We came here for the burgers but ended up adding a pizza for the kids and man am I so happy we did. Burgers-they're ok, they are good burgers but I wouldn't drive back for them (we don't live close). I got the Big Ben and it was huge and it was yummy but it wasn't special in any way. My husband got the bbq burger and the bbq sauce was way too sweet. Even the kids didn't like it. D'Angelo's is a solid four star establishment. Food was tasty, menu is diverse (several vegan options ), and service was good. One major con is that there isn't a restroom. There is apparently an agreement with the bar down the street, but their restrooms are sub-par at best and isn't very convenient if you are popping in from out of town. The space is very small and appears to be geared towards takeout orders. Also, the menu specifically says that the vegan options are in eco-friendly containers, but the burger was lined with tinfoil (which didn't seem necessary) and the salad was in a styrofoam container. My garlic bread didn't come with the vegan ranch, as stated on the menu, either, however I didn't notice until it was too late. Overall, I think D'Angelo's is a great hidden gem if you are from town or staying locally. I would love to go back to try the vegan pizza! read more

This place has vegan dishes that have even the truest of meat eaters wanting more! The chef here is a master of both vegan and non-vegan dishes. The variety of options is interesting but gives you the ability to travel the world through his dishes. Pizzas, calzones, tacos, burritos, burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, gyros...the list goes on. The portions are huge on some dishes. They make everything fresh to order so be patient, or order ahead like we do and then sit and enjoy or take it with you. Very small with limited seating inside and some outdoor seating as well. Clean and comfortable. The only negative is no public restrooms. I hope they relocate to a larger location or expand this one. The food here is worthy of a legit sit-down restaurant. We drive 30 mins to partake of their delights, and it's worth it! read more

D'angelos is my favorite resteraunt to eat at in the bay county area! They have a full vegan menu which is fantastic. I always bring my friends there and all of my nonvegan friends are shocked. My favorite items are the vegan all american burger with their fries, and the vegan fish tacos! They have vegan pizzas, meatball subs, quesadillas, bbq "chicken" tacos. Right off the bat let me tell you this is definitely a take out place! We drove here from Midland expecting to have some of what we were told was "the best pizza in Bay City". It was planned as a leisurely lunch but upon walking in there are only 3 tables with 3 chairs each. We went up to the counter what we were greeted with a friendly smile and were handed a menu. Right off we had to bring a chair over for our 4th person, no biggie and we still didn't get that this was simply take out! I've person in our party had to use the bathroom but lo and behold, no public restrooms! He had to walk across the street to the bar (must be a very common occurrence because the bar staff were very friendly and pointed directly to the bathroom!) Once we figured out there was no alcohol and only canned soda we decided to order for take out and take it home. The pizza was yummy with plenty of toppings, the 3 cheese bread was so delicious and the Texas pit and bbq (came remember what they called those) were also very good. Have been wanting to try this place for a while since I have heard good things. I definitely wasn't disappointed. Trying out new places with great reviews on their food I always stick to the basics my 1st try to gage the quality and D'angelos was top notch. I got a deluxe cheeseburger and a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The burger toppings were extremely fresh like they almost seemed like they were just cut and the patty was cooked perfectly. The Brioche bun was super soft and held up well to the big patty and all the toppings. Pizza toppings were great, and the buttery crust and sweet and zesty marinara sauce was on point. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back to try some of their specialty burgers and pizzas. Tip: I was not aware this place was mostly take out and delivery. There are 2 tables in there. We lucked out and some people were just finishing their food so we got a table. The lady at the counter said they are looking to nove into a bigger spot. Second time leaving a review for one of Bay City's finest gems. But this place deserves endless praise. Tomorrow celebrates a year of them having vegan items on their menu so what a great coincidence that I stopped by today for one of my all time favorites, their vegan burgers. Got my usual choice, the Beyond burger deluxe. They informed me quickly that it is no longer the beyond burger patty, which was scary for me. I personally favor the beyond burger over the impossible. But I must say I was far from disappointed. Still has is the delicious greasy, cheesy mess that I have dreams about. The impossible patty is slightly thinner but with a stronger beef flavor that I think will appeal even more to non-vegans. And the pretzel bun is still as soft and fluffy as ever. Apple cherry salad- super tasty and they make their own Fuji apple dressing. I substituted grilled chicken which was an extra $3! But was super tasty. My husband got the gyro which the pita was super tasty. And the bbq vegan tacos which my sister enjoyed...a little on the pricey side but quality food. This place was amazing. My bf is vegan, so we were looking for a vegan friendly place. The impossible deluxe burger was phenomenal. My bf liked it so much was gonna get another one (if I wasnt already almost done eating lol) My bbq bacon + cheese burger was amazing. I could only eat half. The French fries were good. The vegan garlic bread is definitely amazing. Even for a meat eater. The marinara sauce was good. Probably would have been better if it wasnt as cold as they serve it, but, some people prefer theirs cold. I like mine warm. The only real complaint I'd have is that my bf never got the little salad thingy that comes with his Impossible burger. 13/10 read more

Pulled off the road into Bay City to find this one solely for the vegan options. Got 3 pizzas: one vegan, one veg and one with meat. All were delicious. There are great options here for vegans and non-vegans, and not only pizza. They had articles where they placed 7th in the state of Michigan for pizza. Pizza is cut tavern style, vegan one was triangles with an actual rolled edge. It was warm inside, only 3 tables with limited seating, and some seating outside. It was 85 degrees outside and about the same inside. If you are pulling off the highway to go here, find some place to used the bathroom first, as they don't have one for public use and everywhere around them requires you buy something. The customer service when ordering over the phone has always been great and very friendly. The food is awesome and very filling. We've had their burgers, pizza, breadsticks and gyros multiple times and never had a bad order or even just mediocre it's always on point! That didn't work for me at the time and asked if I could get credit for a pizza to get on a different day. Nope can't do that. How about a cheese bread and pop credit they told me. I asked , how about you just give me the $8 difference in what I paid for and what I got and I'll call it good. Nope no refunds. Wish I would have came here sooner! 21 years spent in Bay City & I just tried their pizza for the first time today - until recently, I didn't even know it existed. It's somewhat of a hole in the wall. Anyways, the pizza was amazing. We wanted to try one of the gourmet ones, but they were a bit pricey - which is understandable, factoring in the quality ingredients. We got the Wednesday special, which was a basic one-topping 14" pizza for $11. The crust was the highlight of the pizza, the cheese was perfectly gooey, and it was seasoned with delicious spices. For two people, this was WAY more than enough food. My girlfriend & I are big eaters, too, and we only finished half the pie. Will be coming back again to experience the rest of the menu. read more

Ordered a burrito and chicken wings last Friday, the burrito was spot on but the wings were dry and seemed like they were reheated. Tried to call back but they were closed at 2PM. Tried at their dinner hour and after several failed attempts because of a busy signal I decided to call the next day. Finally got to order from this place after reading good reviews about their food. I ordered two pizzas, cheese bread, and wings to be delivered to the hospital (my wife and I just had a baby).
