We stayed here just for one night because we wouldn't make the drive home to Corvallis as it was really late. The room we got had the smell of cigarette smoke, they charged us $40 for our 2 dogs (mind u we were only there for 6 hours to sleep), and the floors were extremely sticky. I was trying to sleep and a bug landed on me!! I had so little trust in this place that I didn't take a shower in the morning for sanitary reasons. So I had reservations down the street with the business named after a sandy hill. They were not nice and I cancelled on them and found the Cascade Lodge. These people are so nice, I want to do business with them. Roma were old but updated and quiet. The parking is great, the pool was a nice dip and Has full sun. The rooms were inexpensive, and I really liked my stay. 6 days was well worth it here. Nothing special but I will go back next year. read more

I have stayed here before and it was a great stay. This time was different. My reservation quoted me $320. When I came to check in, the lady charged me $440 and refused to provide a receipt. She said my receipt would be emailed to me. It was not..... I went to check out at 7am and get my deposit back but the door is locked every morning, despite the info saying it is open 24/7. Anyway, my room was very small compared to the last time I was here. Parking in the back is unrealistic having crammed many large trucks and vans in the smallest parking spots with a small brick wall behind everyone. I was stuck for a day, not able to get my truck out of the most cramped parking spot. Coffee is awful and no continental anything. If I dont get the price gouging resolved, I won't be coming back. I checked in on 9/12 and after unloading all my stuff I went to put something in the fridge and a cockroach came running out from under the microwave that sits on top of the fridge.... I packed up my stuff & left. When I turned in my key & said I couldn't stay (I was polite & didn't even ask for a refund) the guy told me his lawyer was on speed dial & that he would sue me for lying & making a false claim.. & also that he was calling police ‍ So I went outside to wait.. I was curious as to how he thought this would go down... 2-3 mins later he came out & told me to get off his property because I was trespassing & that they had me on their video cameras & had my license plate.... On a motorcycle road trip from California, no fixed plans. I checked reviews online and was confident the facility would be perfectly satisfactory for an overnight stay. The gentleman at the front desk, the son of the owner I believe, was very welcoming and informative. The motel has been operated by the same family for many years I'm told. The room was really a very unexpected and pleasant surprise, very large, with all the amenities you could want. Very clean with a super comfortable bed. I can honestly say that this was the best value I have experienced in as long as I can remember and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any friend who find themselves in the area. read more

We started staying at this motel years ago mainly because it was inexpensive. (We come to Bend twice a year to go to a dermatologist that we like.) We were pleasantly surprised that they had such nice rooms for that price. We stay here twice a year and every time we come, they have made improvements to the motel with not a big price jump. I got the final credit for the fraudulent charges. At first Cascade told the bank some nonsense but did not even state the basis for the charges. I had to write my credit card company a letter saying what had happened with dates and receipts to prove the points. It was hardly worth my time (all told a wasted 3-4 hours) and aggravation for the $80 but there is a point that has to be made. It should not have been this hard. Like I said before DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE SCAN YOUR CREDIT CARD. Prepay or pay with cash. If that is not good enough for them, find another place. The place is cheap but the accommodations are just barely acceptable so don't be afraid to take your business elsewhere. read more

First, the owner walked right into our room at one point without even knocking. Luckily we were dressed. Next, we ran out of toilet paper (we were supplied with an almost-empty roll and no replacement. When we went to ask for more, there was no one in the office because they were all in their little food truck. We stood outside for quite sometime while they ignored us, before we gave up, went back to the room, and used tissues. Then, we had an emergency come up and had to modify our booking and leave two days early. The owners were extremely rude when we asked to get a partial refund, and refused to give any refund at all, even though they had ample time to re-book the room for those two days. When I tried to follow up about it online, first I was told they would give a refund, then that they wouldn't, then I was told I didn't "deserve" a refund because I had already left a bad review. ...Last I checked, that's not the way refunds work. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but we were very happy when we walked into our room and took it all in. Needed a place to rest on our way up to Portland. Booked thru booking.com after reading their reviews and yelp's. Great price at $110 for a roomy suite with sofa bed, chair, kitchenette, large dining table, big comfy bed and huge spa tub, along with all the amenities. All very clean and newly remodeled. Friendly staff, quick check-in. We were already stuffed, but they have a pop-up Indian food joint outside the office that smelled delicious. read more

We stayed here for two nights and our way to Idaho and on the way back. Kumar was very friendly and helpful. The room was roomy, clean and looked recently redone. Especially the bathroom was all new. We were able to park right in the front of the room which was extremely helpful as we were transporting a motorcycle. A very nice place to stay at an economical price! read more

My husband & I stayed at the Cascade Lodge in Bend, Oregon. The room is pretty clean but kind of old. There was no WiFi guest password listed anywhere so I had to call the front desk to get it. The landline phone does not work ! The outlets are really loose & hard to plug phone charger in! One of the little charger outlets on the lamp was very loose but it works if you prop it up! There is a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, little table & 2 chairs, ironing board etc. it is an "OK" place, but nothing special. read more

Ok so I was an actual guest at the Cascade Lodge and the high star ratings that they have previously posted are terribly inaccurate! Unless they are in the remodeling process and haven't made it to room 52. The rooms were aged ( I can overlook that), definitely had a less than pleasant odor, my peephole had tissue(‍) stuffed inside, the faucet water leaked over the lovely sink onto the counter, numerous chips in the paint throughout. Now if I were a drug dealer or a lady of the night I would say it's a bargain.... In the end you get what you pay for but I also hope that reviews are legit! read more

I wish I could give this place a good review but the owner was rude and unaccommodating. I called a day ahead to see the possipility of changing to a room with an extra bed to which she replied it is possible, and that she would figure it out when I got there. I show up and she asks for 30$ extra in cash even though I didn't confirm the extra room. She was rude and there were not a lot of guests so she didn't hold a room and deny someone else availability. She kept telling me to give it to her in cash. She told me to check out at 9:00am even though I got there at 7pm the night before. Then when I said I didn't have 30$ cash and asked why she couldn't charge my card, she insisted I bring cash to her when I checked out. She told me I could checkout at 10:30 am which is earlier than normal hotels. The next morning she called twice before 8am to ask for cash even though she told me I could bring it when I checked out. She then shortly and rudely told me she was charging my card. The room was fine but the service and hospitality was HORRIBLE. Rude, unfriendly and unaccommodating. read more

Booked my stay here a few days ahead of time. After 4-hour drive I arrive on site to get my key and access to my room. It's now late at night and I'm informed that my credit card was declined and they gave my room away. There was no attempt to contact me to verify that they have the correct information. My bank says there was no attempt to process a card. When I asked why they didn't contact me they informed me that not their responsibility and that I would have received a reply from the agency I booked through. I called the phone number that was in my history on my phone and their phone in their lobby started ringing. They were incredibly rude constantly talking over me when I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Ended up having to find another place because of their poor experience. It's not as bad as you'd think. Cascade Lodge Motel is next door neighbor to two motels I'd never stay in. That said, I'm not much of a motel man anyway, and that more than anything else will color my review. Cascade Lodge gets great reviews, and it deserves them. The rooms are clean. Most of the fixtures are new, even if the buildings aren't. The staff is helpful, attentive, and friendly. Noise from the road or from neighboring rooms is minimal. The Queen Suite with a Spa Bath is a nice-sized motel room. There's a living space with a hideaway, a dining area with a small fridge and sink, a small bedroom, and a tiny bathroom with a spa tub. Bedding was better than expected. Sheets were what I'd expect at a nice hotel. The comforter was fluffy and unique, and it is my understanding that each room has a slightly different comforter. There were several pillows of all sizes, so a good night's sleep was no chore. The bathroom toilet was tiny and tucked away in a corner, but the tub was large. The water flowed strong and hot, and there were plenty of good-quality towels. My only significant complaints were a leaky faucet in the bathroom and failure at Fat Tony's Lightbulb Test. The FT Lightbulb Test is a philosophy really: Lightbulbs say a lot about people. If someone doesn't notice that a lightbulb is out or if the lightbulbs come in several different types and colors, they probably don't need to be making my food or washing my sheets, because they're not doing it at the level of detail needed to ensure quality service. The suite had several blue-ish lightbulbs, some traditional lights, some coils, and two lights burned out in the bathroom. One is forgivable, but two? C'mon, you gotta notice that. The blue lights in the kitchen produce an uncomfortable color that the dark walls don't reflect, so it just doesn't do the room justice. Don't go to Cascade Lodge thinking it's a hotel in a motel. It's an old motel that someone has done a great job modernizing and keeping clean. If you're a hotel-goer, you won't be thrilled, but if you need a cheap place to stay in Bend and a hot whirlpool tub, forgive the repetition, it's not as bad as you'd think. And even as a hotel goer, I might even consider staying there again. read more

This establishment needs to get the staff and owners the laws regarding legal service dog laws. The establishment would not accept a valid Delta and American Airline proof of a service animal service and would only accept the dogs with an "ID" which you can purchase bogus card online. As a disabled individual with a trained service animal I was discriminated a room that I paid for online through Booking.com. The American Disability Act is not followed by this establishment. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I wish I would have looked at yelp prior to booking. I got a message that the credit card I booked with was getting declined. I called immediately to give a different card but they would not take it and said I needed to update online. There was no option to do this online so I sent a return message letting them know it would not let me. They replied it was no problem and I could give the different card at check in. I let them know we were driving for hours and would be there late and they ensured me we would have a room. After I arrived with my two kids they told me they cancelled my reservation since I did not pick up their call. Unfortunately I was on the road with no cell reception which was why I called and messaged to get it all squared away to begin with. They never sent an updated message and I never got an email with the cancellation. Horrible experience. The room was nice for the amount we paid. The employees were also super nice and helpful. The only bad things about our stay were that the walls were so thin I could hear every thing next door. And the man next door was also yelling and speaking to himself creepily. When I asked the motel manager to fix it he did tho very fast. The floors in the room are also not even which is a little odd to walk on and part of the wall wasn't painted like they just repaired it and left it like that.
