Sprouts & wings
Holly W.

It's a Sunday night. We have tickets for a show at City Winery. It's Mom & Dads night out! First stop: A&B Kitchen Bar. Why? Because it's close and had some good food option. A&B is connected to a hotel and is a stones throw away from TDGarden. The bartender was definitely pretentious but nice. He wanted to help guide me in my drink choice and he made me a pretty tasty ginger beer concoction. We opted to share the Brussel sprouts and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings, I wish they were slathered in the sauce a little more. They were litely coated, almost like a rub and the small amount of sauce was on the bottom of the little skilled its served in. The blue cheese was ok. The brussels were my win. Small pieces of bacon, crispy and soft sprouts. Flavorful. True Score: 3.5

Veggie Burger

We came here for the Celtics v lakers game last night. It was really fun - they had all the tvs on showing the game Service was so which and our sever was so nice making sure as soon as somebody got seated, she would come over and make sure she got their drink order I got the veggie burger with sea salt fries - pretty good. The burger had a crispy texture to it which was great and the sautéed kale had great flavor. The fries were okay but not bad at all

National Cheeseburger Day

We came here on National Cheeseburger Day and were pleasantly surprised! The deal came with a smaller cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato as well as a side of fries--all for $5. The burger itself was tender, and the fries complemented everything well. Considering it was only $5, I'd say it was a great meal that filled us up for lunch! It was also a Wednesday afternoon and so the restaurant itself had plenty of seating both inside and outside and so we had our pick of low top or high top seats. Service was good was well.

This place is lovely. Service was wonderful. My fiancé absolutely loved his burger! But- if you are looking for a Detroit style pizza- go across the street to Night shift. I was served a gross undercooked thick pile of dough and congealed cheese that tasted like it came from my middle school cafeteria. So much undercooked cheese it just oozed out into the corner (pictured if you can spot it). Very sad, because the last time I tried this za it was great. Otherwise, everything was absolutely wonderful!

Tabletop s'mores

I went here for the tabletop s'mores and it was so cool! I also got the Detroit style pizza while I was there and that was quite tasty as well. Both items were very inexpensive and our service was super quick! There were also a ton of empty tables so I had no problem going as a walk in. Would definitely recommend!

It is in a hotel so expectations were guarded. Really good wings, good beer selection, great bartender in a really nice room. Exceeded what we thought.

Nick's BBQ Burger

We stopped in here after a bruins game. With so many choices in the area we landed on a safe spot. We were seated right away, and they had a nice layout, with TV's and an open bar. The drink selection was decent, but with so many local breweries I wish it had more choices than the big names. We both had burgers. Both were perfectly cooked to medium rare. Wife's was better than mine, mine was decent but not "wow". Waitress and hostess were great. Definitely a safe spot

They also have outdoor seating along the side and back for a great view of the water or to people watch folks walking by in Seaport. I could definitely see this place getting crowded for a game. We were seated outside and our waitress was kind and attentive to us. We didn't experience slow service, and it was quick ordering with her. She was on it. We got a pretty big spread of food (honey bbq tenders, nachos, lobster roll, steak and cheese wontons, and margarita pizza). All of it was very average. The flavors were very average and the quality of the food was nothing special. Wish it was more Seaport quality. It's a bummer since not a single plate was piping hot when it got to our table. Everything was either room temperate or cold. Still a great spot to hang out in the sun outside!

It's like someone mashed together an amusement park, a zoo, and a full-blown circus, then replaced the cotton candy with alcohol and the safety rails with chaos. Every floor felt like a different dimension--one minute you're vibing, the next you're dodging a human traffic jam like it's bumper cars. But the real main event? Colleen. First floor. Absolute legend. Watching her work was like witnessing a headliner performance before the headliner. She wasn't bartending--she was conducting a symphony of pure mayhem. Drinks flying out of her hands like fireworks, orders remembered with supernatural precision, cracking jokes, keeping the energy electric--it was like if a ringmaster, a magician, and a quarterback all fused into one person behind the bar. I showed up stone-cold sober. Like, "responsible adult grabbing a pre-show drink" sober. What happened next was less of a night out and more of a controlled demolition. Somewhere between Colleen's perfectly poured chaos and the multi-floor madness, time stopped making sense. I'm pretty sure I blacked out on one floor and woke up on another like I was fast-traveling in a video game. At one point I may have been part of the circus. Not watching it--part of it. By the time I left, "walking" was no longer an option. I exited the building in a full crawl, like I had just survived a natural disaster. Limbs questionable, dignity gone, spirit intact. 10/10. No notes. Would absolutely risk it all again.

For appetizers, we usually always get the wings. They're smoked and then I believe flash fried. Always tasty and tender. The fried pickles are great, too. Having a food allergy can be tough, not here. Virtually anything can be accommodated for, and the managers bring your food over with an allergy alert. For entrees I always get the bbq chicken pizza, or the Cajun pasta. I also LOVE the buffalo mac and cheese, which can feed you for a week. The drinks are very good. The beer menu is huge. I would give this location a 10/10. Always check for see the wait prior to coming. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

Not offensive, not memorable, just existing on the plate doing its job. The place was pretty packed, but somehow still calm. Lots of people, low murmur, nobody yelling over table noise--basically a small miracle. The beer list is huge, which is great if you like choices, or terrible if you're the kind of person who panics when offered more than two options. All in all, I liked it. Good atmosphere, great broccoli, and enough on the menu that I'd come back. Might even pretend it was my idea.

Jake n JOES was perfect to host this at because it is a New England sports bar with plenty of TVs, a perfect game day menu, and a lively atmosphere to enjoy a game with sports decor surrounding. I'm glad they had this Celtics collab. The event was fun, they had free merch at a table handed out by Celtics cheerleaders and Lucky the Leprechaun. We got there towards the end but scored some merch. We did wait for a table since it was a full house for this, but luckily we scored one with a TV in view. My friends and I got dinner, opted out of drinks this round. I got the chicken quesadilla with a side of spanish rice. The quesadilla was pretty good, but the rice was a little undercooked. They also charged extra for a side of sauce which has never happened before so that was a bummer. I wouldn't have got one if I'd known. Oh well. We then split the cookie sundae which was yummy. Cookie was undercooked and a little raw but it was okay. Still tasted okay, food is always good but nothing to write home about. I like it though. The atmosphere and the shared energy of Boston sports fans being able to come together and enjoy a game makes up for the food being above average. I'll still come back and enjoy a game here.
