I am using a lot of restraints to not give them a 1 star. I really expected more from this company and had high hopes for great results from them. I emailed them to see if they could work with my budget since I wanted a particular draping done for my wedding in a barn where they have a strict policy of no nailing, making holes, or affixing anything permanent. I corresponded with Vigen's daughter, Gaia, who was very helpful and accommodating. What I was really frustrated about was their poor communication and lack of professional integrity.
Gaia initially informed me that they could work with my budget, then told me they couldn't, then said they could. I made a full payment to them a month before the wedding since they were really giving me a great deal. About 2 weeks before my wedding I confirmed set-up and take-down and was informed there would be an extra fee for same-day take-down. I told them that I was never informed of this and had all the email correspondence to prove it. So they agreed to do the same-day take down at no extra cost. I met with one of their staff person at the barn to confirm the look and to make sure they can secure the drapes without making holes or doing permanent damage. Five days before my wedding, Gaia calls to tell me that they would not be making any profit since they had to use clamps instead of their original plans to use pushpins! I reminded her of the MANY phone and email conversations where I vehemently emphasized NO holes to the barn and all the times she confirmed they could do the drapes without putting holes (i.e. use clamps!). THEN, she tells me that since they are not making any profit, they would be more than happy to RETURN MY PAYMENT! FIVE FREAKING DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING!!! Yes, I was furious. Gaia apologized stating that she had just started working for her father and did not do a proper job in quoting me. I know she was getting pressured by her parents. After some push and inferred threats of legal actions, they agreed, once more, to do the draping.
On my wedding day, the drapes were affixed with pushpins nonetheless. It also did not look like the picture I provided nor the details discussed with the staff member. (There was suppose to be 2 rows of drapes on either side of an already affixed chandelier, but they only had 1). Basically, they half-assed the work and did the bare minimum. I was grateful that the barn already had a chandelier and string lights to make the drapes more lively looking.
Vigen's staff emailed me for pictures of the drapes and reviews of their service. I emailed them back with my honest feedback and asked for their explanation as to why the drapes did not turn out the way we discussed before I post my review, hoping to gain some understanding. I received a one-liner email stating, "I believe we said that it was one row on each side of the chandelier." That was it. I'm disappointed in their less-than enthusiasm to please clients and to gain a good business rep. Though based on my experience I see it fitting to give them a 1-star, but for the sake of their daughter who was very genuine in her efforts to make my vision come to life, I'm giving them 1 extra star. I'm sorry their service was a let down, I was really hoping to give them great ratings and referrals. :( read more
