The food was great, and the service was fantastic. Quick at the drive through and dining in is wonderful! The woman working the register was so friendly and upbeat, and she was great with every customer she interacted with. Horrible run down restaurant I thpught was closed down. They even removed all the order terminals, no more roller skates,. You can't hear what they say when e n ypu decide to go through drive thru . My mom decided to order a burger and moron taking orders bashed owners for alot of issues but he said I don't know..we have hundreds of burgers..offered no help or suggestions. This place is utterly horrible..food looked dated like it had been under heat lamp like but it reminded me of Big Boy..not just the dated 1970's look but much worse. McDonald's head to head review is extremely unfair to A&W so I will skip the one v one review. Clean it up,hire better people or close. Service was ok, but my mom got sick about 3 hours after eating her hotdog....food poisoning would be my guess since that'sthe only thing she ate.. My Chicken and waffles...chicken was great, the waffle was about the size of a hockey puck and just as hard. It had been microwaved so long, it had that burnt center. I cannot believe they would have given me my order that way, because of course I went thru the drive thru and didn't see until I got home. We won't be going back. Quite a disappointment. read more

Tell me why tf it just cost me 23 fucking dollars for 3 things. I got a 5 piece tender, a cheese curd, and a regular root beer. How TF does that add up to 23 fucking dollars.......food definitely not worth anywhere near that price either. Mediocre at best. I pull up and I am welcomed to A&W and asked if I will be ordering cheese curds today. To which I replied that yes I will (because that's the only reason why I drove up today). I order a large curd and something to drink and I am told they will have my total when I pull around. So I do and when I pull around I am told 'I am sorry, we are out of cards today. Have a nice day.' I am not asked if I would like to try something different or told I'm sorry that I mislead you when I greeted you... Nothing. Way to go with Customer Service. read more

The last couple of times we came, service was very slow. Seemed like one customer would order & the order prepared before the next customer could order. But tonight we waited in line for close to 40 minutes, were told they were out of ice cream & mushrooms that we'd requested, so we just got the coney dogs, only to get up the window & be informed they couldn't fill our order because they ran out of chili. This is one of my favorite spots when I go out for "fast casual" food vs a casual dining experience. The food is always fresh, service is amazing (which is rare these days) took my son here for lunch today, Cherie was amazing and super friendly. People often write the negative about everywhere, but because service is failing these days- I try to recognize those that are actually friendly when we go out places. We stopped here for a quick lunch on the road. The food was fine but they don't move very quickly.

I would actually give them 1-1/2 stars. It is springtime and there was no car-hop service; which was kind of disappointing. When I went in, the dining area was absolutely disgusting and I thought I ought to leave because I was now dining in. The service was not impressive. A gentleman waited on me while the regular cashier ran out food to the dining room. When he gave me my change, he complained that he did not have any 5s and that the cashier had not told him that she needed change. She was waiting on people, running food to the dining room, and trying to clean tables. Meanwhile, the guy making the food in the back had a beard and did not not appear to be wearing a beard cover. All things considered, the burger was good and the root beer was very good (but I wondered about the cleanliness of the glass mug). I would skip the French fries. I see no reason to go back. read more
