I've been meaning to post this review for a couple weeks now, but just wanted to say how happy I am with Alejandro's service! My work order consisted of 4 small(er) trees in my little backyard area (I live in a 6-unit condo complex), and then one larger Willow. Everything from the Estimate, to scheduling, to communication, to the finished product was pulled off without a hitch. Alejandro and his coworker did such a fantastic job--the trees weren't overly-trimmed/left barren, so they still provide a good amount of shade. And since I live in somewhat close proximity to my neighbors, Alejandro was happy to accommodate when I asked if he would hold off with the chainsaw work until about 10am--they got started with shears in the meantime. Again, very happy that I decided to go with A. Cabral! I will definitely call him again in two years for the next service, and have even recommended him to our HOA President for future work on the trees/surrounding shrubs we have in the frontyard. read more

Fantastic, just FANTASTIC. Alejandro did an amazing job, clearing out not only dead trees/shrubs and hacking everything (we're talking at least a dozen fruit trees + shrubs) back (w/o hacking, if you know what I mean--he did a quality job, not destroying everything w/machete work), he also disposed of 2 sheds crammed w/crap that my parents had hoarded stuff in. We needed a big tree cut back and had no idea where to start, so YAY for Yelp, which led us to Cabral Tree Services instead of Random Guy from the Phone Book Tree Services. Mr Cabral gave us by FAR the most reasonable estimate. Our neighbors had a tree trimmed by another guy and that guy's estimate for our tree was over THREE TIMES what Cabral quoted. We were so stoked over the good deal that we ended up not only having our big tree trimmed, but also a smaller orange tree, and a bunch of ivy and brush cleared from our wall, and our sprinklers fixed. And it STILL came out less than half of the other guy's quote. SERIOUSLY. The work was done very well, and very timely. Cabral and his guys worked all day and even came back the next to finish up the details--all the debris was cleared, everything back in its place. Everything looks great, and we even get sunshine in places that haven't seen it in years. No up-selling! Mr Cabral asked the mister what he wanted done, and laid it out, without the "suggestions" that other companies try to zap you with, make you feel bad about if you don't do it. Negatives? Well, as the mister said...the only negative is that Cabral Tree Service was such a good deal, he kept finding more that he wanted done. We're already thinking about what to do next...plant a lemon or avocado tree...trim another orange tree back...etc. What had seemed like a horrible, herculean task has just become very, very easy and affordable. read more

I been using Alejandro Cabral's tree service since 2013 when I first found them on Yelp. The first time I used them, I called several companies to estimate. His quote is straight forward and beat three other company's estimates by couple hundreds. Since then, he is my go to guy when I need trees trimmed on my properties. He had removed trees for me that are more than 2 stories tall. He did everything properly, including grinding the stud couple feet down into the ground. And go to my neighbors to pick up and clean all the derbies from the trimming. He is always on time and always deliver. Just today, I asked him to trim trees again and realized I never left him a review. This review is long over due. I can not recommend him enough if you need your tree trim or remove. read more

I have to say I'm disappointed in Yelp. A. Cabral Tree Service should be listed at the TOP of the search for all searches of "gardener" "sod" "landscape" and "tree service" for anywhere between Newport Beach. I called Alejandro and he answered (which is rare from gardeners), came over immediately to see my yard and give free estimate, and was back the next morning to do the work. His price was INSANELY CHEAP. I had my lawn re-sodded at certain locations. He said it would take between 8AM and 10:30AM. He arrived at 8AM on the dot. Went to work, finished a little after 10AM and used the extra time to manually water my lawn. Great! I can't wait to use him again. Oh, he is cash only. read more

I called Alejandro last week to get a quote for trimming white bird of paradise trees (they look just like palm trees). He came out the same day and gave me an estimate. I booked him and his crew for the following Friday. They showed up early and did exactly what they said. The were nice, hard working and efficient. I had done some major trimming in my garden the week before and was going to take the trimmings to the dump. Without asking they cleaned that up and took it away. Who can you trust ?? Years ago all you needed was a firm handshake, men gave their word and kept their promises. Sadly that may not be the case today. I have used Yelp to find the best people and companies. I needed some out of the ordinary yard work done, not tree removal but removal of some shrubs and their roots.. I called Alejandro for an estimate, he came by the same day, we agreed on a price and made an appointment for a few days later. Alejandro is a good listener and went over every detail of the work involved. My wife had a lot of questions, I too had more than a few. Made an appointment for an estimate to cut down a large tree in the back yard in HB for Monday morning 07:30am. He never showed up or called. I texted him and he called back. Said he couldn't make it, which is understandable if he had called ahead to cancel. Could've saved me a trip down from Aliso Viejo. Just upset that I took time and effort to make the appointment. What a great local business! Mr. Cabral is a good, honest, hard-working person and he promptly answered his phone, came by my house to assess my tree trimming needs and provided a reasonable estimate for services. He worked with my work schedule, listened to what I wanted done and did a great job on four ficus trees and a loquat tree. The crew also did a nice job cleaning up and didn't damage any existing trees or plants. In addition, he provided me with recommendations on how to keep my trees from "over-growing".
