I had stopped by while on vacation because the reviews where good. The restaurant had a nice setting and patio. I had ordered some items to go. The bartender was also very nice and friendly. HOWEVER, the Pesto Cream Cheese Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms was missing from the bag. The other items where OK and not that special. My wife and I have been going to A.K.A. Kitchen off and on for about 3 years. Great place to eat, great rotating menu, warm friendly service, easy parking, patio with fire pit when the weather allows, nightly specials. 2 years ago I had the Friday prime rib special. Delicious! I went in last week and ordered it again and the chef remembered that I like the end cut because it has all the seasoning on it and it's not rare. Two years later! Our waitress Ivy was the kind of waitress who adds to the whole flavor of the evening. Genuinely warm, friendly and attentive. Bella the bartender, delivered our drinks to our table and paused to chat, also in a genuine and friendly manner. Emily, who was not serving us came over to tell us that she remembered our past visits and how my wife liked her wine, with a slice of Jalapeño in it. While I devoured my prime rib end cut my wife had a couple of the appetizers, the Brussel sprouts with bacon and the Mexican style roasted corn which she devoured with relish. For desert we ordered the apple cinnamon roll which was the size of a dinner plate and delicious. All the portions were very generous, so some prime ribs, Brussel sprouts and apple cinnamon roll all came home with us. Going back real soon! read more

AKA has become our new preferred local hangout. Pre COVID it was difficult enough to find a place w/a balanced combo of cozy outdoor seating w/good ambiance and excellent food. Now it has become an essential purpose When dining out and AKA has it all (even a warm outdoor fire pit)! The Happy Hour drink prices (house margaritas are the best!) along with the locally sourced ingredients for their dishes makes AKA a stand out amongst the other restaurants in town. Everything from their appetizer carne asada fries to their delicious burger with bacon jam are DELICIOUS and never disappoint! The staff has never been anything but warm, welcoming and friendly. It's always a sign of great customer service when you are recognized and remembered by your server when visiting an establishment. Eddie has been our server many times, always serving us with his humor and hospitality. We can't thank him enough for making our Friday Fiesta nights all that more memorable and fun! Wow! Loveland needed a new place to get a great breakfast, we haven't tried any other time of day yet- but we will be back for sure! The cocktails were great (don't you judge me ) the menu is adventurous for some items and has classic staples. The staff is wonderful and the cinnamon rolls are a must try- they are baked to order in a skillet! The husband has a pho braised brisket sandwich it was incredible. I hope it makes the cut for the summer menu .. also we LOVE that they have a rotating menu. While I'm a creature of habit- my hubby always likes to try what's new. A.K.A's menu is a happy balance for both of us! And, it seems like a lot of our favorite staffers from the former Egg & I have found their home here too! yay!! We missed them! read more

Food was ok, we got a gnocci plate without the chicken we asked for, and it took until everyone else was done to get the chicken, but then we had realized the gnocci was sitting in -literally- a half cup of oil, which would drip off the food when it was picked up. So the server "went halfsies" (her words) with us since we had eaten a little of the pasta, and comped half of it lol. Never in my lifetime have we had that happen! I mean come on, can you just not comp the plate of food that you messed up on, and the chicken that didn't come until everyone else had eaten? Poor customer service! We won't be back. We stopped in after hearing about this place from a friend and we were super impressed. We sat out by the fire and had some beers (all good) and the margarita of the day (which was amazing). My friend and I stopped in this restaurant after hiking in Loveland. We really wanted lunch, but there was nothing on the menu for those of us who don't eat meat. The wait staff was very helpful, and asked the chef if he could make the breakfast Mexican dish without meat. It was delicious and a lot to eat. I probably won't return since the menu is not geared to vegetarian, but for those who eat meat; go for it! read more

These pretentious snots mask themselves as doing you a favor for you spending your money. Their beer is terrible, food is okay but lacks enthusiasm and has arrived cold. ( yes we have tried it 4 times) But the people who wait on you aren't servers as it's laughable how they try to exert their power for them to seat you where they want.... By far the best breakfast in NoCo. I ordered the corned beef skillet and it did not disappoint. I grew up on corned beef mash or skillets as a kid and this corned beef was the best tasting, moist, perfectly seasoned I've ever tasted. They were celebrating their 3rd anniversary and the entire staff was wearing festive party gear which was adorable. The band outside - Poudre Valley Playboys - was AMAZING as well. I like the outdoor seating and the efficiency of the staff in making sure everything is just right. The food is excellent, but I wish there were more vegetarian entrees. When I asked about substituting the meat on an egg dish I was told it was not possible. All I wanted was extra hashbrowns, no new item. read more

After stopping by here a couple Saturday's ago, I had initially questioned why we stopped going in the first place! It was early enough before the afternoon and there weren't many people in the place or even on the patio, and I had a few hours before having to go to work later that day. Quickly, I remembered why we stopped coming here. The Good: When they first opened, my friends and I had visited quite frequently. There were great specials (my favorite was the brunch skillet), the decor- everything down to the plating and unique interior is something to enjoy, and the service was good! However I believe the first couple times we had gone it was the manager serving us and typically on weekdays when we were the only ones in there. I've had the most amazing lemon ricotta pancakes and skillets, plus bottomless mimosas on weekends. The patio is adorable and great year round, the bar is unique, and lots of drinks to choose from! The Bad: Our waitress this day was either in the weeds, or simply kept forgetting about us (which I believe the latter to be true, considering I only saw her in our area, and as I previously mentioned, it wasn't that busy). I started getting worried when our food was taking over 45 min. with no check in (not even for one coffee refill). The food, although great presentation and taste, is quite expensive for not much (I.e. I ordered biscuits and gravy but nothing comes with it, any additional side starts at $2 and the plate itself was already $10, maybe our usual brunch spot has been spoiling me with heaping portions and sides for less?). When we finally did get our food, the guest I was with had received the huevos rancheros with a small portion of undercooked or hardly cooked at all hash browns. At this point in time we were going on an hour plus and had asked for to-go boxes (as we had already paid our tab in advance because of the time it was taking for our food). Another ten or so minutes passed and we had to ask the wait staff for to-go boxes as our waitress forgot, again. Rather than asking us if everything was okay or if we'd like a refill on coffee to go, anything really, our waitress said she hoped our "day got better" and ran off, which I thought peculiar being that we weren't upset, and in fact, as someone who worked in the food industry most of her life, I reasoned that they may have been understaffed and/or had something happen that was making the process longer. Overall the choices are limited and the prices higher, with the poor service on top, I remembered why we started going elsewhere more frequently for our outings. Again, potentially an off day, but if I'm going to treat myself it will be where there is more reliable service, options, and portions. read more

It was just alright. My medium burger was raw in the middle and when I asked them to cook it more, they must have put it in the microwave as the plate it was on was really hot. Didn't even bother rebuilding my burger neither and just put back on what was on there originally (which the bun was now soggy and veggies mush). My gf's pizza was average at best as well....it just looked unappetizing. The server was great, not her fault for the food, but I don't know if I'll go back. read more
