IT WAS TIME TO RENOVATE OUR 20 YEAR OLD SWIMMING POOL I started calling in July. 5 Contractors came out and gave me their recommendations. During the estimating phase, I learned about 5 different pool plaster options: white, colored, quartz and pebble plaster. I also learned about the importance of pool circulation, chemistry and cleaning. Art Jr. demonstrated his extensive knowledge in the pool plastering industry. He explained our options, but did not try to sell us something we do not need or want. We chose Art Jr. because he listened and is responsive. Art Jr.'s crew removed the old plaster to gunite. They removed the old tile, main drain cover, rope rings, incandescent light, deep end wall steps, entry handrail and pool heater. They installed new tile at the water line and trim tile on the steps. They installed new pool drain cover, rope rings, LED light, deep end wall steps, entry handrail and pool heater. Knowing that their best customers are the ones they educate, Art Jr. answered all questions that came up as the job progress. Johnny's Start-Up was the icing on the cake. He skimmed and brush vacuumed the pool everyday for 3 days. On the 4th day, he cleaned the pool filter and added new chemicals. He skimmed, brush vacuumed and tested the chemicals for 2 more days. The plaster job was done in 1 week. The start-up procedure and chemical balancing was done the following week. It was fast and continuous as promised. All workers worked hard and cleaned up everyday. Art Jr and his team brought my pool back to life! We have a 90 foot pool that needed new plaster, tile, coping, light fixture, deck o seal, and repiping. It was a big job. 1. Safety- all employees made sure they put safety first in everything they did. They did this by always keeping the worksite clean. They also used signage to let me and my family know where we can and cannot step when work was being done. They always informed me about what was operational and what was not. 2. Communication- Art made my family feel like we were his only clients. He always answered my calls and returns calls quickly. I must have asked him a million questions being a first time pool owner and he made sure to answer all of them and educate me in a way that was easy to understand. The level of personal service is hard to find these days. 3. Quality- Art and the team took my pool that had been severely neglected for several years and made all the necessary repairs, and improvements to bring the pool back to life. Art went way above and beyond what we expected and that's why our pool is operating better than it ever has. 4. Service- If there was something I needed or requested, Art took care of it. He made sure we were always happy with the the results of his work. It didn't matter how long it took or how difficult the job was (electrical, pipings, cement work, plumbing) he took care of it. Sometimes he stood working into the late hours just to be sure things were done the way I wanted it and correctly. If he was not available Art made sure one of his employees completed the task. There was never a gap in service at any time. He even checked in on us twice several weeks after the job was complete to be sure we were happy. 5. Price- I took several bids for my pool and Art Jr was the best priced for what we needed. He even found ways to save me money by letting me know what was still in working condition and what was not. Other pool services wanted me to change everything out such as the motor and skimmer would have cost me thousands, but Art told me they are still operational and they did not need to be changed. If there were extra bells and whistles I asked about, he would give them to me at wholesale price because we were already doing business together. 6. Honesty- As my review tells, he was always honest and he always did what he said he would do, and charged me what he said he would charge. To me, you can't put a price on that. I highly recommend Art and his pool company. He has worked in the pool business a long time and it shows through his quality and service. I was losing water in my 1000 gallon In Ground Concrete Rock Spa so I called a couple of local Pool Contractors to get some help. Both of them didn't offer to come out and look instead wanted me to spend $375 to hire a leak detection specialist. I found A&A Plastering on Yelp and after calling him Art Jr. offered to come by the same day. After evaluating the Spa issues he gave me two repair options that included fixing the leak issue then either an Epoxy Coating Service or Replastering. He was so confident that I didn't need to spend the money on a leak detection that he said that if after the repair there were any leaks he'd repair them for free. One Week later my Spa is looking sparkling and no leaks as promised. I chose to Replaster and so far so good.
