I will say "Active Chiropractic" is one of the best massage therapy establishments I've ever been to. Also, I will add I was a massage therapist for years down in La Jolla California and have been to some really nice places. Often, it's not about the aesthetics of a place, don't get me wrong either, this place is very nice...it's about the therapist, the doctors and the staff. I'm a disabled veterans and get massages through the VA. Since going here my health has improved dramatically and my movement has improved 10fold. I've had massages from almost everyone there so far. I love everyone's different techniques and approaches to my healing. They listen to me and go from there. I really connect with the staff there and the pair that's been the best for me therapuetically has been Spring with the dress. She has really helped me with my TMJ and migraines. The other therapists are super rad too, don't get me wrong. Sometimes one therapist is the one that gets into them deep nooks and them grainy crannies. I'll list the good before the bad. Good massage therapist. Decent adjustment. Now the bad: Billing is trash. Absolutely horrendous. I went here after a car accident and they were one of 5 providers I used (and the only one who can't their invoicing together) Privacy is non-existent as I heard the front desk staff speak poorly about patients on two occasions (considering I only went 3x, that's quite a bit) Communication is trash. If you don't text the desk, nobody responds. Don't bother calling; it's a waste of time. You will be pressured to do services you do not want or need when they feel your insurance will pay for it. They're not at all coy in saying this. There are dozens of great care providers, chiropractors included, in Eugene and surrounding areas. Save yourself a headache and embarrassment and use one of them. read more

*Updated* As my wife and I have been going here more, they are doing a really good job treating us. I appreciate the familiarity and friendliness of the staff. We have gotten some great massages as well as some PT that has really helped us a lot. Honestly, this would be a 5-star review if only they had a bathroom in the back area. However, I have heard a rumor that there are remodeling plans in the works. Hoping that includes a bathroom in the back. ------- Still getting to know the team at Active Chiropractic but so far it has been great. I started going to Active Chiropractic about 6 months ago, I was in a lot of knee and foot pain. I had had knee surgery a year ago and was still struggling to walk and bend my knee. It was affecting my Achilles as well. Slocum did not recommend PT for me!? I was worn out from living in pain. I met with DR. Cutting and with his physical therapist Kristen Barnes. Went there and got my back adjusted the first time and felt wonderful. The second time I got adjusted I felt horrible and could barely walk and I let them know this and they acted like no big deal and I figured after spending almost 400.00 in two visits they would of at least adjusted me again for free since how bad I felt they didn't even say anything or do anything for me even after I let them know. I will never let them adjust me again and if I were you I would think twice on a company that doesn't care about their clients. Anthony Cutting works miracles as far as I'm concerned. You have to be careful with what chiropractors you go to as some can try to force realignments and accidentally tear muscles or ligaments. Anthony has an appreciation for the soft tissue work and is also trained in it as well, so he understands how everything works together. He uses an active release technique where he works the various areas to a point where things can adjust easily and safely without any concerns. The new client few is $150 and after that each appt is $80 if you don't have any insurance. After spending 4.5 years in the military and being around military doctors, I felt broken and hopeless. I've always been told they couldn't find anything wrong with me and just send me home, telling me to take NSAIDs and that's it. Anthony was able to identify my problems and diagnose them almost immediately. Everything he does is completely worth it and has a great value, as he literally made me feel younger and working again. I had issues with my hip, both my wrists, both my ankles, and my neck. I've had issues with numbness and tingling across both my hands and my forearms. After the adjustments in my neck, I felt it all the way to my fingetips as if a light was coming back on. I would readily refer Anthony to anybody that needs work done. read more

I was having extreme pain and low mobility in shoulders and arms, due to my profession as a baker. When it started interfering with my sleep I figured I had better do something about it. After YEARS of chasing debilitating symptoms and being offered many expensive and arguably dangerous prescription drugs from the mainstream medical community as the solution for my ailments, I discovered chiropractic help. I first started seeing Dr. Cutting because of a judo injury in college that never completely healed. Over the years I had tried everything to relieve the pain from regular visits to physical therapy, massage therapy and my primary care doctor. Everything seemed to help a bit, but nothing got down to the root of the problem to make the pain go away for good. I felt defeated every time I work out because the same muscle group in my neck and low back would seize up for several weeks. Dr. Cutting is a wonderful person - he's truly amazing. Not only does he know the skeletal system and the neurological system, but he is highly intuitive and has a great approach to chiropractic and also loves his work! He's a true healer. I was terrified to get adjusted, especially around my neck area, but he talked to me about what we would do and reassured me of any fears I had, so after a few months of treatment three times a week I could feel significant improvements in the muscle group that had been acting up, and working out is no longer painful on my neck and low back. read more

Dr. Cutting is phenomenal in his chiropractic care. He grasps things quickly and is able to use NKT (neuro kinetic therapy) to diagnose a problem, then ART to promote healing. Dr. Cutting will develop plans for you both through physical therapy and nutritional approaches. He is passionate about helping others and healing. I have struggled with chronic injuries for sometime now and have seen all the good physical therapists and chiropractors in town, but with him, I sense that it will be different. I went in to see "Dr." Cutting to have a rib put back into place in the right side of my back. What I got was a tour of the facility and a sales pitch on other treatments and supplements. While he was successful in getting the rib into place on the right side he displaced a rib in my left side. I'm in worse pain now than before I went in. Dr. Cutting is very knowledgeable and helpful--he has been able to make me, who has complicated injuries and skeletal problems that go back over 50 years, much more comfortable. My wife would like to go every week, but we both pay out-of-pocket--doctor doesn't take medicare and isn't affiliated with our Oregon provider Trillium (this is a plus, for many reasons). I always leave his office feeling normal again, rather than coping with the pain of being yanked into some sort of alignment. This is worth paying for out-of-pocket, many times over. But his prices are doable, even for those on a budget. read more
