She always listens to what I want, doesn't pressure me into doing more, and I always feel great when I leave her chair. Riannon works the same days as any other salon I've been to, and is there late, so I am able to get an appointment after work. She did my hair and makeup, along with my mom's, sister's and friend's hair for my wedding. She made it a fun experience and we all left feeling beautiful. My mom started as a client of Riannon's shortly after and tells me how much she loves her every time she goes to get her hair done. Riannon is also very generous, always willing to donate an auction prize to support children with autism and their families. I have recommended Sugarz, and Riannon several people and they have all thanked me. I will continue to recommend her to anyone looking for a great haircut from an awesome person!

Now in her own space at Alainn, she's created such a lovely, warm and welcoming place to come and be pampered. I always get there early and relax for a few minutes in the waiting area with a cup tea. Her services are reasonably priced and she always goes above and beyond to make it well worth the cost. She's thorough and informative and clearly has a vested interest in her clients' overall well-being beyond just the work that she does. She has helped me learn how to better care for my own skin and is always willing to give tips and tricks so even if you can't go regularly you can take away the tools to pamper your skin at home! I live in LA and wait for months to have the chance to come home, visit my family, and go see Meghan! And it's always well worth the wait!!

But my moustache was beginning to look like Fu Man Chu, so I realized that I really needed to get it waxed. She did my brows and got rid of a couple of growths that just spontaneously like to sprout on my face (I could never be a man). I've only gotten my moustache waxed about 4 times in my lifetime and can't say it's fun, but I will credit Meghan with doing everything possible to stem the pain. Meghan is cordial, efficient, has a sense of humor, and she is a perfectionist. My lip broke out afterwards, but, apparently, this is common. The bumps did go away within a week or so. I do feel cleaner, and it actually enhanced my features, giving me a smooth look. I rarely wear makeup but my lipstick did look better. I'll be going back routinely.

I trusted them and was having them color my hair until I started to feel have irritating symptoms which became severe. They still said product was safe but to try the demi color. Again, severe reaction. I requested the ingredients which they sent me the papers and instructions that came with each box of formula. It is far from safe! Has toxic levels above what OSHA approves as safe and some toxic levels are not even known. I was also having severe hair loss which I and them attributed to age. The papers said hair loss is a possible side effect of use. I have not gone to have my hair colored for 20 weeks and my hair is getting thicker by the day so please don't take my word for it just ask to see the ingredients for yourself and be mindful of hair loss! Super disappointed with our first visit here today. I brought my two daughters in for a haircut…read moreafter reading great reviews about the salon online and I was under the impression this always a "family" hair salon. I was welcome by the stylist with whom we had an appointment and was asked how I'd like their hair cut. I was so specific that I provided pictures and was told numerous times, "no you don't want that, how about this?" Why bother asking? Finally after giving in to the uppity and overly suggestive stylist, my first girl was sent in with her mask. This woman comes out yet again asking how I want her bangs....!!? Then it came time for my 3 year old to go in. I was reluctant about sending my 3 year in alone with a mask but I was proud that she went brave and willingly. I did not opt for the shampoo and blow dry as she wouldn't have done that alone and without me. I gave the stylist the instructions for the haircut yet again and within 5 minutes she came out stating, "she can't do it" because she wouldn't sit still and her mask was falling off and it "wasn't fair for the other people inside." Are you kidding!? She then proceeded to do her haircut outside. I realize these are post-pandemic times right now but maybe if a 3 year old that is forced to wear a mask and be sent in alone without her mother is too much, you shouldn't be excepting appointments for toddlers during these times. Her hair was barely even cut to the point I'm going to have to take her elsewhere to finish it. When it came time to check out I was charged the same price for my toddler as I was my older daughter who received a shampoo, cut and blow dry. Are you kidding. She tried to charge me $25 each how are they the same price!? At least I got one cut for the price of 2. Sorry to all the other clients that had their haircuts ruined by my wiggly toddler.

It's really important to separate the salon from the stylist when rating. I'm going to break this…read moreup into the two parts I think matter: First, and most important, stylist: Hannah is a real professional who genuinely cares about her clients and her work. I am not a good selfie taker, esp when I can't see what I'm doing, but I think you can at least appreciate the placement of the color. I asked for blunt ends with high-contrast and I'm extremely happy with the outcome. While I've just started going to Hannah in January 2022, I don't see myself going anywhere else. Salon: It's a small space, cute interior, metered parking, and a little hard to find because it's actually in the basement on a corner so be sure to ask for landmarks (I already forgot them, but i recognize them when I'm there). Hannah has much better pictures in better lighting on her instagram so I recommend you google and find her, or whoever it is you would like to work with. :)
