I've been here a couple times, first visit was good. Second visit was bad. I had a different stylist but not gonna name her because I don't want to bash her. My cut was very un even, I still had split ends that were very noticeable. I know the employees can't do anything about this but the prices are ridiculous. I've never seen a price difference based on if your hair is long or short and they also only take cash and if you pay card there is a fee which again I know the employees can't do anything about. It was the most expensive hair cut I've had ($70 including tip for a cut with no blow dry or style my hair was left wet and I had to pay more to get it dried) and was probably the worst one I got. Went in for a 30-minute massage. Was not informed of add-on charges for different massage modalities. In addition, none of these so called "ala carte" services are listed on the website or booking portal. There is no way to know what is considered an "ala carte" service or the price. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's also very easy to book an appointment online. I think the prices are fairly average for area salons. My one complaint is twice now, mine and my daughter's hair ended up being shorter than we originally planned. However, I would say minor complaint since it will grow back. read more

so not only did I get black gel and you could see right through it because they did not add enoguh layers... but none of the dead skin or hang nails were cut off nor were my nails filed evenly. The nail polish does not even completely cover my nails for god sakes. I feel bad because everyone there is so nice and im sure they are great at hair but they should NOT be allowed to do nails. TERRIBLE. I am not a complainer. I work in the service industry so I understand rude customers. So I never do this, but I feel that it needs to be said. I started going here because of the location convenience but have never had a good experience. All the hair dressers will pick you apart and subliminally tell you how awful your hair looks. I finally had a good experience with Stephanie. When I made an appointment for a hair color (my first experience EVER) with her, I was upset when she was not there. I had another girl who told me she wouldn't die my hair, wouldn't give me ombre like I had asked, and instead gave me a semi permanent "clear" coat for my hair. $70 later, I was not a happy camper. Again, I don't complain so I was very quiet but I am thoroughly ill-impressed and will never be back again. To top it all off, I'm having a reaction to the "clear coat" and my neck and scalp are firey-red. I know that's not their fault, but if that's not a red flag, I don't know what is.. read more

Disappointed- have been getting my eyebrows done here for awhile but got my nails done - shellac last week and they are already chipping Getting your nails done is never cheap but I get shellac so they last longer- in the past with other nail salons they always do- everyone was very nice and I even gave a 10 dollar tip being impressed at the time, then got a haircut asked for a trim about a half inch and had at least an inch and a half taken off. Hair Care: Excellent, albeit on one visit. Customer Care: Horrific. Very strange. The first time I went there, I was assigned to Jessica. Jessica was very competent and did an excellent Job on my hair, taking her time, dotting every I and crossing every T. She listened to my Wishes and fulfilled them and more. She was a bit pushy, though: She's one of a growing number of people who, instead of politely asking someone to do something, chooses instead to preface things with "I need you to..." which is of course a passive-aggressive way of turning a request into an order. Pretty lame. I make it a policy not to get into philosophical Arguments with people hovering around my head with sharp, pointy objects, so I didn't call'er on it, but I did make a mental note that this would be our first and last Hair Cut. I'm sure that many are rolling their eyes at me, and I certainly don't deny that I am old fashioned. But I do not presume to give others Orders, and I require the same fundamental Courtesy of them. However, I will reiterate, in all Fairness: For those who want a good HairCut, and don't give a Rat's Ass about Courtesy, I would strongly recommend Jessica. It was just one HairCut, mind you, but you can tell when somebody knows their Business, and she surely does. Above all, the fact that ~ pushy or not ~ she listened carefully to my Wishes, listened also to her CoWorker's Opinions, and executed at a high level was very impressive. The CoWorker in question was Karin ~ soft I, accent on the 2nd, as I understand it ~ who I found very engaging and very helpful in translating my male gibberish into Information that Jessica could actually use. For all I know, Karin, too, may engage in that obnoxious "I need you to..." business, but there's always that Chance. My Radar strongly suggested to me that a HairCut with her would be both pleasant and successful. Alas, this is where my initially positive Impression slides rapidly into the Abyss. When I called to make an Appointment with Karin, I was told by Teri, who identified herself as the Proprietor, that Karin was on Vacation, but she'd be happy to set something up for when she got back. I work the Night Shift, so I requested the earliest Appointment possible. Teri told me that Karin came in at 0900 but the earliest that she could be available would be 0930. That half hour lapse seemed strange and a little irritating to me, and in light of subsequent events, I suspect that Karin is very much available at 0900 on some days, but that, despite my explicit request, Teri just kind of shoved me in there at the first available slot. Yes. Not a very nice thing to say, but here it is: We set something up for 0930 on 08/06/16, a Saturday. I called back a few days later, because I, being something of a Dumb Ass, managed to forget what day it'd been for. The girl who answered the phone ~ not Teri, but I didn't get'er name ~ confirmed the Date...but then told me that my Appointment was with somebody else, not Karin. That...is a certifiable WTF moment. How in Hell do you get that wrong, that simple task of writing the Appointment down next to the correct name?? So we corrected the Appointment: Karin's Appointment. All righty, then. The fateful day comes...And when I walk in at 0930...Karin's elbow-deep in a Perm. The lady's still in Curlers. Karin acknowledged me and said that it'd be 10 minutes. The Receptionist informed me that I could wait or that someone else could take care of me. I managed to keep my Temper. I told them to hold the Appointment, went next door to buy some lovely Rot Gut Whiskey, and thought it over...and decided that my first thought was the correct one. I left. I don't expect the World to revolve around me. And I know that they have a Business to run. But here we have a situation where I'd gone out of my way for their benefit and convenience... And'd been thanked by their telling me that, evidently, they expected me to honor MY end of an Appointment, but had absolutely no problem breaking their Promise to ME. I don't know about you, but I found that offensive, insulting, and disgusting. I understand that Appointments run over. But that was part of why I made such a crystal clear point of requesting the FIRST Appointment of Karin's day. Teri ~ or possibly an errant schedule editor ~ did such a bad job of the simple task of assigning me to the correct person in the first place ~ despite clearly understanding who I was asking for, as indicated by her telling me that Karin was on her Vacation ~ that it now seems very likely that Karin WAS available at 0900, but just not that particular day. Another day would've been perfectly fine: I didn't ask for any specific day. My only requests were that it be Karin, and that it be as early as possible. As I value things, I gave them an F. But to reiterate: Excellent Hair Cutting. Karin? If you ever leave that place, please give a Call. If your new Salon is in my area, I'll look you up. read more

I've been going to A Nu Du for about a year. Every 4 to 6 weeks I need a color and every other appointment I get a cut & style. The ladies there are very friendly and professional. Who would think that you could find such an awesome hair salon in a small farm town in Lee, NH! I've been a customer for over a year and every time I visit I leave with a happy smile on my face. You always feel appreciated, listened to and understood with a five minute consult before anything happens in the chair. I've received the best haircuts at very fair prices. Your appointment time is honored and you always leave a satisfied customer. Terri the owner is a true professional and her staff are just as competent, friendly and talented. They accept walk-ins but would prefer that you make appointments, with business friendly hours as well. I can't say enough good things about this shop and I'm so happy to not have to drive to Portsmouth for a great haircut or even just a trim if I need one to keep my short hair looking groomed. Supporting our local businesses is important and the convenience factor is enormous. I often combine my haircuts with a shopping expedition at the Market Basket which is right next store. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. A third time - I must be brain damaged. 3 haircuts. All bad. After the first one, I was very clear not to cut my cowlic too short. Bang! Cut it right down. The 3d time - another stylist... "I have a cowlic. Please don't cut that. It's the correct length. Her next statement... "I just cut it off. It looks better that way." Really? Who's paying whom? Then, my wife looked on their web site and called this morning to confirm pricing for my mother to go in. When the prices were about 10% different than seen on their web site, Nicole got rude and hung up on her when my wife simply asked them to inform their web-master that the pricing needed to be updated. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE ANUDU!! I've been going to ANUDU for 3 years now for color, cut, facials, etc... and I have never been disappointed. Everyone there is so nice - you wonder what's in the water. I believe that they are more than fair with the pricing and the quality is awesome!
