This was my first experience with lash extensions. After doing much online research, I chose Lashbar primarily because the two owners are also registered nurses, in addition to having great reviews. After a couple of days, I'm still extremely pleased and impressed with the results. My own eyelashes are ridiculously fine and pale, and Stephanie told me that they would not support the weight of the "extreme" type of extensions, so I was prepared for a subtle improvement only, and hoping to possibly build up to more. But guess what? These are fabulous! My lashes look so lush and so real that I don't even need mascara or eyeliner, things I never would have left the house without. An added bonus is the extensions actually make my eyes look more open once again, taking a few years off my appearance. I highly recommend Lashbar. My first time going to the Lashbar in Portsmouth and let me start by saying... Tatum. That girl is a truly sweet & talented, lash angel! I never expected a lash lift could be 'relaxing' but she was SO gentle, careful, and thorough. Everything felt soft and comfortable and not aggravating (as some other experiences I have had at other places.) I am more of a 'natural' make up style girl myself, and I am SO happy with my services! I got a lash lift/tint & brow wax/tint and as a dark blonde - it can be difficult to totally nail my tint shade with out looking a little stark. Tatum absolutely nailed it. She cares about your end result and pays attention to all of the details, and I am so grateful to have had such a good experience! I love going to Lashbar! I have gotten my eyebrows done and my lashes done for over half a year now. It is always clean and organized there which is so amazing. All of the lash ladies are so kind and customize your lashes to your eye shape as well as how you want it! The brow waxing is super gentle and I got perfect brows from it! At Lashbar they are also very accommodating with peoples schedules and try to make it work! They are also very inclusive with pricing as if you are starting off slow and don't want to pay that much you don't have to. I have never had lash extensions before. I went to lash bar to see Stephanie because someone highly recommended her. I had a full set of classic lashes done and absolutely love them. After a little over a week I did have some issues only on one eye (lashes coming off) and went in to have Stephanie look at them. She fixed them with no questions and was super awesome about giving advice to help their retention period. I have very light lashes that are difficult to work with. Lashbar offers so many great services but I recently went in for one of their peels. I saw there instagram stories and posts and decided in the cold months this was the best investment for my skin. I have had lash extensions for almost 2 years and I love going to LashBar. All of the lash girls are highly qualified and talented so even though they work based on a level system (how long they have been doing lashes) a level 4 (the highest level) stylist will always check the work to make sure you don't leave the salon with lashes that aren't perfect. Saw some rude lady named Kimberly Stout, she bragged to have all these credentials, found out she worked for a hair balding company before this. I can never grow eyelashes back again. I was apprehensive to get lashes with the fear my natural would be damaged but the way they apply the lash and how they talk to you about care for them allowed me to have them for many months and while I decided to let them naturally fall out with my lash growth, my natural lashes are just as they were before-no damage! read more
