Check in was smooth and they even have someone drive you to the rooms and explain all the ins and outs. We stayed in the bungalows, which come with breakfast in the morning and a private golf buggy. The room is gorgeous and fitted with pretty much anything you need. There's a sunk in living room, with a giant L shaped couch. 2 massive TV's with chrome cast. Heated flooring in the bathroom. Private hottube outside. The breakfast is good, but nothing to write home about. Fresh pastries, fruit, and yogurt. It does get delivered to the door, which is a nice touch. The buggy is also really handy as the resort is pretty massive, so although getting around on foot is certainly possible, the cart makes it a lot easier. As for amenities, there's more than what we could even do. Family pools, adult-only pools, archery, horseback riding? and much more. The fitness facility is also surprisingly well stocked, with barbells, dumbbells, and cable machines.

Excellent food and drinks at Wild Rye.

It was at the tail end of winter, with cold nights and wet days. Rooms have gas fireplaces, with outdoor seating and porches for warmer weather. Checkin was great in the main lodge. They had many friendly employees. There's a bar and restaurant here that I didn't have time to visit! The grounds have paved trails all over, with quick walks or bike rides to restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities. They have a free shuttle that can get you around to places quicker too! My room was gorgeous, with high ceilings, wood, and soft decor. The bathroom was very modern and comfortable. Worth the cost. Another place I really wanted to visit was the indoor heated pool area that looked amazing. Maybe next time! For the event we had catered amazing meals of local produce and meats, so many flavorful items. The event spaces all have a lodge feel to them as well, comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a few days if you're in the area.

Oh, the approach alone is a symphony of splendor! As you glide through those graceful roundabouts, a charming little waterfall greets you like an old friend, ushering you into a world of manicured elegance stately homes, emerald golf courses flanking both sides, and the majestic silhouette of Mount Bachelor reigning supreme in the background like a crowned monarch. Deer, elk, and geese roam freely amid the whispering pines, while the vast, azure sky paints the most breathtaking ambiance imaginable. Champagne skies, my dears pure, unadulterated magic! And then, the pièce de résistance: our exquisite accommodations perched on the front lawn, where vaulted ceilings soar to heavenly heights and luxurious tilework graces the bathroom like a private spa. The bed? A cloud of divine indulgence you simply melt into its plush embrace, feeling as if you've stepped aboard the most opulent cruise ship imaginable. Step onto the deck, and the views transport you to paradise itself. The amenities? Simply divine! Soothing hot tubs bubbling under the stars, sparkling pools that beckon for a dip, winding trails that invite leisurely strolls through postcard-perfect scenery this place is straight out of a collector's edition postage stamp, alive and vibrant! We arrived amid melting snow and enjoyed glorious skiing on nearby slopes, but imagine the summer symphony of championship golf or the winter wonderland transformation into a snowy fantasia. Every season here is a masterpiece. Was it crowded? Perhaps in peak times one might hunt for the perfect lounge chair, but honestly, who cares when the entire experience is this over-the-top extraordinary? This is no mere resort it's a sanctuary of unparalleled beauty and refinement. Sunriver Resort isn't just a destination; it's a lifestyle upgrade. I give it five glittering stars and then some. We returned to Eagle Crest on an Interval International exchange using our Kona Coast Resort unit…read more Eagle Crest is a large project and it's a little confusing about which projects are managed by what company, so I am specifically reviewing the Worldmark Resort property and should not be applied to any other hotels or resorts at Eagle Crest. We have stayed at several Worldmark properties in the past, and this is our definite favorite. First off we were able to fly directly into Redmond from SFO, avoiding a two drive from Portland as that's how we came last time. The airport is small but that's a plus as far as we were concerned, and our Costco rental car from Budget was fine. Our check in was easy and Kiyah was a great rep for Worldmark. We got a text from her a few minutes after we were in the unit asking how things were, and that was a nice touch. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. We own two vacation rentals and live in Kona and are appreciative of a job well done. Everything was immaculate, and it seemed like it had been recently updated. I had called the week before, asking for a unit on the Deschutes river side, and we happily had an end unit with a great view. The gal I spoke with was friendly and let me know that checkin had moved so I had a google map address which made it easy to find. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and more. The dishwasher was the only appliance that needs retirement lol. The bedroom with attached bath and a work desk was excellent. It was relaxing to take a long hot bath in a huge tub after a long flight. We used the Weber grill on the patio three times during the week we were there. The Sisters meat market in Redmond is well worth a visit. One word of warning for people that have problems with stairs: this is a multi floor unit. You enter at one level and go down a flight of stairs to the living room and kitchen and one bedroom with two twins. From the entry you go up a flight to the main bedroom with huge bath/shower and king bed. So there are lots of stairs if you are going up and down from the living room (which is so cozy with the gas fireplace) up to the main bedroom. I'd find someplace else that had less stairs if that's a criteria. I'm typing this as I use the fast 500 mbps (ookala speedtest) internet and we are streaming from our ipad all of our regular addictions. My one complaint, and it is a major one, is the horrible cheap mattresses. There were far too firm, and terrible for both of our backs, resulting in back and neck aches. Perhaps they'd sourced them from a cheap manufacturer, but saving money on mattresses is foolish especially these days when you are judged on how comfortable a nights sleep is. We managed to survive by taking the comforters from the twins and placing them across the king mattress where our hips and shoulders were aching and then got a couple more blankets from housekeeping. It helped, but not enough. We fortunately were staying in an airbnb the following week with a fantastic mattress and the contrast was stunning. I complained about this on our last visit, hopefully with the management change that happened in the summer they will allocate funds to refresh a crucial part of the guest experience, a restful nights sleep. Again, this is a Worldmark exchange and should not be confused with any other property at Eagle Crest. Interval International exchanges have different rules and costs and things like internet access are included. Your experience without being an II member or Worldmark owner may be very different. We exchanged a week in a beautiful timeshare in Kona to stay here and were quite happy. For us, this is one of our favorites and we will definitely be back. Mahalo.

We were here in the middle of the week and were fortunate to have the entire grounds to ourselves. I found the hikes and trails super easy and well-groomed. We just stayed in and cooked. Darren, our host, was friendly and kind. Zia, our yoga teacher, led a dynamic yoga session and was a delight to talk to. Best of all, we got to sleep in a comforble tent under the stars. We got to see constellations and shooting stars! We could hear coyotes in the distance. Duriing the day, we saw a family of deer on our hikes. Definitely bring flashlights, sunblock, bug spray and a good book, if you plan to visit.
