip! there's so many wonderful tourist to choose from as well. I highly recommend checking out tour with me and the canoe tour with Tyler Wonderlust adventures!

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a couch, coffee table, and desk. The bedroom faced the bathroom door rather than directly facing the TV. It was a bit awkward but not a deal breaker. Like other hotels, they do have recommended quiet hours, but some guests were a little loud in the hallways during our stay. The parking lot was big, and it cost $10 per day. They offered free continental breakfast, which we didn't take advantage of since we got breakfast elsewhere. There was also an indoor pool and gym. There were some restaurants that were walkable, and other spots were just a short drive away. The hotel staff was nice. They had stricter booking and cancellation policies while other hotels seemed more flexible. For example, we chose a rate that was about $15 more just in case we needed to make a last minute cancellation. Make sure to read they fine print when booking your stay. Although we only stayed one night in Bend, it was a good hotel if you plan to stay a little longer.

Streaming - HBO for GOT tonight. It's the little conveniences that make me happy! They didn't put my name on the welcome. Geez.

Trust. It really comes down to trust. Trust earned, trust kept. As a Ritz Carlton member (now Bonvoy which merged all the Marriott and Sheraton products under one membership umbrella) I have had the pleasure of staying at a multitude of Ritz Carlton and Marriott locations. I thought I'd try a Springhill Suites. There are many Marriott products in the general vicinity. I chose this one because it was new to me. We were tired from all the stuff we were doing to our house in Bend. We wanted to go somewhere where the bed is firm, the shower is hot, and we could watch the long awaited next episode of the final season of Game of Thrones. Before we left I received texts that my stay was charged to my card and my mobile room key was ready. Once we arrived the mobile room key did not work. I phoned the front desk who told me I have to go downstairs. I went downstairs and was asked to use this door simulator to determine if the issue was me, my phone, or the hotels door lock. THE PROBLEM WAS THE HOTEL DOOR LOCK. I was given standard room keys. No one offered me water. No one offered me anything. Just the keys to a lock that the mobile key wasn't working and I could go about my day. Not an amazing check in. I was tired. They embarrassed me at the front desk. They then give me a key and move on with their day. No member bottled water. I had a similar situation at the Ritz Carlton Ft.Lauderdale. Not only was my room key situation immediately addressed - the way that was handled built my confidence in the brand. I knew without any doubt I was in good hands. This hotel? No. I'm still weirded out how terrible the people in positions to help literally failed to be helpful. I am disappointed the hospitality they failed to demonstrate while being in the hospitality industry happened with more than one person at the front desk (not everyone at the front desk is a front desk agent - managers and supervisors often occupy the front desk) Here's my tips because everyone seemed clueless how to handle a guest: 1. When a guest has an issue with the door do not have them use that idiotic lock checker. Not only is it embarrassing - your door lock was faulty so now you've publicly embarrassed a guest and the brand. 2. When there is an issue with check in that should literally be the cue for all hands on deck to make sure they are on alert. Additionally, apologize and WALK THE GUEST TO THEIR ROOM TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LOCK YOU ALREADY KNOW IS FAULTY. 3. Put the guest in another room with a working lock. Send maintenance to fix the faulty lock and tell the guest you've done that. 4. If your location doesn't offer Marriott branded bottled water or goodie bags at check in for members, at the very least verbally invite guests to enjoy the water and coffee station. I am your guest. I do not work there. I have better manners than to touch things. No one told me anything so I bought water when I left the hotel to go find dinner. Nice hospitality. 5. I don't care who you are - when a guest walks by the front desk acknowledge them. The guest is literally the reason you exist. I didn't appreciate that man at the front desk ignoring me in the morning. I was already unhappy about my check in. He ensured my check out would be as terrible. If he acknowledged me the likelihood of me telling him how I felt about my stay would have eliminated the necessity of this review and the online correspondence with the Marriott after my stay. The Marriott brand takes great pride in their service. You, the guest, allow the hotel 3 tries to make things right before you speak with Mr. Marriott directly to air your grievance. I'm not kidding. This is how serious they are about giving their guests a great product with great service. This location failed. Both points of contact were terrible. The check in sets the tone for your stay. The check out reinforces your great stay so you not only recommend family and friends - you yourself return. I already shared this in great detail in my post-stay survey and received acknowledgement the team at this location will read it. The guest is literally the reason you are there. To fail a guest just doesn't make sense. Who you are are as a person should be consistent with who you are when you are at work. You know, hospitable and courteous. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The bed was firm, the shower was wonderful, the electrical outlets thoughtfully scattered around the room made us happy. I even loved the healthy and not healthy treats my husband bought from the marketplace. The service doesn't match the hotel. That inconsistency doesn't bode well where trust is concerned. 1 Star - very detailed feedback. Do better. I do not recommend.

Bottom line: it's a great hotel with great customer service and the venue is right in the middle of all the action. There is an indoor pool, hot breakfast, and the rooms are comfortable. The view and dusk was also great. Our room overlooked the old mill area, which is only a 5-minute walk. The night life across the street boasts several small micro-breweries, wine shops, and food shops. Whether you're in town to enjoy the seasonal outdoors, passing through, or visiting loved ones that are in school here... Spring Hill Suites is the one to stay at.

I had a lovely 2-night stay at this SpringHill Suites. Check-in was a breeze and there was plenty of parking. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. A quick walk from downtown and about a 20 minute drive from RDM airport. My room was on the corner and was spacious, and most importantly, was very clean. I adored the lobby area, and I especially enjoyed sitting by the hearth. So cozy! The complimentary breakfast was consistent with what I expected for a SpringHill. You have your eggs, potatoes, and sausages. They served strawberries, yogurt, milk, cereal, pastries as well as your usual coffee, juices, and hot water for tea. I would recommend this property to my family and friends, and I personally would stay here again in future visits to Bend.

We live in Bend but we had a small problem with our water heater. So one night we stayed here. Since we are in the middle of the Covid-19 problem we were a little nervous about the experience. When we arrived you could tell that Marriott had taken every precaution to ensure our safety. We enjoyed our stay, especially the hot showers. We have to say the this hotel was designed with Bend in mind, very well done.

Traveling with a pet can sometimes feel like a hassle, but here, it felt like my dog was just as welcomed and pampered as I was. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted my dog with genuine warmth, offering treats, a cozy dog bed, and even special amenities that made the stay feel thoughtful and personalized. It wasn't just "pet-tolerant"--it was truly pet-celebrating. The attention to detail made a huge difference, and it was clear they go above and beyond for guests with furry companions. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful--modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious, and everything feels high-end without being pretentious. If you're traveling with your dog and want a place that treats both of you like VIPs, the Oxford Hotel is hands down one of the best choices out there. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Bend again! Also, the coffee in the room was excellent!!

I accidentally left personal items in the room and am 100% certain they were left there. I contacted the hotel multiple times and they kept telling me they would follow up--but no one ever did. I never received a return call like they promised, a resolution, or any form of compensation, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, the staff I interacted with came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. A little accountability or basic courtesy would have gone a long way. For example I had to call down to the front desk 3 times in one morning just to get someone to bring toilet paper up to our room. For comparison, I had a much better overall experience at the Hampton Inn in Bend, where the service felt more professional and guest-focused. This is the hotel I usually stay at and it's always been a good experience, but this time I wanted an upscale experience since it was over New Years and I love an upscale hotel experience. I travel a lot and this was the worst experience I have had in a long time. The whole stay was very disappointing from the time we checked in, to our dining experience at their restaurant (they gave us a salad with croutons so hard they almost broke our tooth), clear up to the point we checked out. The rooms may be nice, but customer service matters more--and that's where this stay fell short.

It's just a little bit away from the downtown scene in Bend in an area that is being revitalized. I love the branding all over the hotel. They warm, brown and orange colors and all of the thoughtful touches and decor really made it stand out and feel super inviting. We enjoyed our five nights stay there very much. When we first checked in, I was a little disappointed that we were not in the main building. We were in a second building that was kind of across the street and the common area around it isn't quite as cute. It ended up being a good thing because the hotel pool and the Fire Pit area are super popular and it gets quite lively out there in the evenings. I appreciated being a little bit away from that because our room was so quiet. The people that work at the hotel are great, really friendly and helpful. We had a great time at the pool, I went every day! On Sunday, they have a big pool party and it seems like there are people from town that come because most of the people were checking out of the hotel that morning. They had a couple DJs, we went and enjoyed the music and the scene and had a blast. They have a bar area that opens in the afternoon that serves all sorts of cocktails but also they have nonalcoholic and CBD drinks available. They have a burrito, food truck and a coffee food truck in the parking lot Tuesdays through Saturdays and both of them were awesome. I wanted to give the hotel five stars but there are a couple things they could work on. First of all, the shower pressure was excellent and I liked how high the showerhead was, but the showerhead was in a fixed position. Every single time I showered there I would get blasted with cold water intermittently during the shower. With the showerhead, not being movable, there was no way for me to get out of the cold water stream. I just had to handle it until it got warm again or get out of the shower. I have a ton of hair so I can't just get out of the shower in the middle of washing my hair, that stuff has got to get rinsed out. Secondly, I appreciate that they don't clean the room every day. That seems like a waste to me. They told me at the front desk to let them know if there was a day I'd like to get my room cleaned before 11 AM that morning. So on Sunday morning at 8:15 AM I walked over to the front desk to ask to have our room cleaned that day and was told that because there were so many checkouts that they can't clean my room that day but would clean it the next day instead. Well, the next day was one day before we were leaving so it didn't really make sense. Also, our trash cans were running over, we were out of toilet paper and we needed new towels. So I ended up getting trash bags, towels, and toilet paper from reception and bringing them back to the room and then bagging up all of our trash and putting it outside the room. It wasn't the end of the world, but if they weren't available to do the room on a specific day, it would've been nice to get a heads up. We could've gotten it done the day before. Lastly, as much as I liked the aesthetic of the room, the bedframe is oversized and juts out just a little bit. It's dark brown, and the room is kind of dimly lit (nice aesthetic). I smacked both of my knees on that bedframe on different days and my man also smacked his knees on it. I took a photo of my knee next to the bedframe and you can see that the material of the frame is worn in that spot, it looks like a lot of people smack items or their body parts on it. They need to put a little cushion protection on that thing!

I'm actually sad to say…read morethat I only had one night here as I really loved the vibe of the place and would have loved to spend more time at the hotel. I knew of the McMenamins line of hotels due to a friend who had taken me to their Edgefield property when I was visiting. They had described the place as an adult Disneyland and that's a pretty good description for it. It had so many things going on above and beyond the hotel itself. So, when I saw that there was a McMenamins in Bend, OR I decided to try it out. It was a little hard to figure out where the main entrance was as I arrived in town when it was dark out. I managed to find a parking spot quickly, but I noticed as the evening went on it was packed with cars. The hotel is located on a corner toward the end of the downtown area and it's an easy, well lit walk to shops and restaurants. But, there are so many options to eat and drink at the hotel that you don't need to leave if you don't want to. The main part of the hotel where you check in has a rustic look to it. I hadn't made reservations as I was trying to see how far I could get toward home before stopping. It was a Sunday night and thankfully they had an opening. The two people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and I was able to get a room in the main building. As a solo, female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable not only in the hotel but in the town as well. I also found out that not only do they accept dogs, but they accept large dogs. And the bartender I spoke with said the town is very dog friendly. Although my dog wasn't with me on this trip I would love to return with him. My room was a decent size. It had a lot of different lighting options so it could have been very bright in there if I preferred or I could keep it more dimly lit. They make their own coffee, so they had four packets of coffee out (two with caffeine and two decaffeinated), a small coffee maker and some cream and sugars. I happened to get a room that was ADA compliant, so the bathroom was huge with a large walk/roll in shower. It was a lot of white tile and it was spotless. I was so tired and the room was so comfortable I would have been happy just staying in all evening. The grounds have several bars, a hidden speakeasy, a movie theater and a restaurant. So, if you decided to stay at the hotel then you would have plenty to keep you occupied. The patios had tons of heaters, so it was still pleasant to sit outside on a cold night. I was right next to the lobby, so I was a little worried it would be loud and it wasn't. I was also right next to where they set out a coffee station in the morning, which was convenient. The bed was comfortable and I couldn't have asked for more. I definitely plan on returning and staying longer, so I can take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer.

The Mill Inn provided a lovely spot for a date night with my husband recently. I knew he'd love it,…read moreand sure enough, on the drive home he mentioned how much he enjoyed our stay and how he'd like to return. We stayed in the River Wild room, which had an outdoor entrance. The bed was comfortable, and the room was straightforward. Across the street is a coffee shop by day that turns into a nonalcoholic upscale bar type place in the evening. The breakfast was exceptional, and I appreciated their offer to make me some scrambled eggs since I'm allergic to dairy and could have the (delicious looking) frittatas. I was thrilled to have Metolius tea there. The hot tub is a nice amenity, though it was a bit scummy when I went in. I also was unaware that there was hot (and cold) water available in a book by the breakfast room for guests, and a mini fridge. None of the emails had mentioned anything about those, nor could I find any info in the room. So this is your heads up! I really wanted a cup of tea before bed, so having this info would have been appreciated. It's centrally located and great for walking to wherever you want to go, if that's your thing. (Or drive if it's not, lol)

I would have loved to give this place five stars but the bed really messed up my back. I noticed…read morethey mentioned if you want an extra bed they can set one up and I opted not to request that because I expected it to be a sofa bed. When we arrived the extra bed was set up and it took over the whole living room which was a bummer. Then I stupidly slept on it the first night because it looked like a decent bed and I thought I'd let my mom have the king to herself but I woke up in absolute agony. Next night I slept on the king too and it was very comfortable. They should only have that bed set up on request because it's a terrible bed and should only be a last resort sleeping spot. Other than the horrible bed we had a very nice time.

We stayed here while driving up to Seattle, stopping in bend for a night to see a show. Was excited…read moreto book somewhere local, and the reviews read great so we were super excited. While this inn has some nice things about it, namely a good bed and small patio, we found ourselves quite frustrated with the other parts of the stay. We brought our dog along, having checked that they were pet friendly and made arrangements to have the correct room. He is a calm, well trained, adult dog who is used to stayed in hotel rooms since we have spent a lot of time on the road. I , as always, read into their policies as available through Expedia and their website and found there would be no reason to expect anything different from our standard experience with other hotels. However, during check inn the women at the front desk asked what I was going to do with our pup while we are at the concert. Confused by this, she explained to me that their policy is not to allow dogs to be unattended in the room. She asked if I was going to leave him in the car (it is early September, and the heat would - as we know- make this extremely dangerous and possibly lethal for my pup). She additionally admitted that it would be hard to find that they hold this policy by simply looking through their website. In fact, the pet policies do NOT state that the pets are not allowed to be left in the room. Assuming we would have to cancel our plans for the night as to not have to leave him, we were extremely disappointed. Luckily, I was able to drive 45 minutes out of town to bring him to a family friends house until after the concert. This being said, this is not standard and is not conducive to being a "pet friendly" hotel if patrons are not able to leave their dog while going to dinner or an other activity. I even asked if we would be able to crate him and he could wear his e-collar (used for off leash work on our farm, but will guarantee he will not bark) which was declined. The women at the front desk was always kind, but unconcerned as to how this affected us and that we were not properly notified of the policy (nor would any other customer be). If we did not have family outside of town, we would have had to find somewhere else to stay or cancel our plans for the night. This policy needs to be made clear at booking. Besides for this, we were unimpressed with our room as it had a notable unpleasant smell when we walked in and had more than 10 bugs in the bathroom at all times. Including dead ones on the counter. The air in the room did not work, which especially frustrating during wildfire season as having a cool breeze come in is not an option when the air quality is extremely dangerous due to the smoke. Save your money and simply stay at the Hampton inn or one of the other places in town.
