I had been having some pretty terrible pain around my spine and shoulders for quite some time so I decided to get a massage. After reading really positive reviews, I decided to make an appointment at Inner Truth Massage while visiting NH for the weekend. Prior to my massage, Jamie took the time to talk to me about the pain that I had been experiencing. She made sure I was totally comfortable at all times before, during, and after my appointment. Jamie was focused on trying to get to where the pain was coming from and relieving it through deep tissue massage. She did such a great job and really worked hard to relieve the tightness. I did in fact feel really sore by the end of the day but I feel great now and am much less sore (writing this the day after). I'm not from NH but if I was I would certainly go back to Inner Truth Massage on a regular basis if I was. Having this massage makes me realize how important it is to go on a more regular basis so that muscle tightness and pain like this can be relieved much quicker. This was one of the BEST massages that my husband and I have EVER had! We were vacationing in the area for a few days after Easter and I called last minute to book our couples massage. Jamie and Lisa reworked their schedule in order to fit us in! They were SO accommodating and friendly. They really cared about our experience and made sure to ask specifics on what areas we wanted to be the focus. BOTH of our massages were absolutely incredible. I have NO complaints. They did exactly what we asked and were so lovely to be with. My husband is extremely ticklish, which has been issues in the past because people don't know how to massage him without tickling him, but he said it was PERFECT! Also, I have plantar fasciitis in my feet and was worried if they would hurt, but she did my feet and they have literally never felt more relieved. If we ever visit the area again we DEFINITELY be back! We literally walked out and couldn't stop talking about how incredible it was for HOURS. No joke. And we are both VERY picky when it comes to massages. Also, the building is SO cool! It's old but renovated and so unique and gorgeous, which made the atmosphere amazing. Loved it! read more

12/28/29 this is my second time getting a massage from inner truth. The 1st one was maybe 18 months ago in the old location. I love the new location in my opinion the new space is perfect. I live downtown and would rather drive the 7-9 mins for this spacious calming atmosphere. I called to book a 60 min massage yesterday in the late afternoon hoping I could find a time slot available for the following a morning. To my relief they did have a spot for me, the staff i the with over the phone where incredibly friendly, informative, plus competent about all questions I brought up and actually recommended Deb was amazing !! An hour long Ashiatsu massage. At first I was a little reluctant to get one as I had some preordained idea in my head of what it actually was. But I was wrong. She was able to release everything in my back and quads. I've never felt so good after a therapeutic massage ! read more

RUN...don't walk...to Inner Truth Massage. My husband and I live and work in Boston and for all the so called fabulous spas we have here, I would trade them all for one Inner Truth. We need more places like this in Boston. Less "commercial" and modern, and more quaint and serene. I felt like I was in the comfort of my own home. Treatment room is so spacious and homey. We booked a couples massage for NYE with Kelly and Amy. What a way to end one year and kick off the next. They were both absolutely wonderful. Listened to our needs and were very intuitive to what we needed from our massages. We never wanted them to end! Given the choice, I would drive the hour to Portsmouth to re-visit Inner Truth before stepping foot in a Boston spa again. And you know what, I will! You will not regret a massage at Inner Truth. Traveling on business from Seattle. I have my regular therapist, I see monthly and am typically vary of travel massage excursions but the flight over was brutal and I needed to work out the kinks before a 3 day meeting. I had Amy as my therapist and she was spectacular. She found the usual hot spots from travel and really worked out those kinks. I got my little snores in with the relaxation. There was nice warm neck pillow, eye mask, hot towel , heated bed. The room is nice and cozy with a beautiful chandelier, nice temp, relaxing aromas. They really book up and I was lucky to find a spot. I highly recommend booking early and online. I am definitely returning here the next visit . This is truly a hidden gem , nicely tucked away in a quiet alley off congress st. The rates are very reasonable and the therapist, Amy is just amazing. Highly recommended. read more

My wife made an appointment for a couples massage here. We have had them together many times so I was looking forward to finding a new place as we just moved here. Parking was easy to find. The office is in a beautiful historic building downtown. Jaime and Rebecca took a few minutes to speak with us first over expectations; if any area needed extra time, or if there were concerns of areas with previous injuries. They were professional and respectful of the things we voiced and Rebecca was especially careful of my shoulder which I have had prior surgeries. We will definitely be going again soon. My only "complaint" is that I wish there was a place to nap nearby, because I was so relaxed when we left, all I could think about was going home and stretching out on the couch (which I did). I live 10 minutes from Inner Truth and did not about it - until my physical therapist suggested it for me a week post shoulder surgery as my sling was hurting my back so badly I had to do something. I called on Friday and they got me in Saturday morning. When I booked over the phone we discussed my concerns and I was confident that my delicate shoulder would be protected while my aching back addressed. And that is precisely what happened. All while receiving the absolute best massage I ever had. Melissa was my massage therapist who just totally understood what I needed. I still have to wear the sling so I will be booking again when it comes off, for sure. The place itself was beautiful and clean and both Tamara and Melissa were super pleasant. Very impressed. I love everything about Inner Truth! Tamar and her staff give a top notch massage! To quote my friend, " Now that was a real massage!" In addition to their skills and techniques they are warm and welcoming. I feel like I am part of the IT family now. Scheduling is easy which I usually do online, but I have called or emailed. Tamar is very flexible and quick to accommodate. Tamar usually runs a special that has a special price. I just received the spring special of exfoliation then massage with delightful lemon grass aromatherapy. The setting is lovely. Who would think that a Victorian downtown building could hold such a sacred space. The ceilings are tall and the large chandelier adds to the ambiance. You will not be disappointed! Tamar & her staff @Inner Truth Massage are so accommodating, easy to work with and excellent in their craft! My husband tagged along with me for a business meeting in the area and he had a few hours to kill so he wanted to book a massage. I called tons of area spas & massage therapists with no luck until I got a call from Tamar, not only could she fit him in for a two hour but the timing was perfect!! She also went above & beyond and discounted the rate for him!! He was lucky to receive treatment from Melissa & he couldn't say enough good things! Melissa is an expert therapist. She makes accommodations for my comfort that allow me to stay laying for a phenomenal 2 hour massage. I have had significant progress over the years I have had her work on me. Initially, she could hardly apply pressure and now she can really pinpoint my trigger points and work each one vigorously. I have chronic back pain and often deal with knots and muscle spasms. Melissa is the only therapist that has me walk out of the therapy room feeling no pain. I followed her to Inner Truth from her prior location and I would follow her anywhere. I hate to reveal her secret powers of healing but i know many people could benefit from her care. read more

Second massage with Jaime was just as wonderful as the first. She has a very intuitive sense for applying pressure and tailors her approach to target your specific tension zones. For me, this is practically everywhere :( Which, I suppose, gives me the luxury of rolling dice to determine what to tackle. Today's focal points were thighs and forearms and I couldn't be happier with the results. Apart from the disappearance of my aches and pains, it's amazing how much easier it is to take a deep breath after a session. The whole experience is completely restorative. The setting Is extremely peaceful and serene with soft music and soft lighting. Tamara always greets you with a lovely smile and takes the time to find out if you have any particular issues you'd like for her to work on. I love massage, but don't get one as often as I would like. So when I do I want to fully enjoy it. I always book with Amy and she is wonderful. First she is super nice, kind and get me comfortable. Then she has great technique and skills, I feel very relaxed, and don't have bad pain, there is no bad movement.
