I've never bothered to take the time to try to write a review of a business before, but A/C Solutions on Buckskin Trail treated me SO poorly that I feel compelled.
And, remember, for every person who takes the time to write a review I think there is market research that says something like 2 dozen others feel the same way and didn't bother to take the time.
Their website makes them sound nice and initially they seem okay, but it quickly becomes clear that their friendliness is totally fake. That kind of fakey fake that makes you sick...like they are so tired of people they should really get into a business that doesn't require they work with the public. Oh, and you'll sit on hold forever.
I'll admit I had a bad day (working the weekends on top of the week and on top of the A/C breaking my uncle died that day), so I was not at my best, but these people have NO interpersonal skills beside the fake initial bit. Then they turn rude.
Part of their fakeness is asking you questions that only other A/c mechanics would know. Like have you checked your condenser pump, or whatever...like I'm supposed to know what that is. Then when you point that out, they make you feel like *#($@ for not knowing and for pointing it out to them.
They they try to "guilt" you by saying "Well, Ma'am we were JUST trying to save you money." So I ask for them to tell me how to find the thing they want me to check and they say "Listen we have dozens of calls on hold so we can't help you with that." So what is it?! They have time to ask you impossible questions and argue with you but not time to tell you how to find the item or call when they are running late?
Then they tell you a time range but then do NOT arrive during the time range nor do they call to tell you that they are running late. So I waited 15 minutes after the END of the range they promised to be there and called. And "Cassandra" acts like it is a big hassle for her to check the records and can't take good natured ribbing or upset customers...Like "Can I put you on hold?" "You really leave me no choice...I've been on hold all day and especially the past 4 hours waiting for you." "Well we tried to help you earlier on the phone and you bit his head off, didn't you!?"
REALLY? With that attitude I'm supposed to trust you, your family business (yeah, with family like that who needs enemies?) with my equipment if you are talking smack about customers behind their back? Really, Brian (I think it was), you need a little thicker skin if you're going to make it in this world. With no hint of "sorry we didn't show up or call"--with that attitude these people showed it makes you question their ENTIRE team & wonder about how their parents raised such rude & short-sighted children. Or how they stay in business. Just a bad day? Family stress?
Anyway, with such attitudes & business practices (talking about customers, being judgmental instead of understanding, forgiving, or apologetic), it makes you wonder if they'd be the kind of business that didn't bother to show or call on purpose ("We'll show them, let them suffer").
They seem into making more trouble for you and being in the power position instead of being solution-oriented...so people like that make you wonder if their techs are the kind to claim a problem is there that is not (or plant a problem?) just to get a bigger sale or get even with you for being "rude" to them.
She never did tell me why they didn't arrive during the window they promised, or did not have the courtesy to call to say they couldn't make it until later or the next day. She just whined and blamed ME. It'd have been MUCH faster & better had she just answered the question. Simple as that.
I told them I'd get help elsewhere.
There are 100s of A/c businesses in town. I'd have called one of the 2 I'd used before (both fine!) but they don't do weekends. Well, I'll suffer in the heat before I'd call A-C solutions again. I'll call one of the OTHER places and wait since those places know what customer service is and can put up with a stress-filled comment and help DIFFUSE stress, not add to it. Personally, I wouldn't trust positive testimonials on the AC Solutions website...they are probably friends, paid, or just got lucky.
I haven't decided whether to file a BBB complaint. I'm not sure I can b/c no money changed hands, and, either way, I'm not sure I want to waste any more time on these people beyond making this attempt to warn people. I hope at least a few people read this and spread the word. I'll be telling everyone I know (verbally at least!) to avoid them like the plague.
I strongly recommend that you do not take a chance on them. Maybe someone on their team is okay, but I still wouldn't take the risk.
If they want to survive in this economy, they should be nicer. If some A/c biz has to fail, I hope it is theirs not some other nice person's company. No matter how low their service call fee is and any promises to waive it, go elsewhere. read more
