They took us back right away! And after the 30 minutes they seem to offer more- like a massage for dessert? They are very friendly, smile, proper, and strong! This was a vigorous foot service. Our feet were placed in a warm water bath. Then I didn't know where she went- so quiet- then she was at the head of the reclined surface. Maybe she was praying before she began?She started with a temple massage, then neck and upper back. We were fully clothed. Then a towel across my eyes and onto the feet and calves, which all felt good. I'm not sure if I thought it was relaxing. It was good for my body, circulation, etc. It was worth $35- the prices seem very reasonable. It's not a luxury spa type place, but know their craft. Walking in we are greeted most enthusiastically by a lady who barely speaks English, so it started a little awkwardly with trying to get information. There is a board that shows $35 for a half hour foot massage. When we pointed to it I think we were negotiating...? Hahahaaaa!! Next thing you know we are both being walked back to a couple of side by side short sofas. There is a wicker basket to put your shoes and socks and pillows on the sofas for reclining. We both settled in as they brought out foot baths. These ladies are very courteous, polite and cheerful. They are enthusiastic about their work and do a good job. They put our feet in these baths to soak while they came around behind us and we got a neck and shoulder massage to start. Then they got to our feet and that massage was awesome. They weren't exactly delicate, but they were thorough and not rough. At the end of the massage they toweled off our legs (up to the knees) and feet and said we are done. Not very ceremonious either, but efficient. My feet feel great and I'm relaxed, considering we only went in to get some information and came out as clients. Yea, I would be tempted to go back with any muscle issues. If you want an aggressive muscle workout, I'm thinking this is your cup of tea. There is a large menu board on the wall in the office. It is easy enough to just point at what you want and you're in business. The place is clean and well kept. For the most part it looks like a lot of the rooms are cubbies with drapes, but the full body massage rooms have actual doors.

It's pretty much a Swedish massage with lots of strength. The technique was kinda questionable. But she really puts a lot of work into it. I love that. It's a 1 person show. So if the phone rings or a customer comes in, she will have to take care of that. But you won't be short changed. When she works, she will get into the nooks & crannies. I suggest dressing down to a higher standard than usual if you are accustomed to North American massage therapists. She is responsive to feedback. Although, I asked her not to touch my feet, but she did anyway. But it did not hurt... which it usually does. So she changed my mind about my feet. She speaks enough English to get by. If you are turned-off by establishments that are not hospital-like sterile, this is not the place for you. I'm in it for the massage. I will be back.

My aching back really appreciated that great customer service. The location is homey and the studio I was in was spacious with a nicely appointed sitting area. The massage table was comfortable and had an awesome armrest under the headrest that I'd never seen before. My massage therapist Kara was wonderful. She was easy to talk to and I was quickly able to communicate where the worst of my knots were. An hour was nowhere near enough to untangle me, but she was able to hit every major problem area I had asked for and she showed me a couple knots I didn't know I had! It's easy to get to from the freeway, and parking is super easy (except on Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 - street cleaning). She is so affordable that it really enables almost anyone to incorporate massage into their lives on a regular basis instead of sporadically. However! Don't let her rates fool you. This is a woman who is dedicated to the practice and lives accordingly; she is affordable because she believes that money shouldn't be the issue keeping people from taking care of themselves! She is strong and soft in all the right places and at all the right times. She really takes her time going deeper and staying longer in the areas that need more attention, and her intuition as to where these places are is spot on! Additionally, I never feel rushed or hurried to leave as I have with other therapists that practice out of their home. After such a short time together she has completely gotten in tune with my body. This past week I left her place feeling like I was glowing and vibrating and could peacefully and gracefully accept any experience that came up, from the stresses of daily city living to the intensity of birth. I also really love the final product and expertise that my technician put into my nails, I was really pleased. I am not about the difference between the "spa pedicure" and the "deluxe pedicure". I paid $10 more for the Deluxe and I thought I would have gotten a little more foot massage and calf massage, but that did not seem to be the case.
