This has been a long time coming! We stayed at one of the rental properties on vacation last year! As I look at booking our next adventure this summer, I'm reminded that I wanted to write this review. We are definitely visiting Sunriver this summer again, and of course we are using Bennington Properties once more. From the initial easy to use website to book, to the amazing and spectacular customer service, the super clean houses and accommodations, all the great activities near and in Sunriver,and finally the value of what you pay, for what you get is incredibly affordable. You get what you pay for and if dinky cheap dirty motels is what you want, well then have at it. Bennington Properties though, the people that work there are outstanding! From the owner to the staff in the office, and those in the field, everyone we met and spoke with was absolutely amazing! Thank you for our wonderful stay last time and we'll see you soon!

That exploded while riding normally by a grown adult. No response on the fix.

Update- Robert corrected the issue and was very gracious in dealing with the situation. I can tell you now I will be giving these folks a 2nd chance. The customer service Approach after the failures was top notch and one of a kind. Thank you Robert!! :) Updated to 4 stars for now. Will update to 5 after our next stay if things go well! Pretty much a let down. I will say the house itself wasn't bad and had a nice location but it all started upon arrival, we had no WiFi. Granted WiFi isn't normally a critical element but with covid, no pools and limited activities for the kids it was needed. After discovering the bad router we reported it and they had us call in our own ticket to the cable company. Fail! They gave us a credit at the local toy shop for kayaks and whatnot, but after all I did 5 hours on the phone with the cable company. And we still didn't get internet for 2 more days. And the credit doesn't really matter when they were sold out of everything except a canoe. At that point Bennington lost me. But then one of our bikes pedals exploded. Tried to call in a ticket. No response. Texted for support, no response. Overall I rather pay more via vrbo or another Property management company to ensure it's all done right.

"My sister who owns a home in Brasada Resort, urged us to try one of your rentals as they have used you guys a lot in the past. We had high hopes after spending over 1k$ to rent 2 tournament Lane. I reached out to your team to ask about earlier check in due to having 2 kids being on a long road trip and possibly arriving an hour or so earlier then your required check in time. I was told that due to covid extensive cleaning and sanitization was taking place between each guest and for that reason only 30 would be given for early arrival.... upon arrival there was a small amount of snow and patches of ice near the front door stairs. My son slipped 2x on these patches of ice at the bottom of the stairs. We entered the house and immediately noticed the strong Oder of Animal Urine and an overall musty smell. Having been traveling a long time we were eager to get the kids fed and put to bed. Upon sitting on the floor in the living room we noticed our legs were itching. Upon further inspection I noticed tons of animal hair and grime in the carpet, couches, pillows, and just about every surface. We opened the windows, and went to bed. In the morning my husband left for a business meeting so the kids and I did not have a car which was the plan. We planned to stay at the house and play in the coming snow, and have a good time while my husband was working for the day. As the day light came on to the house I began to notice the general dirty ness of the house. I sent my sister pictures and she was really surprised and said the properties they had stayed at through your management company has been pretty clean. I had to cover the floors with blankets to be able to let my kids sit on the floor and be able to play. The first blanket Iaid out had white globs of something all over it. Being limited on blankets I flipped it over and used the other side. The other blankets had various holes and stains but had to use what was available. Upon further inspection I began to notice the depth of the filth. We had to be careful not to use the fans due to the extreme amounts of grime and dirt hanging on each blade. We had to be careful not to make the dirt and dust fall off of the ledge above the dishes in the kitchen. My husband noticed the dirt ha going over the edges. At one point my son wanted to try the big jacuzzi tub in the upstairs master room. Seemed somewhat safe to do. He sat in the tub as we filled it. He wanted it to be hotter so I turned up the hot water which turned out to be too hot so I turned on the cold water to get the temperature right, When the handle of the cold water fell off. So scalding hot water was shooting out of the faucet with no way to neutralize it. After pulling him out of the tub and finally jimmy rigging the handle back on we got the cold water to come out more, but the plug in the tub didn't work to hold the water inside so we ended the bath experience. My son was playing on the bed while I was changing my 6m baby's diaper also on the bed, When my son points out a hanging rod wrapped woth old tape dangling just above our heads. Obviously this is very dangerous and needs to be fixed. You really shouldn't let people sleep on a bed where a metal rod is barely hanging above where people sleep. After looking in the downstairs master we noticed the general filth of the room, cobwebs all over the walls and ceiling, animal urine and hair imbedded in the carpets and all over the walls and baseboards. The bathrooms are all filthy, the walls in the house are covered with splatters and grime. This is a long time of build up. We're appalled you would let anyone stay here. The entire time has been spent making sure my kids don't touch this or don't touch that for fear of getting the filth on them. The air filter downstairs is covered in dust and grime. This is false advertising and had you shown picture of the real state of the house we wouldn't dream of staying here. We're wanting a full refund. We won't even discuss anything else. Unfortunately we're stuck here for our stay. It would be absolutely unreasonable to even ask someone to move to another property or go outside while you clean? This is absolutely unbelievable that you would allow anyone to rent this place. I'm certain this isn't the first time you've heard this so why not take care of this before? Even after reaching out after we arrived we got an automated message stating you didn't get messages until the following day. We're going to have to wash everything we brought when we get home because it's saturated in urine smell......We've been itching and my 6 month old has been sneezing and coughing.".......

The owner reached out and admonished the shortcomings. I appreciate the honesty and I'm  thankful management cares enough to reach out.

For starters, I was planning a birthday getaway for my brother at Sunriver and I booked 2 Tournament Lane. Super excited to have a basketball hoop, approximately 2800 square footage, hot tub, game room in the garage, it was perfect! Staff was easy to book the room with and secure it with a deposit. Then the downfalls came shortly after. We were told about a month out, the stove was not working within the residence. Not a big deal at all but we were planning to be cooking throughout the weekend getaway. Bennington then supplied us with a portable stove to accommodate us. Still not a huge deal breaker because the house was easily going to make up for it. Less than 24 hours from when we are suppose to leave to Sunriver, I am told the air conditioning is not working. I inquired about how long Bennington knew about the issue and they confirmed this was something they knew prior and they figured the issues would be resolved prior to our stay. My only issue, communication. If it were to be communicated with me upfront about the updates needed to the residence and the non functional air conditioning unit, I could easily give this review five stars. In continuation and what added to my frustration, was I requested to speak to an employee on the phone versus text messages for an explanation of my bill. I was told one price and offered a partial refund but I was totally duped! Words matter folks, pay attention to the text message words. The text messages made it more difficult for communicating about a certain issue, it almost felt as if the text messages served as a contract and once I missed anything, it was held against me. I had so many questions and could not get them answered through text or natural conversation. I understand texts for certain things and minute questions, but not a larger issue. The employee offered to find my a "comparable" home. The only offers she gave were houses with approximately 1800-2000 square footage and didn't have any of the gaming options or basketball hoop (we are a family of hoopers). They were certainly not comparable and I was offended she thought so. Nonetheless, when they partially refunded me, they didn't refund the correct amount as they promised. They acknowledged they did not configure the amount correctly, this added to my frustration and feeling like I could not trust this company. Ultimately, the house was amazing with little hiccups such as a siding piece with nails near the hot tub. Yes, I stepped on a rusted nail on the hot tub deck. The family still had a blast and last minute, Bennington did agree to allow us to have 12 people instead of ten. A few people bailed and we then only had nine people present. I'm summary, deal with the headache Bennington causes because (even with a house in need of updates) we still had a blast!

The front of the Resort was decorated very beautifully with Christmas lights and also n the back side of the Resort in the garden was light up and was supposed have a light show, but at the entrance the employee mentioned that they been having electricity problem, because of the heavy rain and flooding in the area, so the lights they were having problems. It was a nice Christmas lights viewing. The staff was very nice and friendly.
