Had 2 medical massages here and it was a joke. First guy was really kind, professional and gave a good massage but used knuckles and forearms which I'm just not a fan of, but it's been challenging finding a good fit so I scheduled a bunch more massages. Reception told me one other lady, Reonna roberts, was accepting OHP so I scheduled with her the next day because my back hurts and I need the therapy. Long story short she was totally disrespectful about my preference to stay on my stomach. I explained why, told her I self massage my own pecks daily, told her I have had bad experiences face up massages... She listens to all of this then goes off for a few minutes about how she ALWAYS starts people off face up (lol), and how it "won't work" if she doesn't, that she's never had a complaint. I told her that technique (using the weight of your head for neck work) sounded good and cheerfully agreed to start face up...then she pulls weirdo attitude and says she doesn't want to do anything to make me uncomfortable and we can just do it my way. Ok? So what was her whole little speech about? Then she says if anything is off just say something, I responded that I'm vocal and would let her know and she responded "yeah so you're not just laying there thinking what is this bullshit", and then quickly sashays out of the room before I could even respond because NO, I don't think that at all. It's like she had already made her mind up about me but then still went ahead. My "medical massage" starts 15 min late, and 30 min in I said how awesome the massage was and asked her what days she worked she informed me she wouldn't be giving me another massage lol. I was taken back because I told her I wanted to try her faceup method and was enjoying the massage and told her I didn't understand. She said it's not a good fit, that she has been doing this long enough she has regular clients and doesn't need to change her method for anyone. WTF? She is one of only 2 therapists accepting OHP there and should NOT be offering medical massage if she's this petty and disrespectful of people's boundaries. I stopped the massage right there and complained to managment about it because it was extremely rude and unprofessional. If it was a bad fit, what was she doing touching me in the first place??? She was a full on creep for treating me like that because of a personal preference like not having MY FING CHEST MASSAGED...thanks a lot, "healing space". I told the manager the literal halfass 30 min massage better not show up on my insurance. The creepy thing is I went to write the owner a letter with my copy of all the appointments I canceled and it turns out he's been accused of sexual assault and allegedly ruined some poor ladies business who rented space from him. I looked up "owner of healing space" and it was even in the news. I'm really horrified by this and refuse to support a business where people are disrespected and their personal preferences and boundaries are not only questioned but totally disregarded. Reonna roberts acted passive aggressive, condescending, cold, and totally dismissive, but I'm eternally grateful because had I known about her boss I never would have stepped in that place to begin with. read more

I love this place. The atmosphere is incredible with all the live plants and the crystals and the earthy decor. It's like sustainability meets Japanese design. I have been coming here since I found this place on Google in 2019. It's neat how they have one business with chiropractors and massage therapists and then a ton of other renters that do their own independent thing. I considered renting an office here for a while honestly. My Therapist is in this building, and apparently there are a couple others that also rent space. I used to get neural feedback sessions here too... wish she would move back. Lol. I have also seen Jenna Pearce for Massage as well as a couple of the massage therapists that actually work for A Healing Space it's self. Dina is amazing, but you have to book a head of time... she is always booked out like a month ahead. Reonna is great too! I was so set in seeing Dina and Michael when he was there I hadn't booked with her yet. She is really passionate about healing and good at what she does. Sharon Rose not only does massage but microcurrent which was not something I had heard of until I came here . It helps reset your nervous system , plus she makes all these cool things . She sells cards as well as spritzers and tinctures, all avaliable at the front desk. Dr Kirsten is really sweet and she knows how to adjust you without overtaxing your system. Lol some chiropractors we'll just go for that adjustment not thinking about how you're going to recover. She is too attentive for that. I don't know, stop by have some therapy book a tattoo get your spine aligned and grab a birthday card for your friend on the way out . It's not for everybody, but not everyone can vibe. read more

Do not see someone named Julie Bowman-had a massage and developed a rash in my skin. I read another review after the fact and wish I'd never gone here. The person I wanted to see wasn't available and she was a last resort-it's no wonder she doesn't have many clients as she seemed weak and slow, with a really weird manner. I am skeptical of her credentials, and will never go back to this person. read more

I had to update my previous review. My friend and healer left the area. I was sad. A Healing Space is just that....healing. Beautiful inside, and very calming. The receptionist is not only beautiful, but kind and friendly, and massage therapists that are great...actually great. I had a 60-min massage, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My massage therapist was excellent at what he does. The problem that led me to take 2 stars away from this review is the fact that when my massage (the last 10ish minutes of which was spent face up) was finished and I opened my eyes, I saw that the therapist had his mask pulled down to his chin. The fact that he was breathing all over my face (yes I did have my mask on, but he was still very close to me) is highly concerning. I don't know what this business's mask policy is but logically you'd want to keep it on if your face is going to be a foot away from someone else's face. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning to this place. read more

Do not see someone named Julie Bowman, who I've learned is not a massage therapist employed here. I had nerve pain after a too vigorous massage for TOS problems. I dealt with nerve compression pain and wanted to improve circulation, but this person didn't have the skill nor the knowledge. She also was WAY too talkative about her problems, seemed too confident for what she brought to the table (which was nothing) so to speak, and whined that she didn't make any money, couldn't afford her insurance, how her husband had low testosterone problems, that she couldn't lose weight (she was heavy) no matter how hard she tried, etc...I told her these aren't my problems and I wasn't interested in her that way (at one point I felt she was coming on to me and I told I have a wife). She was a cheaper option to better therapists, but you get what you pay for and this was the worst. I see she doesn't have many reviews (no wonder) and this was a waste. She rents this space out and doesn't work here. She was trying to come on to me, I told her I wasn't interested and wasn't interested in her life problems. I know the place might need money in rent, yet letting people act strange whilst creating more nerve damage with erratic pressure along pectorals is bad practice. read more

A peaceful place. Atmosphere was calming. Massage with Dina was tranquil, just the right amount of pressure. She took care to avoid an injury that was still sore and gave extra attention in places that needed it. Definitely going to make another appointment soon. Only downside was that I could hear people walking past the room. Thankfully it was often but perhaps people could be encouraged to walk gently. read more

I'm sitting in the reception area waiting for my massage. I came to this place after having trouble booking at another spa. Booking an appointment here was easy, but 5 Min after my appointment was supposed to begin the receptionist told me my masseuse was busy with a client that couldn't leave. She asked if I minded waiting another 25 minutes for another masseuse to become available. It's not the end of the world but I don't enjoy waiting around a sitting area with nothing to do. Gervais is more commercial but they've been the best equipped spa around so far. read more

What an amazing space!! They have a koi and goldfish pond inside! The ambiance and space alone is worth coming to check out but while you're there, grab a massage from Michael Jordan as well! I stopped by today for a 90 minute deep tissue massage and I can't express enough how amazing I felt afterwards. Michael was able to locate and release many knots that I had been storing. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I went here a few months ago and can't stop thinking about it! I got my massage done by Sydney and highly recommend her, she worked magic! I walked out of there feeling GREAT and my back was pain free for almost a week! With me that NEVER happens. I couldn't find the place because of the construction (it made the streets surrounding A Healing Space one way) so I had to drive around for quite a while but I planned for that so I was still early, but be warned....you could get hooked on their massages! :D read more

My husband and I are both regular patients of Dr. Adam and we LOVE everything about this place. Since we've been seeing Dr. Adam and the masseuses that work with him, we've both seen major improvements in our overall health: physical pain, posture, energy level, all of it. We started going for my migraines and his lower back pain, and not only have those issues been drastically improved, but we've been able to identify and make changes to unhealthy habits we never even thought of before. We're a young couple wanting to develop healthy habits and learn how to take care of our bodies, and we're making so much progress with their help. I absolutely love A Healing Space. I think it is a gem in Eugene. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and very zen. Immediately upon entering the space, I'm ready to grab a cup of Mighty Leaf tea and zone out for a glorious hour. I have used several of the LMTs there, and I was pleased will all of the massages I have received. Sadly, Providence no longer allows their LMTs to bill for massage, so I may have to cut back on the frequency of trips there. It's a good enough find though, that I don't think I'll be able to resist making periodic appointments. read more

I am a Eugene native and have been here all my life, and have been to many of the chiropractic and massage clinics. A Healing Space, in my opinion, is as good as it gets...maybe anywhere. Dr. Adam is clearly passionate about, and has a deep knowledge and understanding of, his work. I have been carrying around years of pain as a competitive martial artist, which was exacerbated by an auto accident. Seeing Dr. Adam in combination with his team of LMT's has given me my body, and in some very real ways, my life back. I seriously feel like I wish I could do more for them to help this place along, and for anyone looking for the relief I really didn't think was possible. This truly is a healing space! Everyone is kind, knowledgeable and professional! I have been involved in two car accidents (one while pregnant) and I have found great pain relief from visiting Adam for chiropractic and having massages. I have a few favorite massage therapists but honestly they are all good each bringing there own specialty skills! (if pregnant, they got you covered!) Have had no issues with them billing for auto accident. The front desk is very accommodating if you have special schedule needs which I usually do. I found this clinic by chance, when seeking out relief for chronic pains. An online search brought me to his website, where I read that he offers Chiropractic treatment with the addition of emotional release techniques. I am a spiritually-minded person, and my healing treatments are most successful when holistically treating not just my body, but also my mind and spirit. Dr. Drapkin promotes the re-alignment with not just bones, but also the release of emotional/spiritual blockages. In my first session we worked together to target my pains, and the emotions that were connected with them. It was an instant renewal for my soul! My most painful places were dramatically reduced, and he left me with mind practices to calm myself, and reduce the tension in my body during high stress. In my second short visit, we opened the session with a crystal cleansing/emotional release that worked wonders with my receptive bodies' true wish to heal and release the pain (physical and emotional). I had my 3rd Eye re-activated, and felt like a new person. Then after a quick adjustment, I left the office feeling refreshed with much less pain. A real powerful release! The zen in the office aids in the promotion of this clinic, with waterfalls, and coy fish, yummy tea, and and ambiance of healing. In addition, I am unemployed, and paying out of pocket, and Dr. Drapkin has been very understanding in working within my budget. I get the feeling that he genuinely cares about my healing when I am in his presence, and I am looking forward to future visits.
