We've stayed at Sunriver before, even rented from Vacasa at a different location, and are aware of the strict check in/ check out times due to COVID. This review is for the helpful staff who answered the phone 3 times within 45 minutes of our arrival, just as a big winter storm was setting in. The 2 women (I wish I could remember their names... Cindy and Stephanie?!? I'm not good at remembering names, sorry!) answered our questions with care, patience and kindness. They promptly communicated with maintenance and other departments to answer our "snow newbies" questions. We felt very well taken care of by the Vacasa staff. Because of previous experience, reading several dozen reviews, and knowing they want to thoroughly clean the unit so it's safe for the next renter, we will understandably heed the strict check in/out times. read more

Hidden Escape N Bend Oregon Booked with Vacasa December 2025 This was the worst experience we have had in our life The property was falsely listed as a Clean, Secure, & Comfortable Home. We stayed less than 12 Hours, We booked a 11 day vacation over the Christmas Holiday which was disappointing, They property was filthy, a very bad odor, missing Window Blinds, No locks on window had sticks in the bottom of the casements, the dishes and utensils unusable, The stove started smoking when we tried to make some tea, Missing light bulbs, couch filthy, no Internet or TV and mold in the windows, bathroom didn't look like it had ever been cleaned. These weren't just little things the place was uninhabitable. But the biggest betrayal came when their so called representative showed up 12 hours later, he refused to even enter different rooms of the property to address our concerns, He laughed when I turned on the stove and it started smoking, the only resolve he offered was a full refund which they reneged on 2 hours later, Go Figure Nobody in the right mind would rate this place above 1 Star, more like -10 . We rented our Bend home through Vacasa and it was a total dumpster fire time after time. Their lazy staff failed to adequately clean after guests left with led to bad reviews. We also had multiple thefts of house hold furnishings, kids sporting equipment and kitchen items. When questioned Vacasa leaders said not our deal. The house was pet free but guests showed up with pets and left crap in the back yard. Again, not their deal and not follow up with the guests. Then we had a group of witches that rented the house and pissed in various places throughout the house and dripped hot wax during their freaky shit. The area manager called me and was upset and said he'd replace all the bedding and have the house cleaned. Unfortunately I had to pressure wash the compost deck for hours to remove all the wax and get things back to normal. Throughout the two years we used Vacasa as our short term rental management company and it was a constant shit-show. I even had to track the renters and the payment system because I was shorted payments and charged for replacement bedding I didn't need. We provided all towels and bedding but were charged for items that were fraudulently billed. We finally removed Vacasa and cut out the madness and dirt-bag who want to trash our property. Avoid Vacasa at all costs or you too will be sorry. This is all fact and not exaggeration unfortunately. Listen to me or learn the hard was. read more

If I could leave zero stars for this business I would. We booked a 7 night stay in Sunriver months ahead of time. 7 days prior to our arrival, local wildfires began to affect the air quality. Hoping for the best we watched as the air appeared to be improving and upon arrival the air was much worse than stated on any AQI app. Both myself and my daughter have asthma and we contacted vacasa to request either a credit or partial refund given health concerns and there was no consideration whatsoever. We would even have driven to another property run by vacasa in a safer, healthy environment would they have offered it. I understand that they cannot control the environment but the fact that there was zero consideration due to "corporate policy" let's me know they have grown to big to care about customer satisfaction. We will not use Vacasa managed properties again. read more

Rented a Sunriver property over Christmas 2021 for family. Wanted a white Christmas. Big snow storm came in. Right in the middle of cooking Christmas dinner, the power went out. We waited, looked up the power company. Their website confirmed power out with no further updates. It was going to be low teens that night. We decided it's better to pack up and leave, then try to brave a freezing night. We pulled dinner out, packaged it. Gave it to our daughter who lives in Bend. The entire family packed up and left on Christmas afternoon. The kids went to the daughters in Bend. We had to get a hotel room. Another $300 on top of $550+/day for the house. Rental company would not refund the last day. Act of God. Well, you lost a customer for good. Never renting from you again. read more

Do not rent from Vacasa. We rented a house in Sunriver and it was problem after problem. The house was not as promised. I called and texted everyday. They charged an enormous amount and then all I received as a credit was $603. No A/C. No hot tub. Weird layout. Very steep stairs to the upper level. Kitchen stocked with broken or missing necessary items. Don't believe the advertisement. Not family friendly at all. Don't be deceived. They said they had cameras on the house to make sure we didn't have more than 12 people. Which we didn't. But only 5 cars. Family coming at different times and days. I had to keep updating their app with license plate numbers. So many rules and regulations and threats to be thrown out if you did anything wrong. Their listing on VRBO was completely inaccurate. We never would have rented the property we did if it was accurate. Customer service wouldn't do anything other than tell us to complain to VRBO. They didn't offer to assist with that communication or reach out themselves, even though they clearly have a channel of communication if their property is being listed through that site. The woman was very rude at the end of our call and basically hung up on. I wish I could give 0 stars. thanks for ruining our vacation. read more

We rented a beautiful hone for a large group 6 adults/6 kids) and were very happy! Even with all the people in our group the home didn't seem crowded at all. The home had everything you would need including a fully stocked kitchen, bikes, kid bike tow behind trailer, BBQ and pool table. The home we rented was very reasonable and even had a separate attached condo! Vacasa was very quick to respond to our hot tub maint request and when my newborn delayed our check out they were very understanding and gave me extra time at the house to nurse her before our 3 hour car ride home. I would highly recommend Vacasa and their rental Salishan Lane #2 and will be using them next year for our vacation! read more

We have stayed in Sunriver before and even last year with Vacasa and loved it but this year was disappointing: When we arrived, there was popcorn on the carpet and candy wrappers on the floor in the upstairs bathroom. There was no hand or bath soap anywhere in the house. The dust was so thick on the headboards that we could write our names in it. There were huge cobwebs around the upstairs windows. The drain was plugged in the upstairs bathroom. When we called, they brought soap and other toiletries and came to fix the drain. Still, during CoVid in particular, I expected more cleaning. They even required an hour than earlier check out and no early check-in so they could clean. Really?? read more

My husband and I rented a Sunriver Home that sounded great in the advertisements, but did not come anywhere near to living up to the ads. We called Vacasa to complain that the heater didn't work, the dishwasher was broken and the home was very dirty. No one at Vacasa was even nice to us, although the two handymen we met were pleasant. I wrote a lengthy review about various issues we had, and the review was heavily edited, to the point of being confusing. The editor left all the nice things in the written portion, like our happiness with the location. However, the review had only one star for cleanliness and maintenance. So anyone reading it would not know what to think. No one at Vacasa ever apologized or offered us even a tiny refund. We never got a call from management. And then they edit our review. I booked a house in June for the whole family and had an amazing time. Only one problem, on the night we decided to grill steaks the BBQ was broken. We called maintenance and within 5 minutes the coolest maintenance man I've ever met showed up to fix it. When I say " coolest " I mean he showed up smiling , happy and had the whole family laughing. This by far is a great place to rent from and Jonny U Made our stay. He even came back the next day to check up on us and make sure our stay was great. read more

We stayed at Sisters Locust Lane Retreat. This was a superb vacation rental. Quaint yet spacious. Very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Was here for a weekend getaway with my daughters and sisters. In the evening we sat in the living room with the fire going. There's a TV in every room but we didn't really use them. Some deer jumped the fence into the yard when one morning which was a real treat. Close enough to walk into town but, being winter, it was cold and sometimes raining so we drove. If we ever return to Sisters, this will be our first choice for accommodations! read more

We booked and stayed at house in Redmond, on the Eagle Crest resort (the house was on Murrelet Drive) Overall this was a great house. We stayed at it while at a training nearby. The beds were rock hard however, one person ended up sleeping on the couch as it was better then the bed; and the kitchen knives were very dull. Otherwise it was great, plenty of space to play games and eat together, or spread out to get some quiet time away from the group. The deck was beautiful and a great place to enjoy the sun. Would stay again, but would probably bring something to put on the bed to make it more bearable. (There were several of us, so nearly all beds were used, and all were hard, some worse than others) read more

We booked a trip to the Fort Bragg area and they the covid happened and the county and state said we could not go. We agreed to rebook the trip the same date a year later and guess what? 150.00 more a night for the same accomodation. I will never ever book with them again and every time I do a live auction I let the crowd know not to use them and what they do. Let me tell you how Vacasa ruined our vacation! After calling and leaving several voice messages to see if we could check in to our house early and not hearing back, my husband and I decided to drive to the house and see (this was around 2:45, check-in was at 4). Upon arrival, my husband used the code that was given and went inside to find the house an absolute train wreck. Champagne bottles, food cans etc.... someone had a great time before we did. Looking at the mess and seeing that there is no way they could clean this place by 4, we tried calling again and still a two hour wait on the phone. We came back at 4:00 to find a poor house keeper scrambling to clean the house telling us that Vacasa has called her at 3:15 to tell her our house had been "missed." We told her to take her time and would be back later but she insisted she was almost done. We returned an hour later to find beer cans on the back deck, a dirty bbq, the smell of vomit near the dining room table, and crumbs all over the floor. There was popcorn seeds on the nightstand, food dried on the stove and stains dripping down the wall. We called again, this time on hold for 45 minutes just to be told that the only thing they could do for us was to give us a full refund, or send a cleaning lady back the NEXT day and give us our cleaning fee back. The woman on the phone who helped us scoffed at us saying we were only paying $99 a night.... meanwhile we wasted our entire evening searching for a new place to stay that ended up costing us more and an entire evening. Let's top it off with the new house wasn't going to be available until 4:30 the next day so we were stranded for 5 1/2 hours, waiting another day if our vacation. This place is absolutely horrible. Did I mention that this after covid too?! Don't book here, Bennington was a much better and professional rental company and experience who even discounted our stay because they felt so badly. read more

We love vacationing in Orange beach and Gulf shores. In the past we have used another company however they were booked at the time and so we ended up using Vacassa and booking at light house condos. From the pictures it looked amazing and there are some things I liked. #1 the balcony is bigger than what we typically have had in the past and we love that. #2 the layout is amazing we had a 2 bedroom with a bunk bed. the open floor plan we loved!! However when it comes to service and getting issues taking care of it is the WORST.. we were able to check in early which was great so we were in rhe room and unpacked by 3ish. Monday May 31st @ 5:02 pm I text Sharhonda the property caretaker to inform her the fridge was not cold to the touch.( i did not expect our food/ drinks to be cold yet but did expect it to be cold to the touch she told me she would put in a ticket for it. This went back and forth between her supervisor and her and she said her supervisor said to wait till 7.. which we did and matiance came out, he said give it 24 hours.. Again we did wait as they had asked Tuesday at 3:03 pm i sent her a text NO REPLY I finally called Vacassa and they said they would put in a ticket Wensday morning got up and still not cold again I text Sharhonda and no reply, So I called they said they would try to figure it out but to blow up sharhondas cell phone until I got through I did and she said she was getting with her supervisor. i texted her and asked her to keep me updated but she DID NOT I stopped in at front office and they called the supervisor for me and she said she would be on site to take a look later in the day. finally about 5 pm Wednesday the fridge got cold to the touch a full 48 hours into the vacation !!! After a text to marie and telling her I would like to talk to her before i leave a review she said she would be on permises and would talk to me face to face. ( AS of thursday at 10 am ( this has not happened) Maintance finally came in and his excuse was these are bottom of the line condos what do you expect? You have a case of beer you have capri suns its gonna take awhile to get cold.. The response I got was bottom of the line, the room was not up to par there was also some housekeeping issues that i over looked beccause I knew we came in after a long holiday weekend and I knew it was not a huge deal ... One review i read today said to bring toiletries because there are not any and that is true but you need more. There was no strainer which to me is a kitchen essential. there was no rash rags only towels so we had to go buy our own for the trip and there was no kitchen rags to clean up while we were there so again we had to buy our own .. Again We have stayed at other condos and they definally take care of the customer 10000%% better and we will not be staying here in the future I really had hoped that Marie would of done what most supervisors should of and reached out to me knowing we were not happy but she failed to do so which lefft me NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW maintance also said there was other condos with same issues i still can not believe that he thinks that this is a bottom of line condo we didn't pay bottom of line pricing we paid average for this area and the amount of days we were staying... read more

We attempted to rent a lovely cabin in Bend, Oregon which was managed by Vacasa. Two days before we were supposed to go they contacted us saying they could only host 2 of the 4 days we were scheduled to stay, and offered a full refund if this didn't work. When I replied, USING THEIR DIRECTIONS, that I would like a refund I got zero response. When I finally called for confirmation I got the RUDEST WOMAN EVER who told me that I would have to cancel through Airbnb and given the late date would likely only get 50% back. When I wanted to talk more about this, since it conflicted with the communication I earlier received that day FROM THEM, she spoke over me giving my the Airbnb number and hung up. Rude, rude, rude... I will be on the lookout and steer clear, nationwide, from this company. Horrible. read more

We cannot thank VACASA Vacation Rentals enough for the impeccable service they have provided us with! We recently had a home booked at the Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, OR for our daughter's State Basketball Tournament. We were 24 hours from check in and found out that the State Basketball tournament has been cancelled due to bad weather. We immediately called VACASA to see what they could do for us as we didn't have the trip insurance. They ended up making a major exception for us and cancelled the reservation and gave us a full refund because they felt so terrible that our family and these kids had to go through this. It truly warmed our hearts and we will definitely use VACASA again in the future for vacation rentals!! They were kind, courteous and very helpful and understanding of what we are going through!! I would highly recommend this company as they have very good and compassionate people working there!! read more

We rented a home from Vacasa home rentals in Sunriver Oregon during 8/30/17 and 9/1/17. Sadly, it was a very bad experience. We didn't receive any notification or warning from them about poor air quality until we arrived there. All outdoor activities were closed for both two days during our stay. When we asked them if we can have refund for the waterpark entrance, they said no. They are saying the indoor pool is good enough for their customers. And their agent is rude. We rented a home at 20 Hickory Ln. from Vacasa home rentals in Sunriver Oregon over the 4th of July, 2017. Sadly, the home was less than what one would expect when paying $500 per night. The accommodations were old and several things were dirty and or broken. The dryer didn't work, the BBQ was filthy, the sharp knives were dull at best! Some of the kitchen cabinets were broken and our bedroom chest of drawers didn't open and close allowing us to put clothing in. The front entry steps were a tripping hazard and several of the back deck boards were warped with separation between them creating a tripping condition.
