Stayed here for a week while exploring the area. This is the perfect place to stay when you're traveling with pets and don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room. We choose this chain because they don't charge extra for pets and all rooms have hardwood floors. I booked our stay through the My6 app. The average cost we paid per night was $80. It doesn't look like much from the outside, pretty old, but the rooms are clean. This is a no-frills motel chain, so be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, etc. They supply toilet paper and bar soap. The price is right and we usually bring our own toiletries when traveling anyway, so it isn't an issue for us. One of our pups started coughing horribly about 2/3 into our vacation. I called the front desk and talked with Aaron. He said it would be no problem to check out the next morning, 2 days early, and he could give us a refund for those 2 days. I was very thankful. It's sad enough to have to cut your vacation short and worry about your dog. We checked out the next morning and received a receipt for the 2 night refund with well wishes for our pup. Stayed one night here on our way to Idaho. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, mold growing on upper walls, door was broken and didn't shut all the way, the towel bar was broken and kept coming off the wall, mildew in shower caulking, front door had light and air coming in around it, so we had to shove a towel against it. Went to Bi-Mart around the corner and realized we were in the seedy part of town, there was a place the homeless druggies were hanging out. Only giving two stars because we forgot something and they were nice enough to call to let us know and hold it for us until we came back through. Never again, yuck! read more

The floor was dirty. The microwave was not clean, something had spilled down the front of it and they did not clean it before we arrived.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! checked in and the front desk lady was nothing but rude. Went to my room decided to get ready to take a shower looked in the shower and there were hairs from the previous person, he room smelled like dogs, and the floor was filthy . Went to the front desk to let her know and she acted like I was putting her out, I was eventually moved to another room. The only reason I don't give this place a one star is the old gentleman (forgot his name. Prob 70+ years old) at the front desk is very very friendly. Great guy to talk to. He deserves 5 stars. It was a last min decision to stay in Bend for one night and most places were full so we ended up here. I never expect much from motels, but regardless of the cost (and this place is also not cheap anyway), cleanliness should be very essential. Our room was not clean, and I was greeted by long hair on my bed. As I inspected closely, I found lots of stains (most likely body fluid or grease) on my bed sheet and blanket. Soon I realized there is a ghetto strip club right next to this motel, and I couldn't help but think people came to this place for ONS and made a big mess. My bed was totally disgusting and I wonder if they really change the bed when customers leave. I didn't use the top cover at all because it was too dirty, but I still felt like I was covered in cum sleeping in this bed. I literally didn't move my body at all the whole night, no joke. We still left tips as we left because we are good customers although our experience was not good. I'd give up on the TV, fridge and whatever hardware they offer in exchange for a clean room/bed. read more

The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. The bathroom was clean although I have not stayed at a Motel 6 in a long time, so I didn't realize they were not providing shampoo, conditioner, or a hair dryer. We had to ask for bar soap at the front desk and they gave it to us. We also discovered that the inside of our microwave was very dirty in the morning when we tried to use it. Considering that Expedia charged me $173.44 per night to stay here, I was expecting this place to be nicer than the average Motel 6. The main reason that I would not stay here again is there is an adult video store and what appears to be a strip club right across the street from the hotel. You can't see them on Google Maps, but the unlabeled place containing an ATM is an adult entertainment center. Also, if you stay here, don't book through Expedia. They charged $173.44, but they only paid the hotel $131.82 for the room, meaning that Expedia charged over $40 in undisclosed service fees. read more

We like the budget features of this chain and it's clean furnishings (eg no carpet). We recently stayed at the north Redding CA motel and it was above the average (in our experience). This motel in Bend is a bit below. We did appreciate the surprise of having a microwave and fridge and the night manager was very welcoming. Downsides were that for extra pillows was not fulfilled in advance (as it was in Redding). The door squeaked horribly and this should have been dealt with by staff. Lighting was a quite harsh white LED; needs a warmer color. These niceties don't cost money but would improve the guest experience. The main room was partially remodeled; shower/toilet room was a bit old and caulking had some mold. The location was near train tracks and had other outside noise, but this was effectively minimized by using the AC. read more

This hotel looks nothing like what it shows. Our room had mold all over the ceiling and walls of the bathroom, the tub was chipped and gross to the point we didn't even use it. We drove all the way from the Bay Area (California), so we did a bit of looking around before we settled on staying here. I know that there are quite a few other options in Bend, but having one large and one medium dog in tow makes it especially complicated. We weren't looking to break the bank nor were we planning on spending a majority of our time in our room. With that said, I was extremely pleased with our stay here. I've never stayed at a motel 6 before and honestly, I didn't know what to expect before we arrived. The room looked recently renovated. On top of our two queen beds (at no extra charge from one King), there was a mini fridge, microwave, mounted TV, and even a small table and two chairs! This was our first time bringing our two dogs on an actual road trip. Despite all of the nuances that occurred during the trek to Bend, the room was the saving grace of the trip. The man behind the desk was very nice. We had reserved a room for two nights but after the extremely long day that we had coming up, we didn't want to stay the extra night. After calling the front desk, they issued us a refund once we stopped by there. I was so relieved and we ended up picking up dinner and eating in our room to spare ourselves any more issues with the dogs. I also really appreciated the fact that he set us up in a room right in front of a patch of grass so that we didn't have to venture far to let our dogs do their business and pick up after them. In short, despite the trials and tribulations that our dogs put us through, motel 6 made the trip much more pleasant. I know that the area can look a bit questionable with the businesses across the street, but we didn't run into any issues with any people staying at the motel or otherwise. For the price, I feel that you're definitely getting your money's worth. So if you're traveling with two dogs, consider staying here because it's a nice place to recharge your batteries for a long road trip. First off , the shower was like a faucet turned on low.. The water was barely warm , the door to the bathroom didn't close , the front door had daylight and cold air coming in all around it. My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and one of the days I asked for towels to exchange for my dirty ones and was accused of stealing . Alright folks - it's a $80 a night motel--reading some of the reviews you'd think people were anticipating a marriot or something. You pay for what you get. It's a clean, no-tell-motel with amenities as such. The parking can get a bit tricky especailly when workers are splitting rooms and not accounting for vehicles. I had to struggle to find parking and almost had to park on the street. Ok so this is Motel 6. NOT Marriott. Two things are important in a hotel: is it clean? (Worth 3 stars) Is the bed comfy? (2 stars) At around 100.00 a night this was the only motel we could afford in Bend. Other places, even the small motels, were 200 a night and up. To know before you go: this is an old motel and it shows, the room was dark, the chairs were hard, no real "lobby", no breakfast (but coffee all day), no shampoo (soap only). I was amazed how modern and new everything is! They remodeled all the rooms apparently and everything is so nice and new! The TV is huge! Now I need to buy a bigger TV! The vanity is a pretty, modern, white. There is a nice table with two chairs situated so you can see the tv well. There's lots of counter and shelves and books for your belongings. I love the new grey laminate flooring! No smelly, old carpet that a lot of hotels have (even expensive ones)! Cheap and clean. 5 stars for what it is. If you want all the bells and whistles you have to pay more for it. Clean newly remodeled rooms. New paint, new flooring. Smells clean. Plenty of pillows and towels. Free coffee in the lobby, Internet, tiny soaps... There is a pool. Nice flat screen TV. No continental breakfast, no coffee maker in your room, no shampoos or lotions. It's a Motel 6, not The Peninsular. Now that we've got that settled, it is clean and basically comfortable. My room was spartan, but clean and in good repair. My room had a small microwave oven and a small refrigerator, very nice. The air conditioner worked well which can be important in Bend in the summer. There is no food service, but there is ice. This is a classic motel-style property, U-shaped with the parking and pool in the center. This can be noisy with cars coming and going even late... or early. Did I say pool? Yes! There is a pool. I didn't try it, but others were and it seemed in good order. So, my conclusion is that this is a good economy. read more

On a business trip over a three Day Holiday and needed somewhere to lay my head down. After calling several places in Bend, they all were booked with nothing available. The last place I really wanted to go to was a Motel 6. The reasoning for that is because the two Motel 6s in Everett Washington are gross. Nasty. Scummy. They even allow people to sleep in their cars in the parking lot . Constant drug related visits from the police. Stayed here because I had no choice. I was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean. It was nice. It's sad that my perception of a business chain is all because of two locations in my hometown that make the whole chain look bad. I would totally stay here again. Everybody was nice and the price was fair. The only thing I would say I wasn't happy with was in the morning when I found out the bathroom window was wide open. That seems like a security problem while I'm sleeping. And there was no coffee in the room. I would have enjoyed a cup of coffee while getting ready for my day. Thanks for a nice stay. The ONLY good thing about this place was the older gentleman who checked me in. He was kind, patient, helpful, and professional. All other aspects were a cringing disappointment. I would have managed my expectaions had it not been for experiences at other Motel 6s & had I not paid $114. I recently started staying at Motel 6s because they are pet friendly and the motels are everywhere. I've been pleased to find the rooms at every M6 I've stayed have been clean, typically refurbished, and comfortable. NOT SO here. - One of the window locks was broken, allowing someone to open from the outside. The window was large enough for a grown person to crawl through. From the front desk, I was able to get a length of wood to block the window from opening more than four inches. - There was a used bar of soap, with a strand of hair, on the side of the bathtub [yeech]. - There was a dirty, semi-dried, washcloth stuck on the shower rod between the shower curtain. - The floor had not been swept or mopped in some time. My white socks were black within a few minutes of walking around in the room. I threw them in the trash & kept my shoes on from then on. - The furniture [bed frame, bed table, flat tops, etc.] also had not been dusted or tended to. I appreciate that Motel 6s are simple no-frills and I don't expect more than that WRT amenities; however, there is an expectation of cleanliness. The owner of this place is getting robbed if he is paying the cleaning staff. Will not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. Caveat: The 4 star rating is in comparison to other motels. In full disclosure, I prefer staying at hotels. Most of the cons listed are found in every motel I've ever seen, and this Motel 6 is significantly better than many other motels in the Bend area. Pros: - Great price. - Location is close to downtown Bend. - Rooms and linens were clean and flooring appears to have been replaced recently. - Beds were firm. - Water pressure in the shower was good. Cons: - All rooms are literally feet away from the parking lot, so noise and lights can be a problem. - Walls are pretty thin. I had to turn the wall mounted fan on high just to sleep. - Located in a moderately sketchy neighborhood, though this only appears to extend for a few blocks. The trashy strip club across the street does not help. - Nothing but soap provided for the shower. Really? No shampoo? - The temperature of the lights in the room is terrible. All are either fluorescent or more than 5000k. This is a fine place to stay if you just need a place to crash for a night, but is not somewhere you'll want to use as a home base for anything longer than a day or two. read more

Quite possibly the worst Motel 6 ever! Sorely outdated furnishings, no coffee maker, no shampoo's! No exhaust fan in the bathroom, a small window with a broken screen. Horribly outdated laminate flooring. Once the smell of bleach left the room, you could tell it once had smokers. Small bath towels. A little tube TV, no TV guide, had to scroll through the channels to figure out what was what. No do not disturb sign. I can't believe anyone would give this place 5 stars! I stayed here in July. The room was fine, the staff was pleasant. I was doing the Keto Diet so it was important to me to have a room with a refrigerator and they had that and a microwave. I stayed two nights and had no problems at all. You can't stay at a Motel 6 expecting it to be like a $400 a night hotel. For the price we paid for a room, it should come with a quick continental breakfast. There wasn't even coffee pot in our room. Found trash under the bed. Also when a room is reserved for 4 people hours in advance, more towels should be put in the room. Since it was a late check-in, it was very awkward to call the front desk to wake up the old man attendant who had gone to bed, so I didn't. The beds were very hard too. Its a Motel 6, what do you expect? Cons: shares a parking lot entrance with a strip club. For some, this could be moved to the "Pros" section. Trains load across the street, and apparently load from 12am till after I left in the morning. It wouldn't be a terrible thing if the train weren't running all night long and the rumble didn't reverberate through the room. Pros: It was $49 a night if you book online. Its a Motel 6. It is exactly what you would expect... nothing more and nothing less. We were in town for the Bend Premier Cup soccer tournament, and the rooms fill up fast for that weekend, even months ahead of time. The rooms have recently been remodeled and were clean and fresh. No hair dryers in the rooms here, so make sure you bring your own if its something you cant do without. We didnt get to use the pool or anything because of our tight schedule, but it appeared clean as we walked past the gated enclosure to our car. Lots of people being pretty noisy overnight, and the rooms arent very soundproof. Twice overnight there was a guy (different one each time) walking around the balcony on the second floor testing the doors to see if any were unlocked. Across the street there is an adult store/club type of place that actually seemed pretty busy through the evening (It looked like a steakhouse restaurant from our side of the street, almost went over to get dinner and saw the sign before my daughter did, and backtracked! Haha). My only *real* issue, however, is that when I was checking in the guy at the front desk tried to charge me more than I had been told at reservation the cost would be. I called him out immediately and he fixed the pricing without further argument, but he clearly knew what he was trying to do as I had mentioned the price I was quoted more than once during the check-in process AND had set my printed email on the counter in front of him as soon as we walked in. I suppose this is fairly normal at little places like this, but agitating none-the-less. All-in-all... yes, if it were the last room available again in the future we would use it for another soccer tournament, but not without verifying pricing before signing, of course. read more

This hotel became a bit of a staple for me, because it was so dependable for several trips. Great rates, clean and modern rooms. I mean, it's a motel six so no shampoo or breakfast, but I was expecting that. Then this trip was totally different! So we check in and go put our keys in the door, and it's locked from the inside by the security latch, so we have to go back downstairs to get someone to get us in. Then we come into the room and notice two dirty towels are hanging on the back of the bathroom door. It's late, we're tired, and since there were two more clean ones, we went to take a shower, which had a nasty leak that sprayed the whole bathroom. So what was good: mattresses were comfortable. What was bad: it was in a ghetto part of town, the sheets were dirty and had pet hair, the laminate floors were so dirty I couldn't walk barefoot. There were holes in the walls, the towel racks were broken, the curtains were broken, there was no bent in the bathroom, AND FOR ALL THIS it was hella pricey. Motel 6's are not what they used to be; all over the country the buildings are old, and they attract the lowest strata of customers who smoke right outside their rooms, party till late hours, get up early and are very noisy. This motel 6 is decent. What really impressed me was the water. A lot of hotels have low water pressure, and the need to run the water a bit for hot water to arrive. This place has nearly instant waterfalls of hot water. I have never seen anything like it, despite being 20°F outside. This water flow was so powerful, I thought it would push the sink through the counter into the floor. Other stuff here might have been a little dated, but was in working ordered. For a motel that is cheap and does not charge for pets, this has been a great place to stay. We stayed in one room for nearly a month as a "home" while we looked for a rental. Sadly the pool is closed and there is not a breakfast provided. The only negatives we have about this motel is the location(being next to a gentleman's club and right off a busy street. The other thing is how fast our bare feet turned black walking on the wood floors even after mopping. Not sure how that works. Will continue to pick motel 6 when we are in need of a place to stay as we didn't have any issues with homeless, stealing or even the fear of being harmed. As a mother to a toddler and pregnant that is a major plus from my side. We truly are great full for not being charged extra for our pets or son. The rooms are spacious for extended stays and there is plenty of parking available. read more
