I also love that she doesn't turn each cut into a nosy gab session like so many do. The salon itself has a cool, chic vibe that smells "normal"--NEVER like hair processing factory! Her staff is equally well-trained, talented and always friendly yet extremely professional. I personally don't get my hair colored there but I know other clients there that swear by their wonderful, consistent results. While I was in for my appointment everyone was very friendly and it seemed like a genuinely nice place. Looking back this is probably so I'd spend my money before the rude treatment I received after I stepped out of the door. Not only was my hair what I very specifically said I did NOT want, what I ended up with looked so bad I had to get it redone a few days layers. Another few hundred dollars down the drain. They also refused to cover a second appointment to fix what even the stylist said was "incomplete". I called in reference to my appointment a few days later and was shocked when they put me on hold, and I guess they forgot to press the button, I heard them say rude things about me and how I asked them to fix my hair. I was nothing but nice to them and they did not return an ounce of my kindness. I've never left a negative review like this before but I was shocked at how I was treated here. In my advice, stay far away.

However, I had to cancel my appointment because I was actively vomiting and had a fever. I contacted the salon because I genuinely could not come in and also did not feel it would be responsible to expose the nail tech or other clients to an illness. Despite explaining the situation, I was charged the full amount of the service and was told they would not make an exception. I even would have understood being offered a credit toward a future appointment, since I fully intended to return once I was feeling better, but that was not an option either. I understand that this may be their policy, but I think potential clients should be aware that, in my experience, the policy was enforced at 100% even in the case of sudden illness with vomiting and a fever. I'm disappointed there wasn't any flexibility or consideration given to the circumstances. When I was there last time they were talking about how they don't close for snow and then they charge people if they don't show up to the spot. Also all they do is talk about their coworkers behind their back. Very unprofessional mean girls.
