The rooms are spacious, I just can't get past how long it took to check in and the rude front desk guy at checkout! In my whole life I have never been treated like he treated me ( he literally must hate his job and the company and that he has to work) This motel must not be able to get or keep front desk staff. Had to stay here b/c my usual choice for a hotel in Redmond, the Comfort Suites was all booked and the Hampton Inn was charging $260/night which I didn't feel like paying. I thought this hotel was fine although possibly somewhat overpriced at $125/night compared to what you get at the Comfort Suites. The clientele seemed fine, the front desk person who checked me in was pleasant, the room was immaculately clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave but no coffeemaker or hair dryer although hair dryer is available on request from the front desk. There is free coffee in the lobby until 10 am. The water pressure was good. I didn't hear my neighbors any more than in any other hotel. No intrusions from housekeeping. I find myself pretty surprised at the rating I am about to give a Motel 6, of all things, but honestly, the five stars are well-earned. Now, to preface, I am not going to claim that this (or any) Motel 6 is a five-star hotel. They're just not. They serve one purpose: budget accommodations for the road weary (or cheap) traveler. I'm not a travel snob by any means, and I've stayed at a Motel 6 before, and not all of the experiences have been pleasant. But this particular location has done quite a bit to salvage their reputation. This last weekend, my wife and I decided to take a day trip to Bend with our dogs, fully intending to return home the same day. When our day trip ran late into the evening hours (due to a chance encounter with some of my wife's friends from high school), we found ourselves facing a dilemma: drive home in the middle of the night, or find a dog-friendly hotel in the area. The former seemed unappealing, and the latter nearly impossible: most of the animal-accommodating accommodations were fully booked...save for a Motel 6 in Redmond, 15-minutes away. The rate ($79) was pretty damned reasonable, and we weren't exactly flush with choices. Upon arrival, we found the lobby to be pristine clean; a short line of customers checking in was quickly processed, and our own check in took little more than a minute. We trotted our puppers up to the room and settled in. Our room, Spartan and sparsely furnished, was clean and free of odors. The bed itself was raised up on metal leg posts, which were wrapped in foam to prevent shin-smacking. There will be no accolades awarded for the decor (blood orange curtains and Ikea-quality evoke the feeling of sleeping in a conference room), but the bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. I slept like a rock. I heard none of our adjoining guests (or their pets), despite the motel being fully booked. Check out took all of three seconds to drop off the card key. In short, the Redmond Motel 6 did their job competently, efficiently, and provided a clean, safe and convenient respite for us and our doggos. If I ever find myself in a similar scenario in the future, I won't be turning up my nose at the thought of staying at a Motel 6 again, if they can compare with the quality of the experience I was privy to here in Redmond. read more

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I have been trying to contact the establishment after finding FECAL MATTER AND URINE under my bed... I was taking pictures of the room as there were gouges everywhere and lots of scratches and missing paint and I didn't want to be charged for it. I went to plug in my phone and looked under the bed by coincidence. I saw the body matter and immediately brought it up to the front desk woman. She expressed remorse, but couldn't offer anything except another room. I asked her to leave detailed note for when the Manager came in the next morning. She stated she would be in at 11. I was disgusted and found other accommodations for the night. I came back in the morning to talk to the manager and she had not shown up. They said no call no show. So I again left frustrated. I went back the next day and she was there, but was told she was "unavailable". I called corporate and the matter is being handled there since the manager avoided me. The staff were combative (except Kim. She was amazingly understanding). The manager was rude when I checked in and the other lady when I was trying to recieve help the 2 days after was rude and arrogant like it wasn't her problem. I have pictures with time stamps. They also mentioned they has 2 cleaning ladies for all 72 rooms. Those poor ladies. 0/0 do not reccomend. read more

We arrived to the Hotel in the front desk, staff made us aware that the hot water heater was broken, at this point all the other hotels in town were sold out so we had no other option to stay at the hotel. We paid over $300 to stay at a motel six with no hot water, we talked with the hotel staff, and they made us aware that they couldn't put any discounts on the bill. When I booked the hotel, There was an agreement on services for cash, they did not hold up their end of the bargain on the services so to make things right they should have put a discount on the end bill which they did not. read more

The staff were super nice and check in was a breeze! It's great they allow dogs! There was a dog show that weekend but you never heard dogs bark. They had cable tv in the room, a comfortable bed and the walls weren't thin. Great value for the money. I'd recommend and stay here again if visiting Redmond or Bend. Despite being right off the highway it was quiet! The only drawback was there weren't many areas to walk my dog as the lots had a ton of glass and brambles with spikes. read more

I sincerely wish I could give zero stars. One of the things I noticed as I was preparing to leave my room this morning, was that there are no "do not disturb" tags that you can leave on your door. So I went to the front desk, and talked to the manager. I inquired about the do not disturb signs and she said "sorry", and made a note in the computer system that I did not want housekeeping services. When I returned to the hotel this evening, before I went to my room, I went to the front desk and inquired about a do not disturb sign to put on my door. The very rude person who was working on March 1st 2022 at 6 PM told me they 1) don't have do not disturb signs to put on the door, and 2) they have the right to come in my room whenever they want. On July 7, 2017, I was the other occupant of room 326 of Motel 6, Redmond, OR -- aka the room with the giant hole in the bathroom door. Frankly, I am shocked and appalled that management considers it acceptable to rent out a room in this condition, particularly with absolutely no warning or offer of compensation beforehand. It shows a complete disregard for the customers by not completing SOME kind of repair, even a shoddy one, before allowing the room to be rented. The replacement door was on order for three months? What on earth were they doing during that time? More importantly, the fact is that we received absolutely no notification ahead of time, or even at check in, that the room lacked a functional bathroom door. Obviously, we would have asked for a different room. Truthfully, though, we may very well have accepted the room anyway if an explanation, an apology and some offer of compensation (10%? 15% discount?) had been offered before or at check in. We received none of those things, even after notifying the front desk. Instead, we were met with excuses: 1) yes we're aware of that already (oh yeah?? Thanks for sharing that info ahead of time!!) 2) you were assigned that room because the reservation was for a single person and we thought you wouldn't mind (complete BS, the printed receipt clearly stated two adults, and how is that okay anyway??) 3) we didn't call you earlier because of training issues (sounds more like management issues!!) If this room cost 40 bucks, I wouldn't be complaining. For 40 dollars, I would expect a complete disaster. However, this was $150. Sure, it's no Four Seasons, but I'd expect a basic level of functionality and customer service at that rate. The room was pretty clean and comfortable otherwise. Shame that the experience was ruined by one god-awful manager not doing her damn job. Bonus: we received a call alerting us that the room below complained about our footsteps. Is the entire motel made out of cardboard?? Can one not even walk about the room and get ready for bed without disturbing someone below?? Good grief. read more

Don't waste your money! I wish I could give zero stars. I paid extra for a room with 2 queen beds. There's a desk with one straight back chair and no sitting area... no coffee maker... or clock... or toiletries... or hair dryer... or iron... or do not disturb sign... or privacy sheers (really? on the first floor nonetheless). The room is too small for more than one bed. They advertise that it accommodates 4 people, which is comical. The day time front desk person hangs out in the break room so you have to ring for service. I asked for a second chair and I had to carry it to my room myself. We could have stayed at Super 8 or Comfort Inn for about the same price. If you say anything about your basic dissatifaction to the person who checked us in, she doesn't bother to respond at all. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep, this works. The bedrooms are clean ish. And the beds aren't terrible. If you want extra pillows, you will have to go get them yourself, from the maid wherever she may be. They have completely disconnected the room service calling on the phone in the rooms. The walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear EVERYTHING. So you will be able to here the kids screaming next door at 7 am and also the couple getting it on at 3 am pounding on the wall. There is no shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms. Over all I hope I never stay in one of there hotels again. But it got the job done. read more

Terrible experience!!! Don't chose this location you will get scammed. I reserved a room one week prior and called in advance if our room was ready and in response "yes". We got there and the room wasn't ready at least an hour from finish. We didn't have time to waste. We tried to get money back but they "couldn't do that" because all the managers were in a meeting. Since we didn't have to sit around we left and attempted to reclaim our money but they couldn't do that. Overall our experience was terrible. Let me make it very clear THIS ISN'T THE STAFFS FAULT! Was told they would come clean our room on second day due to short staffing per front desk night time staff. On the second day of no towels and working outside all day, came down and asked for clean towels and was told they had none and housecleaning didn't come again. I asked for anything clean we could shower with or if she (same night time person) could check the dryer. She finally went into the back room calling me a b**** on her way out and as she came in I saw a stack of towels on the counter, when I asked for one of them she became angry and told me she hoped I drown in the shower. She then proceeded to tell me she was calling the police on me because she brought me one towel for 3people and I asked for two more. I cannot believe the front desk help at Motel 6 in Redmond Oregon. My room key quit working and I went to have the front desk recode my room key and the lady was very rude about it. She wanted my ID before she would recode the room key. When we checked in I tried to give the gal my ID she said she didn't need it and now they don't want to let me back in my room without my ID. Two of us checked in we could only have one room key. This doesn't make much sense. The beds are on metal frames and the maid knocked and I caught my little toe on it because there's no padding on the frame leg and so I now have a very broken toe. The coffee tastes like it was left on a burner to long no cream or sugar. Half the vending machines don't work or are sold out, the rooms smell bad ,stale cigarettes and dirty feet. I'm very disappointed. My advice spend a little more and have a comfortable clean Hassel free stay. read more

Beware! A previous occupant pulled a Keith Moon and punched a giant hole through the bathroom door. [Read in folksy Tom Bodett voice]: It would have been nice to warn us about that, we would have asked for another room before we went all the way up to the third floor and all the way to the end of the hallway. We were exhausted from a long day hiking at Crater Lake, we got there at midnight, and we didn't feel like trudging back down to the desk to watch them fumble for yet another 10-15 minutes to figure out how their computer works to get us a different room. It's beyond belief they put people in that room and then charge $150, no discount for the holey door and no warning. We were told "Oh, we put you in that room because it was for a single person." Not true. We booked it as 2 adults, and the receipt they gave us said 2 adults. Also, do they think it's acceptable to fail to warn about it if it's only one person? They said the door was on order and would take 3 months to arrive. Is there such a shortage of doors in Redmond, OR that one cannot be found at a local hardware store? Couldn't they at least cover the hole with some cardboard and duck tape? Or is it that they are required to have special order doors that someone can punch a hole through. (Good to know: if you have an intruder in your Motel 6 room, do not seek refuge in the bathroom. On the other hand, if an intruder confines you to the bathroom you can easily punch an exit right through the door.) In the morning when we complained, the manager blamed her staff, saying it was a "training issue," which is but one sign of poor management skills since she is ultimately responsible for her staff's training. I told the manager they ought to put a little sign behind the desk reminding clerks about Room 326. She walks over to the back counter and pulls out a card that says "Room 326 has a hole in the bathroom door." I was just completely stupefied by that that I couldn't respond. Now I wish I'd thought quickly enough to take a photo of that card. It took us a good 15 minutes of patiently and politely explaining that this was unacceptable before she finally offered a 15% discount, but we'll not hold our breath waiting to receive it because she said, "I have to call Expedia's help desk to do that." We will write a polite but firm letter to Motel 6 corporate and hope to get some sort of compensation for the remarkably inept management. In the meantime, stay away. Stay far away. If it was a $50 hotel, I'd cut them some slack, but $150? I don't expect the Park Lane Hotel, but it would be nice to be able to have a certain level of privacy while using the bathroom that doesn't necessitate hanging a towel over a giant hole in the door. (Oh, and five minutes after we spoke to them about the door they called back saying the people below were complaining that they could hear our footsteps. Both of us weigh less than 170 pounds and weren't exactly stomping our feet, so be careful to walk lightly because it's possible that the floors at a Motel 6 could be as flimsy as the doors.) As Mr Bodett says, "We'll leave the light on for you." But just hope that light isn't one that can be seen through the bathroom door. read more

This is a fancy high rise Motel 6 with inside doors! They even have an elevator. This is a really nice budget motel, with clean rooms, a whirlpool, and it sits back off the highway a little ways which keeps the noise down. I sleep like a baby here. The mattresses suck. The bath tubs are a weird triangle shape. There is no in room coffee, alarm clocks, or continental breakfast. The coffee they provide in the mornings is worse than day old gas station coffee and their creamer is some cheap stuff from the dollar store. The maids didn't clean my room or change my sheets one day. The lobby and ground floor smelled like a pot farm. The room and hotel were clean, but expect no frills and bring everything you need. They don't provide shampoo, alarm clock or hair dryers. They do have refrigerators, cable tv, air conditioning, and good wifi. It's not close to the road so you don't really hear the traffic. The rooms are not very quiet - easy to hear guests above you, next to you, and in the hall. I'm not sure if smoking rooms are available but stench of Marijuana was wafting down the hall. I told the front desk upon check in, as I always do, that we have a small trailer that would only take one space and was told it was ok. This is the first time in traveling with the trailer we were told to move it. We asked if we could move the car instead, because the trailer is already secured for the night. As a retired disabled veteran I feel completely insulted that she could not take the time to process a military discount for me and my family. If I could rate it a 0 I would I 100% do not recommend motel 6 in Redmond to anyone as others have said they don't have the do not disturb signs and for some reason they do believe they can come in whenever they want. The room wasn't even ready for us when we had checked in @4,, and about 10-15 minutes after we got up to the room they had sent someone up to "sync the controller" which wasn't even in the room to the tv. But I didn't see him sync it at all seemed he only needed to bring the controller and honestly think it was an excuse to come in the room to scope out our stuff. We then left for around 30 minutes and came back to the chair moved under the fire alarm which before we had left was out of batteries and going off periodically. My things had also noticeably been gone thru and actually ended up finding out some of my boyfriend and I's things were missing. This isn't the first time I've had a horrible experience here either but definitely will be my last. In the past the staff have been rude as f**k for no reason one time one of the front desk ladies wouldn't let my cousin use the bathroom without an ID which is supposedly a new rule due to so many overdoses in the bathroom she was a minor at the time so she didn't carry one around obviously. They also have horrible housekeepers which are all so rude, intrusive, thief's, and horrible cleaners things are always dusty or just dirty still in general when I stay here. This actually isn't even the first time I suspected someone went thru my stuff while staying here either and not the first time something of mine has went missing while staying here last time I kept calling for months getting the run around then told to stop calling even tho the first lady I talked to had said they had found my bag. Stayed there on May 30th. Rooms were clean, beds were clean, carpet was clean, bathroom was clean, towels were almost new and were not bleached dead. Yes no frills as other guest described but you don't go there expecting much. What is important is a nice clean place to sleep and this Motel 6 met that expectation. read more
