Several times during the massage the therapist had to leave for a minute to answer the lobby bell. She left the door open. I politely asked her to close it. They definitely short me on my time though. Once the therapist said she forgot that she had another client and said she'd return in 15 minutes. That rubbed me wrong. In that case, she made up for the lost time. But that was the exception. In a pinch, this place is ok. But it lacks professionalism.

As far as massages go, it seemed like half of mine was missing. She massaged my back with oil and then did a quick pat down of my legs. This massage was $50 for 30 mins. I could have gotten a better massage for 1 hour at that price somewhere else. After the massage was over I tried to break a $20 for tip but they seemed reluctant to do so. The other lady who massaged my husband demanded that the tip be split between them. My husband had indicated that he already tipped his masseuse but for some reason she was acting like that didn't happen and kept asking to split the $20. In the end she gave me the $10 I had asked for back but the whole exchanged seemed very rude. And the massage wasn't even good enough for the trouble.

I've been shelling out for the more traditional Swedish deep tissue places recently after getting mediocre massages at Chinese foot massage spots even though those were my favorite from living in SoCal. But I was just desperate, calling around on a Sunday after getting called in to work last minute, hoping to find an appointment somewhere for me and the boyfriend to destress. They were so accommodating with my request, I got to come by right after I got off! Plus with the promo they have if you book online through their website it's the best deal in town. So I'm already giddy but the drive out there can be daunting when you live in town so I'm lowering my expectations. The woman who greeted us was so chipper and kind and we quickly got whisked to the back while they filled hot tubs to soak your feet. I wasn't sure what to dress down to but the women were so professional so even though there was a bit of a language barrier they made sure I was comfortable. The massage itself was wonderful, started out so relaxing I almost fell asleep (a pet peeve of mine I try to avoid, I want to be present for my enjoyment!) and then when she started working on my back/neck/shoulders I was amazed at my masseuse's strength! I prefer deep tissue because I associate the slightly painful pressure with the satisfaction of breaking my knots but she was intentional and focused on working them out with deliberate applied pressure. It wasn't painful so I wasn't sure how I'd feel afterwards...I was hoping she'd really crack my neck or something, it'd been so tight for the past month! But she must've known what she was doing because 6 hours later there's still no pain, no soreness, I can twist my back and neck and no twinges or resistance! We will definitely be back :) (also they have a groupon deal!)

Walking in we are greeted most enthusiastically by a lady who barely speaks English, so it started a little awkwardly with trying to get information. There is a board that shows $35 for a half hour foot massage. When we pointed to it I think we were negotiating...? Hahahaaaa!! Next thing you know we are both being walked back to a couple of side by side short sofas. There is a wicker basket to put your shoes and socks and pillows on the sofas for reclining. We both settled in as they brought out foot baths. These ladies are very courteous, polite and cheerful. They are enthusiastic about their work and do a good job. They put our feet in these baths to soak while they came around behind us and we got a neck and shoulder massage to start. Then they got to our feet and that massage was awesome. They weren't exactly delicate, but they were thorough and not rough. At the end of the massage they toweled off our legs (up to the knees) and feet and said we are done. Not very ceremonious either, but efficient. My feet feel great and I'm relaxed, considering we only went in to get some information and came out as clients. Yea, I would be tempted to go back with any muscle issues. If you want an aggressive muscle workout, I'm thinking this is your cup of tea. There is a large menu board on the wall in the office. It is easy enough to just point at what you want and you're in business. The place is clean and well kept. For the most part it looks like a lot of the rooms are cubbies with drapes, but the full body massage rooms have actual doors.
