And instead of calling us to let us know that they were not going to be able to make it because of a miscommunication in location they just stopped answering. Today July 24,2021 I called State Farm road side assistance at 2:00pm after arriving to smoky bear road heading to pyramid lake to spend the rest of the day with my family on the lake breaking in our jet skis when one of my spark plugs decided to join Jeff in an outer space adventure. Having my 7 month old in the car and the rest of my family I decided to put my insurance to use and requested a tow truck to pick up the truck and get it home to be-able to use the rest of my day with my family. Well my insurance decided that A-1 was the best towing company for me although they are located in Lancaster and I'm in Lebec. Long story short I was told that a driver was dispatched to my location and would arrive in 90 min so I called some more family to come and pick up my family and take them home as well as the jetskis and that it shouldn't be long to get the truck and my self. 3:50pm I received the first text saying revised eta 60+min and continued to receive similar texts every 30min. I started to call A-1 to get an update on my driver to which I would end up only getting to the voicemail which was full. Multiple calls and no answer, I then called my insurance provider who seemed to be on my side about the situation and well after they got off the phone with A-1 they just told me to leave the vehicle there and they will take care of the rest. As I was broken down to an abandoned vehicle which I believe was stolen I did not feel comfortable leaving my truck so I told them that I will be here with the truck when they arrive, and I was informed that they would be another 50 min. After that I finally get a call back around 6:30 pm saying that the driver who I was assigned to was no longer going to arrive and that if I still needed service that another who was in San Bernardino would be assigned to me to wich I said that would be Awsome and was informed that they should be around 35 min away. At 8:52 I received the call from the driver that they are passing Frazier Park and will be 15 minutes until he arrives. Being 8 hours into the whole ordeal I just wanted to get my truck home. 10:20pm the truck arrives at the house and very appreciative to the driver who started his shift at 3am this day to be-able to pick up the slack. I would not recommend State Farm or this business if you value your time and vehicles. Update: As I was looking for my wallet which was left in the truck which had $48 in cash was missing. (Cash was missing) My wallet still has all my cards but no cash. read more

Great and quick service. They got here within 50 minutes of me calling. Really great response time considering this was at 3 in the morning and had to drive through the grapevine to get me. I didn't catch his name but he was really friendly and went above and beyond. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My truck needed a tow back to the dealership. They originally estimated a 2 hour wait. 5 hours later they still never showed up. I called them multiple times and was flat out lied to about their response time. Typical new age kids trying to run a business with no work ethic. I contacted my dealer who also filed a complaint against them. Even the dealer was shocked at how rude they were on the phone. Find any other tow company. read more

I had to use roadside assistance through my insurance and they dispatched a tow that ended up canceling on us over 3 hrs later. So another company was dispatched to my location, A-1. Within 15 minutes of being told another tow company was on their way I got a call from the driver Chris. He told me he was 10 minutes away..and sure as s&** he showed up in 10 minutes. I told him what the issue was, he took a look at my tire and had everything done and me ready to go in 20 minutes!! This guy was awesome, pleasant and so easy to talk to, give Chris a raise!! Not only does services rendered matter but customer service... interaction with customers/clients goes a long way when it comes businesses and Chris definitely has acquired a new client. My son was in an accident that totalled my car. He's ok but the car not so much. Two tow tucks had to come out (car ended up in a ravine. Chris was so great with helping me down the ravine to get my things out. He carried all of it up the hill and gave me such reassurance about my son being ok. He is really amazing and I appreciate everything he dud si much. The other guy Mauricio was just as caring! Thought they were going to have to bring a truck with a boom to lift it out. He did it on his own flawless even though it was so tough to do. I was amazed and am very appreciative of him also because he new I was upset and he gave me words of encouragement too. 5 stars to this company for hiring Jose Sanchez himself. My SUV broke down on our road trip in the middle of no where and he came to our rescue. He was incredibly accommodating. He made it very clear he was more than willing to take us anywhere we needed to go with no problem. We had about a 35 min drive to where we needed to drop my car at and the whole drive he was talkative and attentive never for a second was it awkward on our drive. We had planned to Uber from where we were dropping our car off to a rental car place but he offered to drop our car off where it needed to be and take us to the rental car place. Now that may not sound like that big of a deal to some people but when in an already stressful situation any amount of help I was grateful for. He didn't just get his job done and leave he got his job done and made sure we were where we needed to be to continue our trip and not be stranded and for that I'm thankful. Thank you for responding to all my calls, giving me a quick ETA and actually showing up! Your service was so much appreciated after a long day of waiting for the other company (from about 12:45pm to 7pm!) Jose listened to me and knew exactly where I was... south bound I-5 about 8 miles north of little Castaic, CA at a pull out where trucks stop to check their breaks! He knew exactly where that was!! He was there within the hour he said he would be and was so friendly and helpful! Thank you so much Jose!! (My review for AAA Towing and Impound is posted below, so hopefully you never bother with them!) NO STARS for AAA towing and impound. (I guess I have to give them 1 star to be able to post this review.) It is not a service I would recommend to anyone for any reason! The whole day was ridiculous! They were dispatched to come tow my vehicle on Saturday around 12:45pm and never ended up making it... their initial ETA was 1:50pm, but between getting my invoice mixed with someone else's (supposedly) who made a change to theirs, saying they were stuck in traffic when they also said they were only a couple miles away and I could see the traffic from the top of the hill where I was for miles and my phone didn't show a back up anywhere close to the area, telling me the insurance company gave them the wrong directions and likely passing me 3 or 4 times, this company (their dispatcher and driver) then stopped answering my and my insurance company's calls! AAA towing and impound dispatcher finally called me back at about 6:45pm and told me he was getting the driver on the line with us and the driver picked up but after dispatch called his name several times and we hear nothing but mumbling he started responding. The driver said he was at my location and did not see me. Getting out of my car and roaming the area, he was nowhere to be found. The driver told me and his dispatcher that he was sitting at my location with his flashers on and asked if I could see him... his dispatcher yelled at him saying "he's not supposed to see you, you are supposed to see him!" After hearing more yelling from the dispatcher and junk from the driver, I decided maybe he's drunk and I don't want him towing me anywhere so I told them there was another company on its way and to my surprise, we got disconnected. It's the next day and I've heard nothing more from them! About 10 minutes later, A-1 arrived right on their schedule! The driver talked with me before he got there and with my description, he said he knew exactly where I was on the I-5 south about 8 miles north of Castaic, CA in a truck break check pull out. How does a company expect to do business when they don't speak a word of English, slam the door in their customers faces, and quit on a job halfway.?This was my experience with this company. A friends vehicle had gotten stuck in a mud ditch and after a smaller tow truck had failed to get the truck out of the mud they had referred us to this failing company. When they arrived they were unfriendly, and seemed to give a half-effort during our whole experience. As we were waiting off to the side we noticed they were speedily packing up and scurrying into the tow truck as if they were trying to evade us at all costs. As we approached them asking what was happening the man slammed the door, said they didn't speak English, and shooed us away from the door. One of the people in my party being a fluent Spanish speaker tried to communicate when the driver just said "We're leaving goodbye". If there were more stars Id give em! Our car was stuck in a ravine, at least half a mile into the desert way the heck on the east side of Lancaster. My insurance company took SIX (yes 6) claims on Wednesday trying to find a towing company that could come out with the proper equipment to get the car out. The first one (M N O) tried to extort $300 from me just to come out and look (even though my insurance covered the tow) and then finally admitted they didn't have the right truck to do the job. Others realized the situation right away and some just left us out in the desert waiting and never arrived. The next day, we finally found A1 Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery and they showed up in a timely manner, made a plan to unbury the car, and Chris and the other guys worked with their brains, their trucks, and their manpower to successfully recover the car without any damages. I can't thank them enough for making us feel safe and accomplishing the job while maintaining a happy disposition and turning a major disaster into an experience we survived.
