The garage stayed noticeably cooler with the full ridge vent so yay! The job took 4-days, really 3.5-days with the first 0.5 being a crew who peeled off the old shakes the first day and some supply delivery. 2nd was delivering more supplies, checking for dry rot, replacing as needed, and starting the plywood, and waterproofing. 3rd was shingling and gutters (separate crews), 4th finishing everything up including painting the vents to match with the new roof. Very efficient and well cleaned up after.

Worked all day and even painted the underside to match the rest of the exposed slats. Paid him for the work, but he promised to be back the next day to clean up the finishing. He could've not returned at that point as the major work was done, but sure enough, next morning, he returned to complete the finishings. So far their response has been very good. Someone came out today, April 2nd, 2026 to do some further sealing and take a look in the attic. I will give an update once I have more information.
