Five stars doesn't really seem like enough for our experience with SCP Redmond Hotel…read more Our family held a gathering at SCP following my mother-in-law's funeral, and from beginning to end, everything exceeded our expectations. The venue was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the banquet staff and service were exceptional. But what truly set the experience apart was Kym. Two members of our family first walked into SCP the day after losing their mom, simply exploring whether it might be the right place for our family gathering. From that very first meeting, Kym met them exactly where they were emotionally, with a level of kindness, compassion, and understanding that went far beyond her role as an event coordinator. From that first meeting through the final moments of our gathering, Kym handled every detail with genuine care. She took something that could have felt overwhelming during an incredibly difficult week and made it easy for our family. We were able to simply be together, remember someone we loved dearly, share stories, laugh, cry, eat some great food, and not worry about anything else. You can provide a beautiful room. You can serve great food. You can deliver excellent service. SCP did all three. But you can't train someone to care the way Kym cared for our family. We will never forget what she and the entire SCP Redmond team did for us. There will always be a special connection to this place because of how we were treated during one of the most difficult weeks our family has experienced. From our entire family...thank you, Kym, and thank you SCP Redmond. We are deeply grateful.

Seems to be staff walking around but they k not sure what they are doing. I haven't been told what's wrong with the room. As I wait someone just walked in and got their key. Finally got to the room and can't imagine what the problem is. Room was okay but I probably won't be back

We returned to Eagle Crest on an Interval International exchange using our Kona Coast Resort unit…read more Eagle Crest is a large project and it's a little confusing about which projects are managed by what company, so I am specifically reviewing the Worldmark Resort property and should not be applied to any other hotels or resorts at Eagle Crest. We have stayed at several Worldmark properties in the past, and this is our definite favorite. First off we were able to fly directly into Redmond from SFO, avoiding a two drive from Portland as that's how we came last time. The airport is small but that's a plus as far as we were concerned, and our Costco rental car from Budget was fine. Our check in was easy and Kiyah was a great rep for Worldmark. We got a text from her a few minutes after we were in the unit asking how things were, and that was a nice touch. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. We own two vacation rentals and live in Kona and are appreciative of a job well done. Everything was immaculate, and it seemed like it had been recently updated. I had called the week before, asking for a unit on the Deschutes river side, and we happily had an end unit with a great view. The gal I spoke with was friendly and let me know that checkin had moved so I had a google map address which made it easy to find. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and more. The dishwasher was the only appliance that needs retirement lol. The bedroom with attached bath and a work desk was excellent. It was relaxing to take a long hot bath in a huge tub after a long flight. We used the Weber grill on the patio three times during the week we were there. The Sisters meat market in Redmond is well worth a visit. One word of warning for people that have problems with stairs: this is a multi floor unit. You enter at one level and go down a flight of stairs to the living room and kitchen and one bedroom with two twins. From the entry you go up a flight to the main bedroom with huge bath/shower and king bed. So there are lots of stairs if you are going up and down from the living room (which is so cozy with the gas fireplace) up to the main bedroom. I'd find someplace else that had less stairs if that's a criteria. I'm typing this as I use the fast 500 mbps (ookala speedtest) internet and we are streaming from our ipad all of our regular addictions. My one complaint, and it is a major one, is the horrible cheap mattresses. There were far too firm, and terrible for both of our backs, resulting in back and neck aches. Perhaps they'd sourced them from a cheap manufacturer, but saving money on mattresses is foolish especially these days when you are judged on how comfortable a nights sleep is. We managed to survive by taking the comforters from the twins and placing them across the king mattress where our hips and shoulders were aching and then got a couple more blankets from housekeeping. It helped, but not enough. We fortunately were staying in an airbnb the following week with a fantastic mattress and the contrast was stunning. I complained about this on our last visit, hopefully with the management change that happened in the summer they will allocate funds to refresh a crucial part of the guest experience, a restful nights sleep. Again, this is a Worldmark exchange and should not be confused with any other property at Eagle Crest. Interval International exchanges have different rules and costs and things like internet access are included. Your experience without being an II member or Worldmark owner may be very different. We exchanged a week in a beautiful timeshare in Kona to stay here and were quite happy. For us, this is one of our favorites and we will definitely be back. Mahalo.

We got a king size bed with a view of the mountain and it was well worth it. We ended up using our credit card points so we only had to cover the food and travel to here. The pool was large and there were very few guests to join us but it was loud. A majority of the time spent here on our second day, from about 11AM to 3PM Tlandscapers were working on the area directly adjacent to the pool. Pebbles kept flying up and hitting the metal fencing near me. The only thing that makes this a 4 out of 5 is the overall set up. At almost all resorts I've ever been to there is an outside bar, not here however. We'd love to come back and I'd like to get a round of golf in!

There were guests that were rudely blasting their music by the main pool. That pool also seemed to be full of insects and random dust and plants that had been swept by the wind from the nearby fields. The doors to the main entrance closed shut on my suitcase as I was leaving. It seemed that someone had pressed the button to open them both, and after a while they close automatically. The fact that there are no sensors to detect if someone is still standing between them, is negligent.

I didn't realize this was a recurring theme until I saw the other reviews here! It's a little disappointing. Dinner at the fancy restaurant was not good. We ordered the pork and the halibut. Both were dry-, like they'd been cooked off site. Room was good enough, carpet was dirty and stained but we stayed at a pet friendly room so that may be it.

Check in was smooth and they even have someone drive you to the rooms and explain all the ins and outs. We stayed in the bungalows, which come with breakfast in the morning and a private golf buggy. The room is gorgeous and fitted with pretty much anything you need. There's a sunk in living room, with a giant L shaped couch. 2 massive TV's with chrome cast. Heated flooring in the bathroom. Private hottube outside. The breakfast is good, but nothing to write home about. Fresh pastries, fruit, and yogurt. It does get delivered to the door, which is a nice touch. The buggy is also really handy as the resort is pretty massive, so although getting around on foot is certainly possible, the cart makes it a lot easier. As for amenities, there's more than what we could even do. Family pools, adult-only pools, archery, horseback riding? and much more. The fitness facility is also surprisingly well stocked, with barbells, dumbbells, and cable machines.

I stay at hotels mainly for work so I typically just keep with the big names so I can keep a MVP status for perks like early or late check-in / out. I'm closing in on one of the lifetime MVP statuses and hotels were sold out in Redmond, so I booked a room here as BH was almost $100 more. This is a very basic hotel. I will say service is very friendly here and the breakfast is above average. The only morning I was here, they served pork sausage links, house potatoes, tortillas, salsa, cheese and scrambled eggs. The difference is that the eggs here are real vs the weirdly wet and tasteless reconstituted stuff they serve at the big chains. A couple made 2 extra pancakes and didn't want to waste them, so I took them. Kind of tough but good flavor. They also have cereal + milk, yogurt, toast, bagels, Otis Spunkmeyer wrapped muffins and hard-boiled eggs if you're on the run. The rooms are solid but basic. I got a good night's sleep on the king bed. I made use of the microwave for some pasta and kept my chicken from Oliver Lemon in the mini fridge for road snacks. However, if you have a lot of technology, the work desk has no power other than the wall outlet and neither the bed nor the work desk has any USB for your devices. Bring adapters! The other factor that kept my review modest was the big one. The wifi was free but very weak. My devices kept disconnecting and doing anything including just updating my browser required patience. If this place makes sense for my budget I'd stay here again, but I think I'll just keep trying different hotels in the area just to see what's there outside the world of Hilton and Marriott.

It definitely knocked a meal out during our trip to the Bend area and that was nice. There is also a pool and a jacuzzi here. We thought the pool water was too cold so we didn't pursue swimming in it much. The jacuzzi however was nice and relaxing and helped us unwind after being on the road. Probably the best thing here is we didn't hear a peep from any of the other guests. No screaming kids, people crying, furniture being moved in the middle of the night or tarot readings... all experiences we have had to endure while staying in hotels in the past and therefore keeping us awake. That was not the case at all here with any of that. We slept very soundly and solidly which was a wonderful thing as in addition to people being too noisy we sometimes simply can't sleep because it's involving a strange bed. But not the night we stayed here. The unfamiliar bed issue wasn't a problem at all.

Greens are somewhat fast but consistent. There are plenty of places to employ your green-reading skills and it pays to pitch your ball to the correct location. Fairways are similarly is great condition. I saw few places where you'd have a bad lie with a good fairway shot. The second cut of rough is really rough here - it's basically a lava field. Do not miss the fairway. The first cut, however, is very playable. In fact, I think I'd prefer the first cut over the fairway proper for short pitches and chips. I understand this is a winter phenomenon (playable rough) and when spring sets in and the grass grows out, you won't want to be in the first cut, either. Update: no, the course condition in the summer (last round was over 100 degrees) is still great and the first cut is a fine place to land your ball. Bunkers in good shape with good sand. If you know how to execute a bunker shot, you'll have little problem here. As with any bunker, if it has rained or snow has melted, the sand plays different. There are some fairway bunkers. Water is not a big factor at Juniper. There are a couple of holes on the back nine where it comes into play but even then, easy to avoid. No water carries here.
