Stayed here for a couple weeks. Great place. Super quiet, not much noise from outside. They were working on remodeling parts of the hotel, but never once had any noise or even saw them working. But saw materials disappearing from the piles outside and saw where they were working. That was great to not be bothered at all due to that. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They have grill to use and all the utensils for grilling. Used that almost every night. They also had some basic seasonings, but work in a pinch. I purchased my own that I like and then left them the rest for the next person to use. Only complaint (but not really) is the water fill up was in the gym outside through a locked gate and door. Not convenient, but it wasn't so bad. Clean rooms, nice little kitchen to use and keep my food so I didn't have to eat out every day. I will stay here next time I am in town. read more

We've stayed here twice in the past month or so. ROOM I've really liked the ability to have a kitchen in the room. Just having a full complement of dishes and tableware is nice for these days when eating inside in a restaurant is still a little much for me. The first room we stayed in 234 was nice but for being what they call an oversized King studio that it was not. It was obvious this was converted to be this and the fact we were traveling with a bicycle it was a bit unwieldly for movement about the room. The next stay same room type but 237 was obviously built for what they called it a larger King studio (actual naming conventions may vary-but you get my meaning). This room came with a complete desk assembly. Which is in my photo. It was super nice as I had some errands to run but the YS was working on his laptop he found all the things he needed wall plugs and comfortable chair to do his work. BREAKFAST Much more robust and helpful than my previous stays at Choice Hotels. I selected Choice in Redmond because they were closer to where I needed to be but this was less expensive and overall better in everyway. We were able to select some items and take them to the room to toast bagels and the like. It's was really nice to be able to do that. SNACKS AND BEVERAGES FOR SALE According to the YS, the little store had a nice selection of craft beers, wines, and soft drinks as well as some little snacks available for purchase. The Safeway store is walking distance but if you just want to walk to the front desk they are there for you. POOL & HOT TUB Pool is closed but the hot tub is outside and available. Not much is said about this but I asked and you can use it year round. I didn't have the opportunity but next time. LAUNDRY ON SITE They do have a laundry room on the first floor for the guests use. I didn't use but it's definitely nice to have because there is always that one time you might need it. HELPFUL STAFF Kudos go to Joe the front desk supervisor for tracking down and mailing my phone cord to me. I had just purchased it for $40 so I really didn't want to start over again. While he was off for a couple of days I had trouble getting anyone to give me a straight answer but when he returned from his weekend I spoke to him and got him to FED EX it to me. He was able to charge the shipping to my previous folio so yeah it wasn't cheap but I didn't have to purchase a new one. So, yay! All in all when I have more business in town I will likely stay here as it has everything I need. read more

Our whole baseball team stayed there, along with 3 other teams during our tournament last weekend and the older gal at the front desk continued to yell at our kids and harass the adults. I stayed one night here. Checking was easy but my room air-conditioning was not functioning correctly. I called the front desk and they said it takes a little bit to get going. I never did I was too tired to deal with it and just open the windows. In the morning I was checking the room to make sure I didn't leave anything I open the closet to discover a pair of men's boxer underwear had been left behind. I was quite shocked considering the steps the hotel or taken due to COVID-19. I was frankly disgusted and disturbed to find them. I complain to the man at the front desk and he insured me that he would talk to his manager. He claimed the manager would call me. I never received a call nor an offer of a discount or anything. If this is the quality that I can expect from this hotel I will never stay here again. I received a phone call from the hotel today. The gentleman at the front desk spoke to the manager and got me a discount. 25% off my next stay if I reserve directly from them. I booked my through him through hotels Tonight. The room rate is $97 without tax. The website is offering that exact same room for $124. If I book through them with the discount I will be paying $93 without tax. I save $3!!! Good value paid $211 for 2 rooms, 2 bath suite with kitchenette. Nothing fancy but decent enough. Check in was a pleasure, front desk staff was awesome, very friendly. I was a little surprised by the dinky size of the kitchenette refrigerator, no oven and little two burner stove top. Not much of a kitchen to really cook in but worked for us. They are doing construction but that wasn't an issue during our visit - aside from the almost comical dumpster view out the window. Check out is noon - definitely a perk!!! Free breakfast was pretty good, lots to choose from plus and once again friendly faces in the dining room!! read more

Location. Pool/hot tub. Customer service. These are the top qualities from the suites we stayed in for a week. It's easy to bike/walk/drive to anywhere in town because it's centrally located. Every morning we enjoyed free breakfast that had choices of premise or fresh waffles, croissant sandwiches or English muffin sandwiches, quiche, yogurt, oatmeal with the fixings of your choice, fruit, cereal, gf chocolate muffins, or toast. The lobby always has tea, coffee, and cold water available. 7-10am on weekend, 6:30-9:30am on weekdays. The pool was a perfect size to cool off after hiking and hiking along with a hot tub in the evenings. We didn't use the exercise room but there were two treadmills and an elliptical and basic weights. There's also a shared bbq and fire pit table to enjoy. We barbecued a few times out there! The room was a one bed suite with a pull out couch. The full size bed was comfy, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchenette saved us money! It includes a mini fridge/freezer, two burner stove, dishwasher and pantry. The table is a pull out roller/desk. It was a versatile space for us, a toddler, and dog. We stored our bikes in our room. Some folks kept theirs on the bike rack in the parking lot but we opted not to. I wanted to give a special shout out of gratitude to Sophie who greeted us at breakfast each morning and made our baby laugh! Also thank you to Brin at the front desk for the ample amount of dog treats and belly rubs for our dog! My only improvement is that you have to be proactive about housekeeping. If this sticker is an attempt by someone being trafficked seeking help, I am sorry I didn't alert 911. In retrospect, I should have notified Bend PD, which I will do this afternoon. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The written handout we received at checkin was very clear about what to expect regarding breakfast, the pool, masks, etc. and we referred to it throughout our stay. Breakfast was disappointing but COVID, labor shortages, etc make that understandable. I got the impression that everyone I encountered was doing their best given the circumstances. This is an older property, I'm guessing, because the noise issues cannot be overstated. We're on the ground floor and it genuinely sounds like linebackers are on their first two-a-day upstairs. Some signage out front might be helpful after 9 pm to remind guests to keep it down as they enter the hotel. Given the upstairs banging and rowdy teens and dogs in the hallways, I was lucky to make it to sleep by 10:30 and stay that way until 6:30. read more

Very disappointed. The night was $330 plus $50 for our pets (for 1 queen bed) and this place wasn't worth $100 a night. Disgusting stained carpets, stained tub, touch up paint that didn't match the color of the wall, cracks in the bathroom ceiling, a toilet that moved when you sit on it and a super outdated kitchen (which I now realize is why there are no photos of it on their website). I slept terribly knowing how gross the place was. Will think twice before staying at a Marriott, sadly. read more

I really want to love this place and give it 5 stars but unfortunately there are some issues that just makes it impossible. The biggest issue here is soundproofing. You can feel the floors vibrating when heavy footsteps walk across the hallways. I could actually feel it while I'm laying in bed. Im glad I got the top floor otherwise I will be hearing my neighbors above me. If good soundproofing is a big deal for you and you are a light sleeper or have noise sensitivity, this is not the place for you. Whats interesting is that even if my room is facing the parking lot, I never had issues with noise from the outside, everything was from the inside. Don't even get me started with doors slamming hard and loud. I was wearing earplugs with headphone music and I can still hear some of these noises. The rooms are really showing its wear and tear and age. I had to rig the phone wires to get the audio working fine. The light bulb was flickering and even after I reported it, they never fixed it the next day so I just let it be. One of the burners dont work. I stayed in room 223. What saved tihs place from a dismal 2 stars is the customer service provided by Ben from the front desk. There was another dark haired younger latin girl there who was not bad but the other older woman in the front desk doesnt cut it for me. If these issues dont bother you then I think this property will be fine. Otherwise, I will look somewhere else. We always end up at the residence inn. read more

Quite a comfortable stay in the quaint city of Bend. Amenities were great and include everything you need. Rooms are a little on the older side, but very spacious and even include a small kitchen and microwave. Excellent hospitality as well! My only issue is with the weird typography canvas by the doorway, which was a little... off... to say the least haha. Location is a little ways off from the all the action but in a nice quiet part of town. There's a Safeway and Starbucks a 5 minute walk away to satisfy all of your consumer needs. :) read more

I stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday. My husband had some work to do in town on a Friday and usually stays at Marriott's when he travels for work. This hotel was the nicest TownePlace suites I have stayed in. First off, they are dog friendly, which is awesome because I love traveling with my pups. Room 219 was spacious, my only complaint... It was on the east side of the hotel and even with blackout curtains I had trouble sleeping in past 7:30am. The coffee in the lobby is good, we ate out all 3 mornings, but they do offer free breakfast. The location is decent, we walked to Baldy's BBQ one night. But to get to downtown or the Old Mill district, it is driving distance. On Friday afternoon M and I were laying out by the pool on towels on concrete, the loungers were not out yet. We did not bother the staff about it since we were only planning on laying out for a short time. Well they noticed and within 30 minutes they were cleaning loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas. We hung out by the pool for another couple hours on my birthday and it was great. We spent some time by the pool Saturday also and it was packed. The staff was really warm and friendly during the whole trip. We skipped housekeeping since we had the dogs, but the room had everything we needed. We did not cook in the room, but there was a kitchenette. We got late checkout (it may have to do with M's elite gold status) and were on our way around 1 on Sunday. read more

Great hotel! I only stayed for one night as I was in town for a wedding but if you'll be visiting Bend for an extended amount of time I recommend staying here. The room was clean and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There is a kitchenette including a sink, mini fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all the necessities of a kitchen. The room has a desk so you can work comfortably from your room and a small living room area. The TV is near the bed but swivels so you can see if from either the bed or the living room area. The bathroom is small but I like that the sink and mirror are separate so you can still get ready if someone else needs to shower or use the toilet. There was complimentary breakfast included with my room. There was a juice machine and coffee. For food there was a small pastry collection, some hot options, and a waffle maker. It's not a 5 star breakfast but it is just the thing to get your day started. There is a pool for summer time use and a hot tub that can be used throughout the year. The staff is friendly and very helpful. read more

I stayed for two nights in a Larger King Suite with a Sofa bed for $114 a night. What a good rate! Especially with a mini kitchen with a full fridge and stove and all! Very clean room interior with modern decor. Tv wasn't huge but I didn't watch it anyway. Heater worked great. I have no complaints whatsoever regarding service or the room or my overall stay. Maybe my only slightest thing close to a complaint was the snowblower guy kept blowing some snow on our car, but he was just trying to do his job! No worries :) read more

Being avid Marriottors, this was the first Marriott where I have stayed that pushed dog friendly to a whole new level. There were literally dogs everywhere, even barking dogs in the hallway. If you are not a pet/dog lover you might want to find other accommodations. However, that said, even with the amount of dogs that we say we were pleased that the place didn't smell like a kennel and there was no evidence in our room that it had ever been inhabited by a K9 guest. Pool and hot tub were awesome and we even used the BBQ. Bring your own knives if you like sharp ones. There is a Safeway right down the street and if you MTB you can ride from the hotel to the trailhead. Beds were comfy and while the kitchen was small it was well equipped and we cooked every meal. read more

What a great place! Clean, beautiful, comfortable, friendly and including all of my favorites: breakfast, evening cookies, in room coffee/tea, large comfortable rooms with kitchenettes and a great business center. The fitness facility looks great too. We also took advantage of the convenient laundry facilities (we were mountain biking and got caught in a rain/hail storm!). The only wish I had was that the hotel be closer to the Deschutes River....oh well. It's only 5 minutes away. 5 minutes from all of the great dining and shopping at the new Old Mill or downtown. 5 minutes from that fabulous riverfront park and river rafting or mountain biking. 5 minutes from the road to Mt. 3.5 stars -- a-okay in my book. Spent one night here for a business trip. Bend doesn't offer a lot of various big name chain hotels, but it was nice to have a Towneplace Suites so at least I could earn some extra Marriott Rewards points. Check-in was fine...no worries there. Was given a room on the 2nd floor, corner room. Overlooked the pool that is closed for the winter, and the fitness center that few people go to - ha! Yes, there is complimentary breakfast downstairs. However, with an OPH next door - - I HAD to go there for my pancakes. :) (Too convenient.) Bed was comfortable. Heater worked fine Nice to have a small fridge and microwave. (I got some dinner and water at the Trader Joe's in town - - it was nice for a change to not eat out.) As to be expected, bathroom toiletries are pretty basic. Again, everything was comfortable for me. What I'd expect from a Towneplace -- it did the job. Thanks. read more

This is a nice place to stay. I would give it a 4 except for some shortcomings we ran into on our one night stay there. First let me hit the good points: *The place is nicely located and looks like the rooms have had recent remodeling. *Our room was a small suite with a microwave, cook top range, full-size refer with freezer, coffee pot, dishes, knives and cutlery. Sort of a Residence Inn in miniature. *The desk was quite helpful and they are still very dog friendly. * The breakfast looked good. Love the hot waffles. Worth the stay. Short comings: * The location is noisy early in the morning with lots of traffic sounds. * The sounds of heavy footed people on the second floor are truly annoying, especially going on later in the evening. The front desk tried to quite them down and did help. But the person above our room seemed to be a compulsive walker. *The phone did not work in the room, so we had to cell phone the front desk for any requests (see comment on walker in room above). *Nice place to to walk the dogs, but I can see why many places are going off dog friendly as we seemed to be the only people who policed up after our dogs. I have seen mine fields, but the lawns around here were amazing. I know the Hotel tries to police up, but after this weekend, it looked like "a Maginot Line minefield". *Bed was quite soft. Maybe just me, but a firmer bed would be appreciated. Overall, we would return next time if they could control the noise a bit better. The price was very reasonable and their pet friendly policy is one of the better. read more

Spent 2 nights here last week. I've stayed in Towneplaces before, but was surprised entering this place - it was well laid out and comfortable, better than some studio apartments I've been in. Also found it to be one of the quietest hotels I've stayed in. It wasn't full while I was there, but there was no sound coming from adjacent rooms, nothing from the hallways....unusually quiet. The bed and chairs were comfortable, there was a good workstation for my laptop, mini-kitchen. My only complaint it that even though there were about 10 pillows on the bed, they were all thin and too soft. Continental breakfast was good, counter staff was helpful, and they had a large city map on the wall showing directions thru town and markers for various restaurants and attractions. Bottom line, it was comfortable and reasonably priced ($86/night). Not spectacular, but what they do, they do well. read more

We stayed at the TownePlace Suites for two nights while on a mini-vacation in Bend. We loved it. First of all, any place that is pet friendly is a great place for us. We love traveling with our dogs, and it's a big money saver. We stayed in room 236, which had a beautiful view of a little wooded area. The room was very big, and we loved the king size bed (we have a full at home, so this was a treat). The kitchenette made the stay convenient. While we didn't cook in the room, it was nice to have a refrigerator and a microwave for leftovers. The pool area was very nice (I loved that there was a bathroom right there), and the hotel was very clean with a friendly staff. I'd definitely stay again! read more

This is my favorite Marriott. I stay here every time I can when I travel to Bend. People are amazing. But pillows are waaaaaaaaaay too soft. And there is a high pitch whine coming from the AC fan at any speed. Between the pillow and the fan, I got under 4 hours sleep. So today I'll go buy a pillow and ear plugs. Other than this the rooms are great. The TV has abilities to sign-in to Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and others. We played Clue in the lounge and ate cookies the staff made. The kitchenette and bathroom are just what I need. The bed is comfy. The doors don't slam. And I don't hear neighbors other when next door did what sounded like a kitchen remodel with slamming every cabinet and drawer. Other than that it is quiet. But that damn fan. May it be stuck in a boring PowerPoint purgatory. read more

Had a really nice stay here over the weekend for my birthday. Wanted to get out of town so I went out to Central Oregon and stayed here because I enjoy the extended stay type of suites. This might be the quietest Marriott hotel I've ever stayed in. It felt so peaceful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Night audit in particular answered any request and were always polite. The room itself was clean, roomy and everything worked great. Loved the bed too. This'll be my go-to whenever I come back to Bend. read more

I loved staying at the TownePlace Suites Bend. The property is not downtown but really close to that area and nearby is a river where you can paddle board or kayak (when it's not too cold). It's dog-friendly and they offer breakfast. They have an outdoor pool and spa. This is actually my second stay at this property and I highly recommend it if you are traveling to Bend. read more

I stay at a lot of hotels for work and like to travel a lot. I couldn't have been happier with choosing this place for an extended stay of nearly two weeks as we moved to Bend and were looking for a place to live. The staff here is excellent and super friendly! It's a pet friendly hotel and they loved my Basset Hound and spoiled her with treats and lots of petting and love! Room was nice, updated, and clean. Breakfast was good every morning and one day I mixed up the hours and showed up after they had started closing. I thought I was out of luck but the woman working the breakfast area that day, Melissa, actually plugged the waffle maker and juice machine back in and volunteered to make some fresh eggs and sausage for us! I couldn't believe it and was super grateful for that kind of customer service. I also made friends with Cecelia and found out we had a mutual friend from where I had just moved from. All of the staff were great though and went out of there way to make us feel at home and welcomed to Bend and were super helpful during the mega snowstorm that hit and giving recommendations everyday on places to check out and good spots to eat. I had originally been looking for an entire house to rent for a nice weekend in Bend, but I wasn't really digging the cleaning fee attached to that. The Marriott Suites was a great alternative. Each room has a nice comfy bed with plenty of soft puffy pillows, a spacious work space, a fully functioning kitchenette, and a flat screen that actually pivots depending on where you are in the room, I can watch TV from the comfort of the bed or from the love seat on the other side of the room. There's a continental breakfast every morning, hotel is close to local restaurants, bars, supermarkets, with Mt. Bachelor less than 20 miles away. After what me and my guests went through to get here, these amenities felt all the more sweeter. Once my guests and I checked into the hotel, we made a bee line to the hotel's outdoor hot tub. As we soaked there, we recounted our nightmare of a drive over the pass, how our chains had broken off one of our tires and disappeared somewhere on the dark, lonely road before the Olallie pass, only to find it wrapped around our axle after we bought some replacement ones. How as we white-knuckled through the blizzard, the black ice, and the dangerously un-snowplowed road, images of the Donner party racing in our heads, our little Ford Tempo turned out to be the little engine that could. Yes, we got through that hairy drive and now soaking in a steaming hot tub sipping ice cold beer surrounded by a blanket of snow as more snow floated down all around us. Definitely one of those 'Yep, life is good' moments. read more

What a great place to stay! Big rooms, free breakfast, great pool/hot tub and dog friendly. Staff are really kind and do everything to make the visit comfortable. It's a little bit outside of the main drag, but we enjoyed the access to Riverbend Park and were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. This is a perfect base to explore Bend. read more

Our great experience with TownPlace Suites online when we made reservations. We were pleasantly surprised by the great rates and immediately booked a room. On the day we were to arrive we checked in online while heading to the hotel. When we arrived, about an hour after checking in online, the staff were waiting for us. Check in took only a couple of minutes. Our room was an actual suite! King size bed, full kitchen(including a dishwasher), and a clean bathroom! The room was quiet all night even though this hotel is very dog friendly! No foul odors. No sign of dogs in the hotel! The next morning we were treated to a good hit free breakfast. The food was fresh. The staff keep things stocked and clean! While eating I saw multiple dogs leaving the hotel. I had no clue (I actually had forgotten this is a dog friendly hotel) the dogs were in the building! We are already looking forward to the next trip to Bend. We will be returning to the TownPlace Suites soon! read more
