We just spent 5 wonderful , restful and beautiful days at Sun River in one of Colton Bennington rental homes.The location was just across from the Sun River Center. The second day we were there the smoke detectors went off warn us that they needed batteries. I called the Bennington office and in less than an hour our problem was fixed! Best of all we had to leave early on our last day and I left my bank bag with over $500.00 cash in it beside the bed in the small dresser.When we go home and everything unpacked no money bag.I sent a text that next morning to the housecleaning crew and asked them to check and see if was there. I left them all my information and they called me and said it was there and they put it in the mail for me. I offered them $100.00 to buy some pizzas for the crew and they said they appreciated the offer but couldn't do that. My happiness is all they needed. This has been a long time coming! We stayed at one of the rental properties on vacation last year! As I look at booking our next adventure this summer, I'm reminded that I wanted to write this review. We are definitely visiting Sunriver this summer again, and of course we are using Bennington Properties once more. From the initial easy to use website to book, to the amazing and spectacular customer service, the super clean houses and accommodations, all the great activities near and in Sunriver,and finally the value of what you pay, for what you get is incredibly affordable. You get what you pay for and if dinky cheap dirty motels is what you want, well then have at it. Bennington Properties though, the people that work there are outstanding! From the owner to the staff in the office, and those in the field, everyone we met and spoke with was absolutely amazing! Thank you for our wonderful stay last time and we'll see you soon! read more

Update- Robert corrected the issue and was very gracious in dealing with the situation. I can tell you now I will be giving these folks a 2nd chance. The customer service Approach after the failures was top notch and one of a kind. Thank you Robert!! :) Updated to 4 stars for now. Will update to 5 after our next stay if things go well! Pretty much a let down. I will say the house itself wasn't bad and had a nice location but it all started upon arrival, we had no WiFi. Granted WiFi isn't normally a critical element but with covid, no pools and limited activities for the kids it was needed. After discovering the bad router we reported it and they had us call in our own ticket to the cable company. Fail! They gave us a credit at the local toy shop for kayaks and whatnot, but after all I did 5 hours on the phone with the cable company. And we still didn't get internet for 2 more days. And the credit doesn't really matter when they were sold out of everything except a canoe. At that point Bennington lost me. But then one of our bikes pedals exploded. Tried to call in a ticket. No response. Texted for support, no response. Overall I rather pay more via vrbo or another Property management company to ensure it's all done right. read more

Our Vrbo (not through Bennington) cancelled on us on the SAME DAY. And after 5 pm. Vrbo couldn't do anything until the next day. There we were - sitting on the front porch with 3 kids and nowhere to go. It was a huge mess. Bennington went out of their way to try to find us something that started same day and could accommodate us. After hours. Contacting owner, making sure it was clean, listening to me sob and my kids in the background We were insanely thankful. We will book with them next time for sure! read more

We just finished a rental from this management company over 4th of July weekend in Sunriver, Oregon. It was clear from the get go that they are very organized and although I like getting info for our trip I received well over 40 messages and texts from them during my stay. Most of which were automated, but it was still overkill. I can't speak to the property owner side but this is something on the customer side that could use an edit. It is especially difficult when going through Airbnb since the messages double up. read more

"My sister who owns a home in Brasada Resort, urged us to try one of your rentals as they have used you guys a lot in the past. We had high hopes after spending over 1k$ to rent 2 tournament Lane. I reached out to your team to ask about earlier check in due to having 2 kids being on a long road trip and possibly arriving an hour or so earlier then your required check in time. I was told that due to covid extensive cleaning and sanitization was taking place between each guest and for that reason only 30 would be given for early arrival.... upon arrival there was a small amount of snow and patches of ice near the front door stairs. My son slipped 2x on these patches of ice at the bottom of the stairs. We entered the house and immediately noticed the strong Oder of Animal Urine and an overall musty smell. Having been traveling a long time we were eager to get the kids fed and put to bed. Upon sitting on the floor in the living room we noticed our legs were itching. Upon further inspection I noticed tons of animal hair and grime in the carpet, couches, pillows, and just about every surface. We opened the windows, and went to bed. In the morning my husband left for a business meeting so the kids and I did not have a car which was the plan. We planned to stay at the house and play in the coming snow, and have a good time while my husband was working for the day. As the day light came on to the house I began to notice the general dirty ness of the house. I sent my sister pictures and she was really surprised and said the properties they had stayed at through your management company has been pretty clean. I had to cover the floors with blankets to be able to let my kids sit on the floor and be able to play. The first blanket Iaid out had white globs of something all over it. Being limited on blankets I flipped it over and used the other side. The other blankets had various holes and stains but had to use what was available. Upon further inspection I began to notice the depth of the filth. We had to be careful not to use the fans due to the extreme amounts of grime and dirt hanging on each blade. We had to be careful not to make the dirt and dust fall off of the ledge above the dishes in the kitchen. My husband noticed the dirt ha going over the edges. At one point my son wanted to try the big jacuzzi tub in the upstairs master room. Seemed somewhat safe to do. He sat in the tub as we filled it. He wanted it to be hotter so I turned up the hot water which turned out to be too hot so I turned on the cold water to get the temperature right, When the handle of the cold water fell off. So scalding hot water was shooting out of the faucet with no way to neutralize it. After pulling him out of the tub and finally jimmy rigging the handle back on we got the cold water to come out more, but the plug in the tub didn't work to hold the water inside so we ended the bath experience. My son was playing on the bed while I was changing my 6m baby's diaper also on the bed, When my son points out a hanging rod wrapped woth old tape dangling just above our heads. Obviously this is very dangerous and needs to be fixed. You really shouldn't let people sleep on a bed where a metal rod is barely hanging above where people sleep. After looking in the downstairs master we noticed the general filth of the room, cobwebs all over the walls and ceiling, animal urine and hair imbedded in the carpets and all over the walls and baseboards. The bathrooms are all filthy, the walls in the house are covered with splatters and grime. This is a long time of build up. We're appalled you would let anyone stay here. The entire time has been spent making sure my kids don't touch this or don't touch that for fear of getting the filth on them. The air filter downstairs is covered in dust and grime. This is false advertising and had you shown picture of the real state of the house we wouldn't dream of staying here. We're wanting a full refund. We won't even discuss anything else. Unfortunately we're stuck here for our stay. It would be absolutely unreasonable to even ask someone to move to another property or go outside while you clean? This is absolutely unbelievable that you would allow anyone to rent this place. I'm certain this isn't the first time you've heard this so why not take care of this before? Even after reaching out after we arrived we got an automated message stating you didn't get messages until the following day. We're going to have to wash everything we brought when we get home because it's saturated in urine smell......We've been itching and my 6 month old has been sneezing and coughing."....... read more

For starters, I was planning a birthday getaway for my brother at Sunriver and I booked 2 Tournament Lane. Super excited to have a basketball hoop, approximately 2800 square footage, hot tub, game room in the garage, it was perfect! Staff was easy to book the room with and secure it with a deposit. Then the downfalls came shortly after. We were told about a month out, the stove was not working within the residence. Not a big deal at all but we were planning to be cooking throughout the weekend getaway. Bennington then supplied us with a portable stove to accommodate us. Still not a huge deal breaker because the house was easily going to make up for it. Less than 24 hours from when we are suppose to leave to Sunriver, I am told the air conditioning is not working. I inquired about how long Bennington knew about the issue and they confirmed this was something they knew prior and they figured the issues would be resolved prior to our stay. My only issue, communication. If it were to be communicated with me upfront about the updates needed to the residence and the non functional air conditioning unit, I could easily give this review five stars. In continuation and what added to my frustration, was I requested to speak to an employee on the phone versus text messages for an explanation of my bill. I was told one price and offered a partial refund but I was totally duped! Words matter folks, pay attention to the text message words. The text messages made it more difficult for communicating about a certain issue, it almost felt as if the text messages served as a contract and once I missed anything, it was held against me. I had so many questions and could not get them answered through text or natural conversation. I understand texts for certain things and minute questions, but not a larger issue. The employee offered to find my a "comparable" home. The only offers she gave were houses with approximately 1800-2000 square footage and didn't have any of the gaming options or basketball hoop (we are a family of hoopers). They were certainly not comparable and I was offended she thought so. Nonetheless, when they partially refunded me, they didn't refund the correct amount as they promised. They acknowledged they did not configure the amount correctly, this added to my frustration and feeling like I could not trust this company. Ultimately, the house was amazing with little hiccups such as a siding piece with nails near the hot tub. Yes, I stepped on a rusted nail on the hot tub deck. The family still had a blast and last minute, Bennington did agree to allow us to have 12 people instead of ten. A few people bailed and we then only had nine people present. I'm summary, deal with the headache Bennington causes because (even with a house in need of updates) we still had a blast! read more

We have rented from Bennington twice now at the same house. Our first visit the house had recently changed owners and we had reservations from the previous owners. The previous owners had not let us know and when we went to confirm our reservations, we were informed they had sold the home. Bennington honored our original reservations even though they weren't required to do so, and kept all the terms the same. Our initial visit went great, there were a few minor items that would have been nice to have. We left feedback with Bennington and the CEO responded personally. We just had our second visit and the items were taken care of! They are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Family oriented, accommodating, super friendly and communicative. We visited the office and it was welcoming and they even had a treasure box with some free toys for our kids. These guys give property management a good name. read more

I would highly recommend using this property management. They were friendly and accommodating. They answered all of my questions and requests. The homes will have bikes, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen utensils, etc. If you run out of toilet paper or paper towels, you can get more from their office. Just stayed at a Bennington property and had a wonderful experience. The house was immaculately clean and had lots of great amenities (in my opinion the best being the hot tub). I got in a early soak and had a great time watching the birds flitter around looking for seeds. I had a little trouble with the electronic lock (totally my mess up) but Christy saved the day by texting me a video on how to get it open. We have rented with Bennington several years ago and only switched it up due to pricing or other family members searching other websites. This year, in the 11th hour, I had to find a 2nd rental because our party grew in size. The chances of getting something where slim to none. However the staff at Bennington actually kept my name and let me know that the perfect (and it was) match came up and they held it for me. Who provides this level of customer service anymore, right? Their check in procedures are ridiculous. Even without someone in the unit ahead of us, they had a check in time of 6:00 pm. After I asked them, they finally let us check in at noon, but could have let us in even earlier. Even worse they had a 10:00 am checkout time even though nobody was coming in after us. And they threatened they would assess us for every 15 minutes we were there after 10:00. Of course they blamed this on Covid, but their ridiculous rules had nothing to do with Covid. And to make matters worse.... they did not notify me of their 6:00 check in time until after I paid the rest of my nonrefundable deposit. read more

Be very careful renting from them. We rented 23 Diamond Peak in August 2019. We had saw other reviews about the kitchen stove and bathroom fan not working correctly. We thought they would be fixed before we checked in. But no they where not in working order. Part way into our stay the hot tub stopped working. But the bad news is the trash bags piled up next door. They had over 8 black plastic bags laying in the yard. In all the years of renting in Sunriver we have never saw this. The house we rented was clean on the inside. I have vacationed through Bennington Properties for many years. My guy, and I have been together for over 17 years and his parents booked through here. We of course came along, brought the kids, and friends. Over time we branched off and started getting our own place. Some times splitting with friends, some times bringing the kids, or once in a while just us. Every property we have stayed at has been very nice, and accommodating. I think maybe one time a long time ago there was an issue with a bed, but Bennington came right out and fixed it. Most of the time we have booked online, but we have also called to book. They do run specials where you can get a night or so free. You will have to look and see. I think it is usually book 3 nights get a 4th? Don't quote me. It has been a while since I have booked. Their web site is really nice because you get to view the places. I am staying here this weekend for my Brother, and Sister in laws Birthdays so they did the booking. They chose a beautiful house, very nicely furnished. I have yet to stay in one that is bad... So it is safe to say yes, will be back. And I almost forgot. They are pet friendly in most of the homes, but not all of them. You have to look online to see. They leave a dog dish with pet treats. read more

Re: Wildflower #9 The office gal was very nice & friendly when we checked in. We were asked to bring back the unused gym passes on our way out we tried dropping them off just before 9 and the office was still closed so guess we'll have to mail them. (They need a slot if they are going to ask you to return things cuz not everyone leaves during business hours.) The condo decor was cute with a lot of clever detail. The place was clean. The beds were comfortable. And just a few doors down from our old condo. Soooo... Very nostalgic. Just a few suggestions... Master bathroom sink - very slow draining. Toilet runs. Extra bedroom - door is warped opening and closing makes loud noises in the middle of the night, disrupting others sleeping! Light was on a table at the end of the bed. Not sure why it wasn't on the table between the beds?? Vacuum was just thrown in the closet making it hard to use or to close the doors. The patio/balcony was dirty so if it had been nicer weather we could not have used it. Extra bathroom - Door creaks loudly when opening and closing. I'd also leave a few more towels for a 5 night stay for 4 people but it was fine. Only taking away one star for the list. All in all it was a four star experience. Our family had a wonderful stay, updated bathrooms, lots of wood provided. Any issues quickly resolved and nothing major. Bennington was very helpful through the whole process from the first phone call with Colette in booking to all the calls along the way during this precarious time, our family was able to come relax together in a wonderful home that we knew was clean and sanitized before our arrival. Plenty of dishes, towels, extra bedding and storage space in a rustic charming cabin. Only downfall is most of the plug ins need replaced as they are loose but I believe they are renovating and it was a very small inconvenience. The local bike rental even came and picked up a bike and trailer we had rented so that we did not have to go out. read more

Stayed at the Sunriver Wildflower condos. Located in a good proximity to the rest of the resort. Condo is 3 stories with the second being the bed rooms and the third being the kitchen and living room. Not very accessible for those with mobility issues. Would have liked a warning on that part of the property. Needed to do laundry and it is located in the master bathroom. The laundry is a stacked type and takes all day to dry clothes. There is no good way to hang dry clothes either. A clothing rack would be helpful. Also encountered a problem with the fact that the pool passes are not included. That's and an extra fee on top of the condo rental. read more

Do not do business with Bennington properties!!! I rented a vacation property for my birthday and unexpectedly had to work with no way to get out of it. Bennington denied my request to change dates because it was too close to the arrival date. They were not flexible or understanding when I had unexpected things happen. Now I am out 450$+ because I have to work. I will never rent with Bennington again. Absolutely cold corporate behavior. read more

They were wonderful! So accomodating (baby gates delivered to rental property). Free movie rentals, prizes for the kids... so nice and helpful. The property we rented was clean and had everything we needed. If it was missing something they would have delivered it to us. They also offer "starter groceries" for your arrival! The rates on the properties were reasonable and they had so many places to choose from. Also, very pet friendly! We will keep using them for all our SunRiver Rentals! read more

this is our fifth (sixth?) stay with in sunriver using bennington properties. their customer service is top-notch. if and when there have been issues (sticky front door key, a clock battery needed replacing, etc.), they showed up within 15 minutes of a call to address. they have many dog friendly units. each time we arrive we (and our pooch) are greeted by a dog bowl, bandana, treats, bags, and special collar tag with their phone number on it, just in case... very thoughtful. high season at sunriver can be crowded... very crowded. if you come after labor day, there are still two or three weeks before the weather turns cold... and bennington offers a "rent for two nights, get the third one free" off-season special. their overall pricing seems inordinately reasonable to what we're used to in the bay area and elsewhere. throw in stellar customer service, and it's a no-brainer. bennington rocks. read more

I had booked a vacation rental from the Feb 20th-23rd I drove 6 hours to make it to this vacation rental due to inclement weather I was turned around by the police to go back even with all wheel drive I called and let the property know immediately but I had to speak to emergency line. Because they were closed. I had to drive back to portland and book another hotel for the night with 6 kids with me. I had to call them and explained I wasn't able to get through and due to the situation was I able to receive a refund. I spent nearly 2,000 for three nights. the lady stated that i needed to speak to third party and I did. They stated that I would be able to get my money back. But then Kim changed her mind. Offer to switch my dates but was like it had to be this month. I clearly stated isn't it still snowing. And she stated yes! I'm clearly can't make it. I was told it was up to booking to make that choice. But then she declined a refund. 2,000 is alot of money to go to waste. Properties beautiful but customer service is garbage!! read more

We were very pleased with the property we rented and the people of Bennington were very nice. I only write reviews for places that we have been happy with, not bad reviews, as I realize any company or person can have a bad day or period of time for one reason or another. However, we were very disappointed and felt mislead when we purchased 4 tickets to the SHARC to take our 10 month old grandson swimming for an hour, understanding that we would recieve 1/2 of our admission back from Bennington after showing the receipt, as stated in the manual in the home from Bennington. Upon leaving and submitting our receipt, we were told that offer is not good after Labor Day. Maybe I missed something somewhere in the book, but we would not have gone to the SHARC if we had known it would have cost us the full amount. We picked this home out of many available rental homes in Sunriver for the fact that it was listed as pet-friendly. They really took that to a whole new level and we couldn't be happier. Our stay began with a welcome packet that included many treats for our two dogs, dog bags and toys. The home itself was in great condition and they even delivered a few rental DVDs to the home before we showed up. The staff was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. We rented a vacation home from Bennington Properties over Christmas week and I must say, of all the rental properties we've ever used, on this continent or several others, this management company was by far the best. They were responsive, helpful, accommodating, and quick to fix issues. The kitchen in the rental house was the best outfitted kitchen I have ever used in a rental and as we like to cook most meals, this was really important. We had baking sheets, multiple large pans and pots for cooking large quantities for the 5 adults. We had a super wide array of cooking tools as well and if we couldn't find something, we just kept looking and invariably we found it. The house was clean, easy to live in and enjoy, and easy to clean up. We left our Christmas tree outside the house as per instructions for easy removal. We needed to print of a couple pages and the office staff person happily did so for my husband. We would definitely rent from the company again and would highly recommend them. read more

We stayed at 38 Winners Circle and the house was awesome with air-conditioning, dog friendly, huge wraparound deck and secluded location with great views right near the tennis courts and golf course. Bennington was extremely helpful the whole time and we enjoyed happy hour and great movies compliments of them! read more

We stayed in a Bennington property in Sunriver last week. We arrived to a house with no water pressure or hot water, and a broken garage door. We called on Sunday and despite being told that someone would come out, no one came. We called again on Monday and someone came but did not address the water problem, only the garage door. We called on Tuesday and they then told us that they were replacing the hot water heating and blowing out the pipes in less than an hour and that we needed to be out of the house for most of the day (with our dog). They apologized for not giving us advance warning but offered us only a bottle of wine in compensation. This was far too much inconvenience for one trip. I will not be renting from them again. On a side note, they left us gift and useful materials for our dog when we arrived. But they offered us nothing else to orientate ourselves to Sunriver. I think they value their canine guests more than their human guests. I guess they have forgotten who actually pays and makes the decisions.... read more

Bennington properties made our one year anniversary so wonderful. We stayed on diamond peak lane in sun river. It was updated the furniture was comfortable we had a hot tub and made a fire In our fire place. I could call them at any time if I needed anything and they promptly responded to any and all the needs we had. We got there after a long drive and the heat was on and the house was cozy. The hot tub was running. We had champagne waiting for us with chocolates and even dog biscuits for our dog! Outstanding place to stay. I wish we could have stayed for ever! Bennington Property saved the day for our family. I tried to book a house online through a thritd party (flip key) place because it looked like a better rate. The third party took my credit card info and sent a message that I had to wait to see if my request was approved by the owner. It came back approved and then the detailed list of charges came out! What a surprise. Booking fees were crazy and there were two charges for them. When I called 2 hours after receiving this to cancel, they told me Imwould forfeit the funds. We went back and forth, benington stepped in a asked them to cancel my reservation and refund me. They kept a booking fee of $135, but Bennington price was STILL better in the long run, even after the charge. They were so nice and made us feel special. The lock froze on the hot tub and they were out to fix it within 30 minutes of our call. The guy even sprinkled extra cinder stuff around the walkway and drive way so we didn't slip and fall.
