We recently hired Aldan Construction & Remodeling to completely resurface our pool with a pebble finish, and the results exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, and clearly skilled in their craft. Their scope of work was extensive: they redid all of the pool plumbing, installed a new pool light, added grounding copper wires for safety, and upgraded our pool pump. Additionally, they addressed permit requirements by replacing our side gates, which shows how thorough and compliant they are with local codes. We used Aldan a while ago for our pool remodel. They did an okay job but there were also several issues along the way that required call-backs afterwards. What I was most appalled by is that at the end of the job they want me to sign a document saying I'm satisfied and that therefore I'm not allowed to take any action that negatively influences Aldan, presumably like leaving a negative review. It goes without saying I would never sign a document with that clause, so I can say whatever I want. But it does make you wonder whether the high ratings on Yelp are a result of people feeling like they'll be sued if they give their honest opinion of the company. For that reason alone I would never use this company again. read more

When my husband and I decided to completely gut our backyard we interviewed more than a handful of contractors and in meeting Leo and team from day one there were not only transparent and kind but trustworthy. We gave them multiple pictures/visions as to how we wanted the backyard to look and the final product looked identical to what our initial ask was. What was once a shed and grass filled backyard is now a pool and beautiful outdoor grill and island. We got multiple quotes and went with Aldan because although they were not the cheapest, they seemed the most knowledgeable and detail oriented. They pushed hard to get our permits approved by the city during a covid backlog, and did not try to get a price increase out of us even though construction material costs increased greatly between the time we got the initial bid and started the project. We hired Aldan for our pool and landscaping project, and we are extremely pleased with the results. As with any big project there were challenges along the way such as atmospheric rivers that arrived early and dumped unprecedented rainfall right before the plaster was to be poured. After getting a few Estimates on redoing my pool and pavers and converting my pool to salt water I decided on Aldan. See photos below. Very happy with them, started a little bumpy because of my lack of knowledge on how the process works but they assured me it would be done by the deadline that they proposed. Sometimes I would look outside and say "no way" is this going to ever get done then somehow it all came together and we are very happy with the results AND the cost of course. I usually don't recommend contractors because if anything goes south they will of course blame me, but I can say you will not be disappointed if you use them. My girlfriend and I hired Aldan Construction to help with the replacing our rotting wood patio that in the backyard to pavers. Timothy, who was our project manager, was very helpful and courteous from the beginning. Very transparent about what they were going to do, what kind of pavers and even recommended paving the planters as well, which turned out beautifully. I recently had a pool and backyard project done by Aldon Construction and I love it and working with them was a fantastic experience. Al and his entire crew are top notch. The help my wife and I got from Leo and Niko when bidding on the project and having out vision come together to the rest of the crew throughout the project was an awesome experience. I especially want to thank Niko for always making himself available and answering all my questions and getting me help when he didn't have the answers right away. He was an awesome project manager and a great person to work with. My project was very large and the had to start from scratch as my yard when I purchased the house was beyond bad with weeds taller than me, dirt instead of sod, debris and neglect everywhere. Now my yard is beautiful with new lawn, pavers, and a beautiful pool to make all come together and feel like I'm at a resort in my own backyard. We had some delay issues mainly because of the amount of rain we received this year but overall I would highly recommend Aldan construction to anyone looking to complete a pool or a backyard make over. I looked around and got several quotes from other people but both Leo and Niko made me fill comfortable and trust them with such a big and expensive project. Even after my project has been done I still reach out to Niko and Al for questions and help and they are just as helpful as before the project was complete. We hired Aldan Construction to build us our new pool. We are always diligent about contractors we choose so we sought out several estimates before we chose Aldan. Two reasons we chose Aldan over all others - Leo the salesperson and the price. Leo's customer service and presentation was top-notch and the price was about right for our budget. Throughout the project, Aldan Construction made sure we were always informed of where we were at in the very-involved process that comes with building a pool (permits, excavation, rebar, Gunite, plaster, etc), not to mention all of the required inspections. There were some minor hiccups here and there when it came to daily site cleanup or staying on top of the subcontractor work to make sure it is being done as expected, but those were some bumps in the road we expected with this type of 6-8 month project. Overall, we are very satisfied with our beautiful new pool and would happily recommend Aldan Construction to anyone else. We even added to our project along the way because we wanted hard landscaping around our pool to finish the look and Aldan also helped us with adding our courtyard pavers and sitting wall as well. Aldan construction did a fabulous job with our driveway. Our old driveway was buckling due to massive tree roots. Leo, the project manager, provided a great solution of using pavers as opposed to replacing the concrete. This will provide a longer lasting, easier to maintain driveway. He gave us a fair price and was able to start the next day. The Aldan crew came in early in the morning, was extremely organized and knew exactly what to do. They had the old concrete driveway removed and the surface prepared for the pavers on the first day! They were neat, cleaned after themselves, and made sure the streets was passable. I was appalled at the multiple sexist and misogynistic quotes by the two guys who came out to consult on this potential job. The number of times they would wink and grin at my boyfriend about me "saving him money" after they'd ask us to make a decision on materials was shocking.
