Central Oregon Rentals is A+++. We rented five sleds for the Saturday between Christmas and New Years. The sleds were loaded into a five-place enclosed trailer and ready to go when we arrived at the shop. Michael the owner gave us a thorough run down of the trail systems (I've ridden in Minnesota a lot, but first time in Oregon), a walk through of the sleds, and other general tips. They also had a complete lineup of decent rental equipment, although renting isn't ever has good as having your own gear that you're used to. All of the sleds were quality Ski-Doo long tracks. We had two 850's that rocked the trails and the powder, two 600's for the less experienced riders, and one 900 two-up. Unloading and loading was easy, and it was a short 25 minute drive to the snow park. Great rental experience - would definitely rent again from Central Oregon Rentals. Thoughts about the Deschutes trail system around Mt. Bachelor: 1. We rode on what had to have been one of the busiest days of the year - bad planning on our part. By the time we got to the Wanoga sno-park the parking lot was full, but it really wasn't full: they could have fit at least 1/3 more rigs if folks would learn how to park. There was literally 10' between some rigs. We ended up parking along one of the roadways inside the snow park which worked. If you could beat the mountain traffic and make it higher up it would be better. See #2 below. 2. The trails leading up to the Mt. Bachelor - especially Trail 5 - were AWFUL. So many riders chewing it up, even though they were groomed the night before. They were even worse coming back down. If you like going 10 mph max on washboards you'll love them. Once we got past the mountain, Trail 5 was better, but not great. 3. The 250 miles of the Mt. Bachelor trail system is beautiful, but TBH after riding Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP, the trail system around Mt. Bachelor isn't the place to go for hard core riding. We rode all day and maybe got 40 miles - in the upper Midwest we'd get at least 100 miles on a low day. This is partly due to the number of people and the trail conditions, but there just aren't the same miles of trails if you really like to ride. 4. The stop at the Elk Lake resort was great. Definitely worth they trip out there. Would we ride the Deschutes Trail System again? -Yes, and we would definitely rent from Central Oregon Rentals. -Yes, but on a weekday or during the shoulder season. Definitely NOT on a holiday weekend. -Yes, but explore starting at a different location. read more

Rented a small side by side for a birthday, and the morning of the reservation they called to let me know they had upgraded us to a 2022 can am, for no extra charge, and that we could come in earlier then the reservation time for the best time of the day. They provided a very nice trailer, and even a vehicle to tow it with, they were awesome at explaining all the details and how to operate the vehicle. Whatever fun toy you want to make your free time great, these guys have it. RVs, quads, jet skis, boats, or snowmobiles - you're covered. We came up to visit family and on a lark decided to spend an afternoon snowmobiling. After talking with another popular local company (that was only offering guided tours) we decided to rent 4 snowmobiles from Central Oregon Rentals instead because we wanted the freedom of doing our own thing, and towing the trailer was not an issue for us. The equipment was all first quality, late model performance gear (the kind of stuff you'd actually buy for yourself) and Michael was really helpful and accommodating in getting us set up and oriented to the gear. There was a great selection of good quality helmets and goggles to choose from and we were ready to roll within about 20 minutes after arriving. We drove about 40 minutes to Wanoga snow park and had a great day on the trails, having an absolute blast with the high-performance snowmobiles. If you have your own tow vehicle and don't mind towing the snowmobiles about 30 minutes to the snow, this is a great option for a day of snowmobiling! read more

Great experience here with the fellas at COR. I don't know what other places and prices are like in the area, but I was hooked up with a very nice machine (ski doo 600r) helmets, snow gear, park pass, etc... all for under $200 on a 5 hour rental. Went out, had a blast, returned the heat and went home. Seamless process, good people/equipment, fair prices. Looking forward to using them again. read more

Great place to get your adventure rentals in Bend, OR. Michael was very helpful throughout the rental process and he is good with suggestions too. With his help, we turned a failed snowmobile trip (because of weather) into a fun atv trip. Make sure your car has a hitch to pull the trailer or get a Uhaul rental with a hitch. read more

This was our second year renting from COR. Year 1 was fantastic. Year 2, not so much. One of two the machines we rented was in an accident the day before and apparently the company didn't do a good once over and just sent the machine our the next morning with us. From the second the run started the driver was having trouble, but didn't understand what was going on, until we all got back to base camp and the guys inspected the machine closely, seeing a blown axle in the rear, on the same side the accident was the night before. Now it made sense what the machine was doing and why the driver was struggling. We called COR, they asked us to not take it out again and offered a full refund. Frustrating that our plans were pretty much wrecked for her day, we only do this once a year, nevertheless, we understood. Fast forward to the machine return, they changed they story and said that since we rode it that one ride, which we told them we did, they now only offered a partial refund. Totally not ok. It was not our fault that the company did not do its due diligence the night before, knowing the machine had been in an accident and had pretty extensive visible damage to the front end. The rear axle was totally visible once you looked for it. As a former happy customer, we are totally disappointed with how this was handled and in the future will not rent again based on this experience. read more
