Don't miss Bangers and Brews for a casual meal! 5 stars on Yelp. And Zydeco for a more formal dinner (closed for lunch on the weekend). This was our 2nd stay at this amazing bnb. Already made a reservation for 4 nights again next year! Hands down, our favorite bed and breakfast! And we have been to many countrywide. Pegi is the perfect hostess. Very respectful of our privacy...yet kind and loving. Our beatiful, sweet dog, Abby, died suddenly while we were staying here. Pegi was so sensitive to that. She gave heartfelt hugs to my wife and gave some very kind words of comfort. We so appreciated that. The gourmet breakfasts are to die for. Seriously. She has a binder with pictures and descriptions of each dish. Maybe 10 different starters...as well as about 10 main dishes. You can choose your favorites. Cooked to order. Yum! We feel so spoiled! The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. I loved the "babbling brook" that fed a small pond. I had book in hand, and enjoyed several hours of relaxing to the sound of the water. So peaceful. The rooms .... Perfect. The bed....so comfortable! But honestly, I spent most of the time outside on the deck, or by the stream relaxing.

First, check in was a breeze and they offer you a complimentary wine, beer, cider or soda upon arrival. I had a local Avid cider which was very tasty after a long drive. Second, the property is VERY clean. Plexiglas is up for the front desk staff, masks available at all entrances, and hand sanitizer bottles strategically placed. All guests and employees were wearing masks. A buffet breakfast is included. It is a decent free continental breakfast with one caveat: our son ate a coconut raspberry muffin that was hand-labeled "gluten free" and "vegan" which was a nice touch. However, this muffin had to contain nuts (almond flour?) because his nut allergy kicked in hard and we ended up taking him to the emergency room 5 minutes away. Obviously we are not blaming the hotel as his allergy is ultimately our responsibility, but when we asked the server if the muffin contained nuts she responded "I don't know." With so many people experiencing nut allergies these days you should know this answer especially if you are already labeling food as "gluten free", etc. why not go all of the way? Again, not going to blame them, but I do suggest that the hotel label their foods with nuts too. Other than the continental breakfast incident, we do recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I noticed…read morethey mentioned if you want an extra bed they can set one up and I opted not to request that because I expected it to be a sofa bed. When we arrived the extra bed was set up and it took over the whole living room which was a bummer. Then I stupidly slept on it the first night because it looked like a decent bed and I thought I'd let my mom have the king to herself but I woke up in absolute agony. Next night I slept on the king too and it was very comfortable. They should only have that bed set up on request because it's a terrible bed and should only be a last resort sleeping spot. Other than the horrible bed we had a very nice time.

You'll talk to Della on the phone and know right away if this will suit you too -- one of those fits just right, home away from home places that happens to be a custom-built log house (not cabin) that Della and her husband Vern created 20 years ago, with two comfy guest rooms and a table-groaning breakfast. Della's a straight-shooter, generous, a kick in the pants to be around, and tart commentator on the area. Makes a mean Snickerdoodle, too. We'd go back just to hang out with her and Vern anytime.

The log house was meticulously taken care of and the views from the deck of the Sisters range is grand. While I was relaxing on the deck there were probably five different species of birds that sailed in to nibble at the birdseed. The juniper forest that surrounds the house smell heavenly. Della is a wonderful cook and has lots of suggestions for Bend activities. I will return.

The company hosting the seminar covered the cost of our room, so we did not pay for it. The property itself is large and sprawls on either side of the river. We stayed on the second level, with a balcony overlooking the river, which was really nice! The hotel is from the 1970's, but it seemed nicely maintained and the room was very clean. Amenities I appreciated were the dual bathroom vanities, comfy chair, refrigerator, and USB charging ports on the wall. The room itself was generously sized. The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure in the shower was fine (not terrible, but not amazing). One thing I really missed having in the room was a microwave to reheat leftovers or coffee...I was surprised by the absence of this common amenity. As stated earlier, we didn't pay for this room. I looked up pricing, and the base rate seemed relatively reasonable. However, they tack on a 19% "amenity fee" that raises the rate quite a bit, along with the usual transient taxes by state and local governments. Even though I found our stay here to be enjoyable, I don't think I'd pay the rate they're charging overall for that same room. Although the river view was nice, I think I'd skip it and save some money. If their rates are acceptable to you and you value a riverside view, it's absolutely a nice hotel to stay at. All of the staff we encountered were very kind, too. I can't really say anything negative about our experience here! I would have given it a five star review, but I find the final room rate to be too expensive and having a microwave would have been appreciated.

The front desk staff was really nice. I also enjoyed the hot coffee in the AM and the breakfast served. The worker who was organizing everything was very nice. She used to live in San Diego then moved to Bend. She chatted with us a bit as she was setting up. If you're in the area and looking for a hotel, this hotel is clean and easy access to eatery spot/drinking across the street.

Our expectation was that we would owe nothing for this stay however, when we checked our bill after we left we saw that they had charged our card for a $20 parking fee. Seriously Marriott!? You charge for parking in a motel parking lot? This just made us angry. This isn't a resort or a hotel in downtown Manhattan. It's a motel for Pete's sake! This is pretty greedy Marriott.

The room was very comfortable. The hotel has 3 floors and only one elevator, so sometimes we had to wait to get to and from our room. The lobby was nice and cozy. There is a fireplace and a small convenience store where you could get complimentary house coffee and iced water. They also had a container filled with dog treats and leashes. I also saw a few bikes outside that could be rented daily. The pool and hot tub were inside for year-round enjoyment, and the gym was perfect for a light workout. All the equipment worked and it was new and clean. The restaurant was definitely a hidden gem for breakfast. The woman who cooked the food on the weekday mornings was awesome. She sang while she cooked, and her food was that good. I ate way more than I wanted because it all looked great and was very fresh. Well worth the $14.00, or $4.00 if you had a voucher. Every morning, the selection was just a little different. The parking was good and you must put the plaquar in your window because if there is an event going on at the amphitheater, they will tow cars from the lot. The location is great for walking along the Deschutes River or doing a little eating or shopping in the Old Mill District. It is also a short walk to downtown Bend for other sightseeing.

My other complaint would be the fact that they didn't say anything ahead of time about the pool and spa being out of order, not listed on the site, not listed in the email not listed in anything. They did have a sign saying that you could go to one of their sister properties and use their Facilities, but the one with the hot tub was nowhere even near this location. You would have to drive to it. Hotel itself was clean, and they had the toothpaste I forgot to pack... but the beds truly are extremely awful. My other complaint would be just how loud the HVAC system was. Every time the AC kicked on it woke me up.
