I really enjoy the deep tissue massages I get from her. She is great with feedback on wanting more or less pressure. Cindy listened to all of my concerns based on my military truck driving job and how my back and hips have been affected from it. She explained everything she was going to adjust and asked if I consented to having a neck adjustment before adjusting me. I have had alot more comfort and pain free days since meeting her. Im also pregnant and they have easily accommodated me. Everyone here has been amazing at making me comfortable and feeling safe with both chiropractic adjustments and massages. Dr. Cindy - You know my last initial as J. - B. is from my maiden name. Let me clarify: don't fall for the massages to get you into the door. "Pre-adjustment massage" from my previous post means the massage you received before the adjustment. The massages absolutely do make a difference and were the best part of my experiences there. Ty and Heidi were great! The worst is long lasting extreme pain in my hip after Dr. Cindy decided that my hips were misaligned. It feels like my hip pops in and out of place now and it was never a problem before agreeing to her adjustments. I went there for back and neck pain and left with a new hip pain. My new doctor in MN immediately ordered an MRI and it turns out my neck is in a much more precarious place than we previously thought because Dr. Cindy only did a CT. read more

I initially rated five stars but have now downgraded to one. Cindy informed my partner and me last week that she is dropping us as clients and continues to drop OHP clients. However, she offered for me to be her case study trial as she specializes in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I'm not interested at all. Cindy's adjustments worsened my pain and swelling despite my documented osteoarthritis and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. During an adjustment, she placed a knee drop under my right knee which resulted in severe pain and swelling. At the time, I didn't realize I should not have allowed that adjustment, especially with EDS. Additionally, I underwent four sessions of LENS neurofeedback with Maranda but had to discontinue due to a major increase in anxiety and overstimulation. This treatment worsened my CPTSD symptoms, and I am now seeking safer neurofeedback options to reverse these effects. Maranda is kind, but this experience has negatively impacted me. Be VERY careful with the LENS neurofeedback. I'm having major increase in anxiety, panic and nightmares. There are safer alternatives in Eugene though they require a wait list - it's worth it. On a positive note, Ty is an exceptional massage therapist who has provided incredible healing bodywork. I am deeply grateful for their care. This completely remodeled house in a Eugene neighborhood is a lovely setting for excellent massage care. I got a massage from Heidi, who is a horse woman like me. Her hands have the strength of someone who's done a lot of work with big animals- like humans - for a long time. I love that you can get deep tissue massage here in such a caring environment. I don't recommend that anyone go to Sunrise. As a patient, you are entitled to evidence based care and informed consent, none of which you will find with Cindy. Based on my experience, I do not believe Cindy practices in a safe or ethical way. They did not ask me to fill out any paperwork, and the evaluation I received before treatment was very short. Cindy adjusted my neck without warning, and it caused me significant pain. I felt so overwhelmed that she did that to my body without my consent, that I totally lost my voice. The experience was very triggering, and I left in tears. I left with a reduced range of motion and neck pain, and months later I am still paying out of pocket elsewhere to address the pain she caused. If anyone reading this has had a neck adjustment, you may understand how jarring that experience can be even with consent. Cindy also pressed me to get an X-ray of my spine, and expressed to me that my back was super messed up. I went to several different chiropractors afterwards for an evaluation, and they all disagreed with Cindy. They told me that Cindy's perspective, and what she was focusing on with my spine, wasn't clinically relevant. Following her recommended path would have led me to receiving X-rays and unnecessary treatments. I left a voicemail canceling future appointments, and I expressed how I felt in the appointment just to offer feedback. The receptionist called me, and told me that my post treatment neck pain was normal, and pressed me not to leave a negative review. It was clear that they only cared about liability and their reputation, but not the patient. Super disappointed by the lack of integrity, accountability and informed care. If you want someone who will honor your legal right to informed consent in the treatment space, or someone who will practice in alignment with evidence, I recommend you go somewhere else. read more
