I didn't realize this was a recurring theme until I saw the other reviews here! It's a little disappointing. Dinner at the fancy restaurant was not good. We ordered the pork and the halibut. Both were dry-, like they'd been cooked off site. Room was good enough, carpet was dirty and stained but we stayed at a pet friendly room so that may be it.

Check in was smooth and they even have someone drive you to the rooms and explain all the ins and outs. We stayed in the bungalows, which come with breakfast in the morning and a private golf buggy. The room is gorgeous and fitted with pretty much anything you need. There's a sunk in living room, with a giant L shaped couch. 2 massive TV's with chrome cast. Heated flooring in the bathroom. Private hottube outside. The breakfast is good, but nothing to write home about. Fresh pastries, fruit, and yogurt. It does get delivered to the door, which is a nice touch. The buggy is also really handy as the resort is pretty massive, so although getting around on foot is certainly possible, the cart makes it a lot easier. As for amenities, there's more than what we could even do. Family pools, adult-only pools, archery, horseback riding? and much more. The fitness facility is also surprisingly well stocked, with barbells, dumbbells, and cable machines.

And you're really close to an amazing view of the Three Sisters Mountains. The rooms are comfy, open, and spacious. I opted for the Deluxe King Suite with Kitchenette and loved it. The bed was very comfortable, and I felt right at home here. I even saw some deer hanging out next to the property, which I see often at home. This property also has a courtyard area with a fire pit, hot tub, and cold tub. My air-conditioned room had 2 TVs, one for each room, which was nice. The free, Wi-Fi was also nice, but the extra touch was the various cables they had in the room--great for people who forget to bring that one thing they really needed. I would definitely stay in this establishment again.

Steve came out and met us in the back yard with a cute couple of pups, and our dog had such a good time playing that I think he thought it was the best vacation ever. It's off in a neighborhood, so you feel like you're getting a real feel for what it is like to live in the area. There were two bathrooms, one with a claw foot tub, and I had an excellent bath. The other bath had an amazing walk in shower. I fell in love with the creative, and thoughtful design of the spaces and Steve was generous with his time and showed me another space in the triplex. Such creative design, it was just fun to hang out in the house. Bend is surrounded by incredible natural beauty, so we went hiking every day. The hot tub at the end of the day was perfect. The kitchen is set up fully so, it would be easy to cook though we didn't since Bend is filled with great restaurants. Both Alex and Steve are great hosts. Already made a reservation for 4 nights again next year! Hands down, our favorite bed and breakfast! And we have been to many countrywide. Pegi is the perfect hostess. Very respectful of our privacy...yet kind and loving. Our beatiful, sweet dog, Abby, died suddenly while we were staying here. Pegi was so sensitive to that. She gave heartfelt hugs to my wife and gave some very kind words of comfort. We so appreciated that. The gourmet breakfasts are to die for. Seriously. She has a binder with pictures and descriptions of each dish. Maybe 10 different starters...as well as about 10 main dishes. You can choose your favorites. Cooked to order. Yum! We feel so spoiled! The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. I loved the "babbling brook" that fed a small pond. I had book in hand, and enjoyed several hours of relaxing to the sound of the water. So peaceful. The rooms .... Perfect. The bed....so comfortable! But honestly, I spent most of the time outside on the deck, or by the stream relaxing.

Even though it was only 51 to 57 degrees outside this weekend, it was 73 degrees in the room the entire trip (unless I opened the windows) and then had to deal with cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Got two rough nights of sleep. No chair in the room to sit on, so your only seating is the bed. Shower is extremely tiny and the head sprays straight down. Can't really angle it toward your body so I couldn't get clean in all the private places. Nice people running the property and it is easy to park. If you sleep warm and/or are specific with your climate needs I would not recommend it. I can't even imagine how warm the room is when it's 80+ degrees outside in the heart of summer. My room was the upstairs unit. Maybe the first floor is cooler, not sure. But mine was miserable and I couldn't get comfortable to sleep. I felt no air coming out of the vent. The fans didn't help. It was either cool with loud sounds all night, or super hot and quiet. Too much street noise all day except from around 11pm-7am daily. Next time I'll stay at an actual hotel with independent thermostats.

We checked into the Waypoint Hotel on a Saturday evening, and what happened at the front desk was…read morehonestly unbelievable. I had a confirmed reservation and gave the front desk employee my name. She couldn't find the reservation, so she asked whether it might be under a different name. I told her no, and after she and her coworker looked into it, they discovered that my reservation had been given to another guest. The other guest (let's call her Jane Doe) had been checked into the room that was reserved under my name and my credit card. She had provided her own ID and credit card, so I genuinely don't understand how the employees managed to assign her a room using my reservation in the first place. This is more than just a simple check-in mistake. If that guest had damaged the room, incurred charges, or otherwise caused an issue, those charges could potentially have been associated with my reservation and payment information. That's a pretty serious failure in handling a guest's reservation and financial information. The employees realized their mistake and had to call Jane Doe down from her room to the lobby to straighten everything out. Thankfully, she was actually in her room, and thankfully both of us remained calm and understanding about the situation. But here's what really bothered me: not once did either employee apologize to me or to Jane Doe. Not even a simple, "We're so sorry, we made a mistake." Nothing. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But when you make a mistake this significant--giving someone else a room under another guest's reservation and credit card--the bare minimum is to take responsibility, acknowledge the seriousness of the mistake, and apologize. Instead, we were left standing there while they fixed a problem that they had created, with absolutely no apology or acknowledgment. I expected much better from a hotel. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable trusting this hotel with my reservation or payment information again.
