The second day we were there the smoke detectors went off warn us that they needed batteries. I called the Bennington office and in less than an hour our problem was fixed! Best of all we had to leave early on our last day and I left my bank bag with over $500.00 cash in it beside the bed in the small dresser.When we go home and everything unpacked no money bag.I sent a text that next morning to the housecleaning crew and asked them to check and see if was there. I left them all my information and they called me and said it was there and they put it in the mail for me. I offered them $100.00 to buy some pizzas for the crew and they said they appreciated the offer but couldn't do that. My happiness is all they needed. I had to name the dude, he stares at me the entire time I'm in the room, especially with him over the bed. Heated bathroom floor tiles? Check. Amazing craftsmanship? Check. The kitchen here makes you want to drool. The upstairs has two cute beds built into the wall with cabinets separating them and curtains to pull over. I would have loved those as a kid! The living area is great and the couch/chairs are very comfortable for lounging. The mud room is perfect as we definitely came with weathered bottom halves from the days activities. The garage has a dog door going out back into a fenced off kennel run with a ramp and house. A German Shepherd could fit through just fine. The garage is also loaded with bikes, sports balls, games, skis and an extra fridge. There are TVs in every room, which is great if multiple families are staying here, to keep kids entertained if needed, outside of everything else there is to do. To be honest, we all only watched the Super Bowl 49 and then never turned the TVs on again. Oh and the tub upstairs is huge and magical. The only cons I could mention is the retreat being oddly situated off the road, so some road noise is heard from inside, which is funny to hear when looking out onto nature. Lastly, if the hot water is glacial, check the circuit breakers. They tripped on us and we didn't know the cause. Only took a few hours for the tanks to be warmed up. All-in-all ... This place is gorgeous and I would love to stay here again. The cabin is by a large air field so it is secluded a bit from everything but the road noise. (Though I just wondered how often it's used, it's winter so we've only heard one plan so far). The Village is about 5 minutes away and downtown Bend is 30 minutes. Bachelor Ski Area is also 30 minutes from here and a pretty direct route. Thanks for having us!!!

It was photographed perfectly to imply that we were renting an entire house not a unit. We ended up with a studio that looked like a converted garage. The view of the river was from under the deck from the apartment above. The walls were paper thin and the guests above stomped all night. There was a hot tub. However it was for private use for another unit. The kitchen was disgusting. There was mold in the coffee maker. I though the stove was going to catch the place on fire. We stayed here in August 2014 and it was nice to bring thr dog. However, when expecting a river front home with a hot tub and gourmet kitchen we got a dive motel room. If I knew this is what we were getting I wouldn't have reserved the place.

It was at the tail end of winter, with cold nights and wet days. Rooms have gas fireplaces, with outdoor seating and porches for warmer weather. Checkin was great in the main lodge. They had many friendly employees. There's a bar and restaurant here that I didn't have time to visit! The grounds have paved trails all over, with quick walks or bike rides to restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities. They have a free shuttle that can get you around to places quicker too! My room was gorgeous, with high ceilings, wood, and soft decor. The bathroom was very modern and comfortable. Worth the cost. Another place I really wanted to visit was the indoor heated pool area that looked amazing. Maybe next time! For the event we had catered amazing meals of local produce and meats, so many flavorful items. The event spaces all have a lodge feel to them as well, comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a few days if you're in the area.

The deck is completely fenced and there is a secure potty area next to it just outside the master bedrooms exit door which made it handy for our rambunctious puppy. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and all the furniture was comfortable and in good condition. The master bed was incredibly comfortable and the master bath and shower were in excellent condition. The bike and walking path was just a few steps away and about a 20 minute walk right to Fort rock park, and left to Sharc. There was also a nice supply of board games, and plenty of cable connected TV's, just be sure to log in your own access to premium networks and make sure to log out when you leave. We also had multiple thefts of house hold furnishings, kids sporting equipment and kitchen items. When questioned Vacasa leaders said not our deal. The house was pet free but guests showed up with pets and left crap in the back yard. Again, not their deal and not follow up with the guests. Then we had a group of witches that rented the house and pissed in various places throughout the house and dripped hot wax during their freaky shit. The area manager called me and was upset and said he'd replace all the bedding and have the house cleaned. Unfortunately I had to pressure wash the compost deck for hours to remove all the wax and get things back to normal. Throughout the two years we used Vacasa as our short term rental management company and it was a constant shit-show. I even had to track the renters and the payment system because I was shorted payments and charged for replacement bedding I didn't need. We provided all towels and bedding but were charged for items that were fraudulently billed. We finally removed Vacasa and cut out the madness and dirt-bag who want to trash our property. Avoid Vacasa at all costs or you too will be sorry. This is all fact and not exaggeration unfortunately. Listen to me or learn the hard was.

The agent was rude, condescending and lied about multiple things they said we did. For example, they accused us of having a dog on the premises, even after showing a receipt from a dog kennel 20 miles away! And gave the phone number of the kennel we used. Cascara is fraudulently making false accusations so they can scam people who rent a Sunriver house through them. BEWARE. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!
