Amanda and her magical feet gave me such a comprehensive, relaxing and releasing massage! I had never tired ashiatsu before but I am familiar with Thai massage so I wanted to give it try. Ashiatsu is an all foot massage that opened and relaxed every part of my body. My only comment is please allow me to pay after. I like to tip after I get a massage. I would have tipped Amanda more because she was AWSOME but I did not know that until after I had already paid and tipped blind ! Other than that this place is a must to self love! About touch is a truly wonderful establishment. My therapist Andrea is second to none. Her technique is unlike any that I have experienced she does these kind of like long strokes to like push out the lumps all the way along the muscle. Or idk what exactly she does because im not a doctor or MT but I would definitely recommend booking a massage with her or another therapist at about touch. I used to have a lot of pain in my legs and I was gai in weight because I wasn't walking much at all but after coming to about touch for less than 1 year the pain in my legs is almost gone and I am able to walk several miles per day. My pain went away which is allowing be to be more active and I have lost about 40 pounds over the last six months. I believe that Andrea and about touch are the primary reason I am losing weight. Because of the weight loss my overall health and wellbeing has greatly improved. I really have not been this happy or felt this great in a long time. So if you haven't already booked an appointment you should. Also they take insurance so it's pretty affordable, and without insurance their prices are still very competitive in fact i am fairly certain the are charging a bit less than most of the other places in town. Parking is a bit rough but I never have had to park even a full block away. All the receptionists are super nice too. I really can't say enough good things about them. read more

I have never been disappointed with my experience here. Every massage therapist is amazing. I just had a massage today with Billie & omg, absolutely incredible. He has a peaceful energy & is very intuitive. Perfect amount of pressure, pressing on pressure points, nice long strokes & music was perfect (no melody which I enjoyed), and plus he did not talk (I'm sure he has awesome stuff to say but I don't want to exert myself with conversation while I'm trying to relax). After a LONG flight the day before, I looked on YELP for a good massage therapist and About Touch popped up. Using the scheduling feature, I sent a request for either the same day or the following day. According to Yelp, they had a 100% response rate and would get back with me soon, which they did and I was able to schedule a 60 minute massage the following day at 2:30. On the appointed day and time, I arrived early and filled out the paper work that the therapist needed to help ease my pain. At the time needed, Hailey came and got me, we had a little chat about my pain, what I needed worked on and what level of pain relief I hoped to achieve. Hailey was thoughtful in keeping her hands warm with a heating bag, her touch was talented and she was skilled as she worked at the knots beneath my shoulder blades and in my low back. Though she's only been a therapist for a couple of years she's got a lot of natural talent and a caring heart, you can feel that in her touch. Beware of their rip off cancellation policy. They do not send appointment reminders as kindly requested ("although they state it's a courtesy of the salon, but forget to provide it", but they are very good at sending cancellation fees invoices (whopping $45!!) Look closely into their policy when you sign it and decide to become part of this shady operation. I asked to wave the late cancellation fee, but wasn't granted it because it's my responsibility. Other places have embraced reminders, but this place hasn't. "Per the intake that you had initialed and signed, our policy states that we charge 60% at the private pay rate cost of the appointment, if we do not have 24 hours notice for a cancellation. This fee is not billable to insurance and it goes to pay the therapist for their time. Unfortunately, appointment reminders are a courtesy to our clients. It is ultimately the responsibility of the client to keep track of their appointments" read more

This past week I was in my kitchen cooking meals for a friend. I believe I logged 25 hrs standing on my feet in just this one task. My back was screaming in pain by Thursday. I haven't established a masseur since moving to town so I went on a search of reviews. I thought I would give About Touch a try. I called and got an appt. the next day (Friday) with Matt for 1 hour. OMG! Matt went far beyond any expectation I had of getting a really good massage. He knows by touch what and where the pain is and how to work it out. My legs, pelvis, shoulders, neck, upper/lower back and feet were well cared for and left my appt. a bowl of jelly!!! I've been going to About Touch monthly for a couple of years now for Swedish massage. Anna, Brooke, Darryl, Michelle, Laurie, Jennifer, Hayley, Molly, and Stacie have all worked on me. A few minor bugs aside, this place is very good. Each therapist has their own style (and personality). Spend enough time with them, and you'll find ones whos' style works right for your body's needs. Brooke is best suited for deep tissue as she really presses in very hard. Darryl gets those joints moving. Hayley, Molly, Stacie, and Laurie are all "A" therapists. But Jennifer rocks. She's amazing. Her style works exceptionally well. She's one of only two "A+" therapists I've known. I've been getting massages monthly since 1995 (and always try new ones.) You will always come across a few therapists whos style does not work well for your bodies needs. I find that they are few in number at About Touch. Parking can be a bit of a struggle since the office has few spaces. Pricing is in line with most other establishments. The atmosphere is clean & pleasant. They seem to have a few problems with losing staffers. It's probably Covid related. I can't keep staffed-up either. (That's a good reason to try new therapists.) I've seen some staffers leave that I really enjoyed have work on me. The on-line booking software doesn't work well enough. I've "checked" on hot stone massage and no therapists come up. Yet when I go to the office and talk directly with the therapists, they say they are qualified in that area. This has happened multiple times with multiple therapists for multiple years. So you might want to pay them a visit (or call) in making appointments if you want the Hot Stone service add-on. Be prepared to have them call you and cancel a few appointments (for any number of reasons.) I have never had them fail to send a reminder in both email and text form. If you've never had a massage before, make sure you have the following day off. But that's just the first massage. After that, you won't need the following day off. Be certain to honestly communicate all physical health concerns, and go to the bathroom before you go there, and scrub yourself from your toenails to the last follicle of hair before you go, and drink good water immediately after wards, and turn the phone off, Whew'. read more

I feel as though I was a victim of blatant discrimination here. She was discourteous, ungracious and extremely off-putting. They're super friendly, the place is relaxing and cozy. Rolfing is legit. Chelsea not only worked my bad shoulder, but helped me get my whole body into better shape. I'm still using the simple techniques she taught me to keep myself in line. My body is a much more comfortable place to be since working with her. I've had a lotta massages over thirty years mostly on the East Coast and not the uppity, gentrified East Coast type of massage therapy. Just the regular massage businesses in the greater Boston area. I was pretty disappointed with About Touch and left possibly more tense than when I got there. When I got there there I was told I had to wear a mask while being massaged on my back but not on my stomach it didn't make much sense and I wanted to leave but I knew I would have had to pay. They aren't wearing gloves (nor should they be for a massage), we are in very close quarters and half of the time I am masked and the other half I am not. Is this really necessary? Maybe if a customer requested it but who is more relaxed wearing a mask during a massage especially with all the difficulty breathing through the nose that can build up as the massage progresses sometimes. I felt that was foolish and not relaxing at all and it is not because I have a problem with mask wearing in general. Had I known, I would have waited until the policy changed. Also when I first get there at 7pm on a Friday (probably final appointment of the day) with apparently no other rooms being used, they put me in the room adjacent to the lobby where I can hear conversations in the office, doors closing and other noises not conducive to a relaxing massage. This is pretty basic stuff to consider when telling the masseuse which room will be used. Couldn't you have put me somewhere a bit more isolated with less background noise? There seemed to be ample work areas. The secretary was all up about paying before even wanting to talk about anything else. I know its late and the weekend is upon us, but you asked me if I would come in at that time I didn't ask for it so maybe a little back and forth to make it seem like you don't only care about me paying the bill first would make people feel a bit more welcome. Overall, it felt amateur. The Masseuse herself was kind and did most of the spots I asked for, she missed a couple but she tried. All in all, I I was not relaxed and did not enjoy this business and would not go back here but this may be what is on par for the scene is Eugene. I don't know. read more

This past fall after too many days at my desk while tackling some mundane task, I pinched a nerve in my back. I couldn't sleep, didn't want to eat and was in so much pain that talking was difficult. I looked into treatment options and found that conventional treatment meant taking many different drugs which I don't want. So I did chiropractic, acupuncture and massage. Elena and Jennifer at About Touch made it possible for me to return to my daily life. I won't lie, at times it hurt but within a day I felt significant improvement. They also educated me about how my body works and helped me improve the ergonomics of my workspace. I love the About Touch space. It's peaceful. The tables are snuggly and heated. Parking is plentiful. They are always on-time. A life saver for me is that when I want to get a massage I can easily book online because I usually think about it at 11pm and by the next morning have forgotten. One last thing, I have a host of food and environmental allergies and I've never had a problem. One of these days I'm going to try their hot stone massage which my friend says is divine. Oily and Vigorous! I received a gift certificate as a present and was very pleased to be able to book an appointment online. I picked a masseuse based on my availability, since I didn't know them individually. Elena provided me a very vigorous, fast paced, oily massage. I'm not too particular when it comes to a massage, this was just a different style than I'm accustomed to. Not a slow, calming, steady pressure; more of fast up and down, up and down, up and down, with random direction - not following the direction of muscles and their connections. A LOT of oil was used. So much that my hand slipped off my car handle when I tried to get in. I didn't speak up during the massage b/c I wasn't sure what feedback I could provide. Had some major muscle strain after a motor vehicle accident. Came in with very limited ability to move my head. Marnie was awesome. Not only did I get relief from the recent mva symptoms, but I have had relief from old injuries that have plagued me constantly for years and made sleeping through the night nearly impossible. I'm sleeping better than I have in longer than I can remember. I didn't know how beneficial massage could be until now and I plan to keep massage a very healthy habit from now on. My experiences here have been great. I will definitely continue coming here. Before my first visit, I was told the facility might difficult to find, but I found it easily with GPS (that's a bigger feat than you think, since the same GPS has tried to run me off of bridges and into lakes ). It's set back a little from Country Club Rd, but if you read the signs, I don't think you'll have any trouble. There is 5 minutes of paperwork for first-time customers (asking pertinent health information, etc), so allot time for that before the appointment. The waiting room is small and quaint, and felt relaxing from the moment I walked in, with soft music playing in the background. Matt acted professional and experienced. He asked me a couple questions and encouraged me to communicate at anytime during the session. And he did a good job of listening and making sure I was totally comfortable. Afterward, he told me his findings (it's amazing how accurate their assessments are based on the state of a person's muscles) and offered suggestions to help correct imbalances, which I found helpful. I felt completely relaxed when I left, until I got into my car and endured the manic drivers in 5 o'clock-traffic on my way home. Definitely worth a visit if you are in pain or just need a little pampering. The only suggestion I can offer to improve my own experience is that these therapists do home visits. read more

I've been looking for a good massage and I found the place. Elena listened to me and focused on those areas. While she would check in with me occasionally, Elena wasn't too chatty. I was allowed to relax and go into my "happy place". She was doing such a good job I had her go an extra 30 minutes so instead of a 1 hour massage, I had 1 1/2 hours. I seriously doubt I will go anywhere else. The office is conveniently located. The waiting area is clean and relaxing. The rooms are nice with wonderful beds. Summary: I made an appointment with Brooke. She was awesome. I highly recommend her! I come to Oregon to do fieldwork, and it is always hard on my body. I've gotten massages in Eugene on previous occasions, but never here. This is where I'll be coming from now on. I'm a pretty fit guy, and prefer to get as much accomplished in the session as possible. This usually means a more intense/deep massage. Other places have left me wishing they could have used more pressure to really work out the issues. Brooke was perfect. She delivered exactly what I was after, and I finally got the massage I was looking for. Where I was especially sore, she was delicate and did a great job of keeping me comfortable. Where work needed to be done, she did a fantastic job of using enough pressure to work out the issues, but kept it from becoming uncomfortable.
