For the money very clean and cozy. Very comparable to Motel 6 for even a little less. Definitely a good way to go cheap in Redmond

Hampton Inn Redmond Bend Airport - Breakfast Area

Pretty solid HI. I wish Yelp would stop prompting me to review it since it remains very…read moreconsistent. I have nothing new to say. I go to RDM to work on a regular basis and this is the hotel I try to book. The Best Western that I stayed in on one of my first visits was unspeakable. This HI lets me request and use my digital key without a front desk visit first which is great when I don't get there until late after work. In other respects it's what you expect from this Hilton brand. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. You get plenty of room to repack and there's a little fridge to keep your drinks and leftovers. An oven as well if you need it. Prices rise with the temperatures in the summer so book it early if you know you're going or you'll get stuck with the Comfort Inn where the patronage is on the sketchy side.

This is a very nice Hampton with the expected Hampton quality and touches. For example, it feels…read morebrand new, but I don't think it is. The layout of the front area is also inviting and comfortable. There is the standard seating arrangement in the breakfast area, but there is also a tall long table, semi private booths, and a magazine eeading area with guides about the Redmond natural beauty. I was wondering would expect, parking is not a problem at all and the whole parking was well a lit. The king size bed was comfortable with a large selection of different pillows. They're here worked well and was quiet which is a huge Plus. I have two minor issues though that removed one star. The first one is that they didn't provide enough towels for two people including one hand towel. The bathroom had a dark sliding door that doesn't provide enough privacy , and this particular one didn't fit well so there was a latge gap when it was shut all the way.

A week before our reservation, my wife called and confirmed our reservation. Then, three days before our scheduled check-in, the hotel called us and said they did not have any rooms after all, and they had to cancel our reservation. It sounds like they had multiple rooms under construction and were taking reservations for those rooms, but the construction wasn't completed as soon as they thought. Unfortunately, them canceling our reservation last minute proved extremely difficult as most hotels in the area were already booked up with the state tournament. To make matters worse, at the time my wife made the original reservation, hotel management offered my wife to sit through an hour long timeshare presentation just to get a discount rate. Then to have them cancel our reservation last minute, added insult to injury. We will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Wow. Had a first-time hotel experience, that while it's no fault of Choice Hotels, was still…read morepretty upsetting. The room itself was fine and had a nice view of the canal outside. I got good sleep and despite it not being top floor, I had no dancing neighbors above me. Instead, I had the neighbors that checked into 230 or 232 across the hall. The host handed me the key to room 229 and as I approached the door of my room in the hallway, I could see a woman with all her crap on the floor sifting through it looking for something. I didn't think any more of it and spent some time sorting through my things getting ready for work later that evening. I was hungry so I went downstairs to see what they offered in the pantry, found nothing that appealed and walked back to the stairs to floor 2. A wiry, angry looking man in a white T-shirt came down the hall towards me and went into the room where I'd seen the woman before. Again, didn't think much of it... until the screaming and shouting began. There were expletives and plenty of hate for an hour. I thought I heard someone getting hit and at one time I heard the woman screaming HELP over and over. I called the front desk, but no one answered, and I definitely didn't want to leave my room. The woman left and found she'd been locked out and started pounding on the door asking for her phone. (Yes, I could easily hear all this inside or outside their room from inside my room.) They finally left still screaming at each other thankfully so I was able to sneak out and get to the airport to do my job. When I returned the privacy tag was on their door and I hoped that was it. It wasn't. At 7:45 they started screaming and yellling again. I heard something being thrown. The man claimed she'd hit him in the head and she said it wasn't true. They left the room again with the man shouting "you're going to jail, bitch!" I'm shocked no one else heard this on floor 2. I checked out and left the hotel. Odds are, this is probably a one-off occurrence, but it'll make me think twice when I'm choosing between Hampton and Comfort Suites.

We returned to Eagle Crest on an Interval International exchange using our Kona Coast Resort unit…read more Eagle Crest is a large project and it's a little confusing about which projects are managed by what company, so I am specifically reviewing the Worldmark Resort property and should not be applied to any other hotels or resorts at Eagle Crest. We have stayed at several Worldmark properties in the past, and this is our definite favorite. First off we were able to fly directly into Redmond from SFO, avoiding a two drive from Portland as that's how we came last time. The airport is small but that's a plus as far as we were concerned, and our Costco rental car from Budget was fine. Our check in was easy and Kiyah was a great rep for Worldmark. We got a text from her a few minutes after we were in the unit asking how things were, and that was a nice touch. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. We own two vacation rentals and live in Kona and are appreciative of a job well done. Everything was immaculate, and it seemed like it had been recently updated. I had called the week before, asking for a unit on the Deschutes river side, and we happily had an end unit with a great view. The gal I spoke with was friendly and let me know that checkin had moved so I had a google map address which made it easy to find. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and more. The dishwasher was the only appliance that needs retirement lol. The bedroom with attached bath and a work desk was excellent. It was relaxing to take a long hot bath in a huge tub after a long flight. We used the Weber grill on the patio three times during the week we were there. The Sisters meat market in Redmond is well worth a visit. One word of warning for people that have problems with stairs: this is a multi floor unit. You enter at one level and go down a flight of stairs to the living room and kitchen and one bedroom with two twins. From the entry you go up a flight to the main bedroom with huge bath/shower and king bed. So there are lots of stairs if you are going up and down from the living room (which is so cozy with the gas fireplace) up to the main bedroom. I'd find someplace else that had less stairs if that's a criteria. I'm typing this as I use the fast 500 mbps (ookala speedtest) internet and we are streaming from our ipad all of our regular addictions. My one complaint, and it is a major one, is the horrible cheap mattresses. There were far too firm, and terrible for both of our backs, resulting in back and neck aches. Perhaps they'd sourced them from a cheap manufacturer, but saving money on mattresses is foolish especially these days when you are judged on how comfortable a nights sleep is. We managed to survive by taking the comforters from the twins and placing them across the king mattress where our hips and shoulders were aching and then got a couple more blankets from housekeeping. It helped, but not enough. We fortunately were staying in an airbnb the following week with a fantastic mattress and the contrast was stunning. I complained about this on our last visit, hopefully with the management change that happened in the summer they will allocate funds to refresh a crucial part of the guest experience, a restful nights sleep. Again, this is a Worldmark exchange and should not be confused with any other property at Eagle Crest. Interval International exchanges have different rules and costs and things like internet access are included. Your experience without being an II member or Worldmark owner may be very different. We exchanged a week in a beautiful timeshare in Kona to stay here and were quite happy. For us, this is one of our favorites and we will definitely be back. Mahalo.
