The sleds were loaded into a five-place enclosed trailer and ready to go when we arrived at the shop. Michael the owner gave us a thorough run down of the trail systems (I've ridden in Minnesota a lot, but first time in Oregon), a walk through of the sleds, and other general tips. They also had a complete lineup of decent rental equipment, although renting isn't ever has good as having your own gear that you're used to. All of the sleds were quality Ski-Doo long tracks. We had two 850's that rocked the trails and the powder, two 600's for the less experienced riders, and one 900 two-up. Unloading and loading was easy, and it was a short 25 minute drive to the snow park. Great rental experience - would definitely rent again from Central Oregon Rentals. Thoughts about the Deschutes trail system around Mt. Bachelor: 1. We rode on what had to have been one of the busiest days of the year - bad planning on our part. By the time we got to the Wanoga sno-park the parking lot was full, but it really wasn't full: they could have fit at least 1/3 more rigs if folks would learn how to park. There was literally 10' between some rigs. We ended up parking along one of the roadways inside the snow park which worked. If you could beat the mountain traffic and make it higher up it would be better. See #2 below. 2. The trails leading up to the Mt. Bachelor - especially Trail 5 - were AWFUL. So many riders chewing it up, even though they were groomed the night before. They were even worse coming back down. If you like going 10 mph max on washboards you'll love them. Once we got past the mountain, Trail 5 was better, but not great. 3. The 250 miles of the Mt. Bachelor trail system is beautiful, but TBH after riding Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP, the trail system around Mt. Bachelor isn't the place to go for hard core riding. We rode all day and maybe got 40 miles - in the upper Midwest we'd get at least 100 miles on a low day. This is partly due to the number of people and the trail conditions, but there just aren't the same miles of trails if you really like to ride. 4. The stop at the Elk Lake resort was great. Definitely worth they trip out there. Would we ride the Deschutes Trail System again? -Yes, and we would definitely rent from Central Oregon Rentals. -Yes, but on a weekday or during the shoulder season. Definitely NOT on a holiday weekend. -Yes, but explore starting at a different location.

Ryan first showed us a used Newmar New Aire that we really loved, but he didn't have one available at the time. He was still incredibly helpful and generous with his time. If we were purchasing again, we would absolutely go through him. Unfortunately, we ended up purchasing from the world's largest Newmar dealer in Florida, and the experience there was abysmal and expensive. We drove from Florida to Oregon (home) for a 6 week trip and took a couple small trips. After compiling a big list of necessary repairs, we returned to Beaver for service. That took about 5 months, though we weren't in a hurry and it seems they were very thorough. Nine months after initial purchase, we scheduled a paid walkthrough with their specialist, Aaron Pierce. That experience made a huge difference. Aaron took the time to walk us through details we didn't even realize we needed to know--things that would have made our earlier trips much easier and more enjoyable. Even when leaving, Aaron, Jaime, and Ryan all made sure we knew how to reach them if there were questions or issues. Arriving back at home, we had questions on AGS settings and Aaron has been very responsive via text messaging. Overall, Beaver Coach Sales has been helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to support us even when they didn't make the original sale. That says a lot about their team.

Having bought one in the past from another dealership, we really had an eye opening experience here that was vastly different than our first. Every single person that works at Beaver is very genuine, kind, friendly and helpful, they also are extremely knowledgeable. Just like any RV you have to take a couple days to work out the kinks that come along in the beginning which we had a couple but, the Beaver Coach dealership has the most onsite Newmar techs out of any other dealership. most only have 1. They have double digits. This made our experience and process even better. They know these rigs down to the smallest detail. (They also spec them better than any I've seen across the country). What you won't find at Beaver Coach are stuffy sales guys in suits where you are trying to figure out if they are being honest and treat you very much like "a customer". You will find that when you leave you will know over and over you made the very best decision. Everyone will know your name and you will rest easy that you will be taken care of for years to come. You will arrive as a customer but leave with friends. Beaver Coach staff have basically become like family friends at this point. We can't thank Beaver Coach enough for being honest, fair priced, and giving us such a great experience. Don't even bother going anywhere else if you are in the market. They only have two bathroom/shower buildings that are open 24 hours with two bathroom/shower units each. In the office area there are additional bathrooms/showers but you can only use them during office hours. The park is conveniently located to downtown and has food trucks Thursday thru Sunday. Staff is friendly and polite but unless they find a way deal with the live ins, it probably won't stay nice. People who live RV parks generally are not friendly to travelers which changes the experience of a vacation.

We headed from Bend to Cannon Beach and down the coast with no real agenda other then to chill and enjoy whatever town we decided to stop in. Just my wife and I and our dog. I cannot begin to explain the fun this was. Find your inner hippie and enjoy the beauty on the road. Although we thought it could get tough with no shower, rest assured, camp and rv sites have you covered there. 4 days was just enough, but we honestly could have gone a week. It was sad to say bye to our blue westy. You grow attached to her unique chill vibes. Throwing out peace signs to other VW's on the road. It's an experience. One you won't forget. Just rent her. We went snowshoeing during the day but could have gone downhill skiing at Hoodoo or visited Sisters just as easily. We stayed in a yurt, temps in the 20-30s, but our yurt was so warm and comfortable, not to mention spotless! You do need to bring all your own supplies for sleeping and cooking. Its like camping in a ginormous tent! So much room!! There is a microwave and minifridge, and we used our own portable propane campstove and bbq for cooking. There is no internet/wifi so at night we played games, read and danced (did I mention they are huge?). The public flush toilets and showers were also very clean and in great condition. A super fun, unique winter experience. We will for sure be back!!

The cabin had a bed, a table with two chairs, and a gas cook stove (which we did not use). It also had a thermostat-controlled gas fireplace which kept the place nice and warm. The place was pretty small, but adequate for our needs. The big downside was that the overhead light was a very harsh fluorescent light. There was also no porch light. The restrooms were pretty decent, although the TP in the women's bathroom was almost out by Sunday morning. There are plenty of moths, spiders, and other bugs in the bathrooms, which is unpleasant but to be expected. Nearly every single sign is in Comic Sans which makes it feel like the place is run by a bunch of college interns. The lake itself is very beautiful. I recommend doing the five-mile loop hike around it, or renting a boat.
