I, of course, found this cleaners on Yelp and it was a bit of a drive for me, but I am really careful with who dry cleans my clothes. I didn't have to worry, I was really impressed by the way they handled my clothes. I went in one day to dry a pair of suit pants, a suit jacket and a white dress shirt I asked when it would be ready and they told me the very next day, that is unheard of. I thought my cleaning would be finished at the end of the day, but I got a text saying that my clothes were ready in the middle of the day. Really fast service. Also, I think she was the owner, but she thanked me for coming in and being a new customer and was very kind. I called back to ask a question and she answered so politely. I highly recommend this cleaners. My clothes look fabulous, they were done quickly and they are really professional and really nice people read more

I used to use another dry cleaner for years but too many times a shirt would be damaged/torn and they said it was old or threadbare. The location was convenient but I was frustrated. I tried A-1 with a comforter and they were so much more professional and friendly. Charli (front desk person) is amazing and great with customers. I ended up taking all of my laundry and dry cleaning to A-1 and now won't go anywhere else. Not the least expensive but worth it to not have my clothes ruined. They do everything on site so nothing gets sent out and lost. I'm retired now so I don't need to go as often but this will be my cleaners from now on. Also nice touch -- they text when your order is ready. Too many times, my previous cleaners would say "ready x, y, or z" and then say - "not back yet, come back tomorrow." Never again. read more

Their employee "Charlie is very professional, helpful and always makes the customer welcome. I have always found their dry cleaning and altering work outstanding. The parking is very good and service is excellent. read more

A-1 Dry Cleaners - A-1 Dry Cleaners on South Gessner is great! - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Houston, Texas

The most bullshit place ever to go. Do not trust these people. I took my T-Shirt with my jacket just to wash them cause I didn't want to wash them at home and wanted to have them Dry cleaned, however they told me that they can't do it due to clothes were not suitable for dry cleaning, they did offer to have them washed and they would look super good and new, but after getting my clothes, they both have stains on them, and when I asked them, the lady told me that they would try again and the satin was there before, however my clothes didn't have any stains. Paying $21 for 2 piece and getting them back with Stains read more

New to the Houston area and needed some alterations done to my suit. I forget the ladies name that works there but she has a great personality. Thought it would take longer to get my suit done. But they were able to get it done in two days and the alterations were spot on! I definitely recommend this dry cleaners. read more

Exceptional Experience! I always use A-1 Cleaners because of their customer service and exceptional work. This was my first time coming to this specific location but definitely one of the best. I had an interview in less than 24 hours and despite being 30 minutes past the same day drop off time, Charlie helped me out and made sure my things were ready before 7pm so I could be ready before the interview. They even took extra care of one of my shirts. Great place. Great people. I definitely found my go-to spot! read more

Charlie is so great! She will bend over backwards to help get you what you need. She communicates with you and is always so friendly. She knows our name when we go in and always greets us with a smile. Highly recommend. read more

I'm not sure about these old reviews, but over the past few months of using them. I have had a solid positive experience. Many times while dropping off, I've seen, who I believe are the owners, chat with other customers. They seem like genuine folks and do exactly what they say. read more

I called and compared the cleaners next door and the price was a little cheaper so I decided to go and drop off my clothes for dry cleaner there. I had read the reviews anyways about Charlie being very friend and she is! Very sweet lady who welcomed me and was very professional. I picked up my clothes next day with no issues and will be going back again next time I need my clothes dry cleaned. read more

I have been going to this cleaners for years. They are the best! After flood Harvey, I relocated near the Galleria, but I make the drive back down Westheimer to this cleaners always! All my items come back clean and fresh and spotless. Charlie, who handles all the receiving and returning the cleaned items, is so honest and will tell you exactly what can or cannot be done. She is an amazing person and makes my day brighter every time I drop off!!! read more

Awesome service every time! A-1 has competitive pricing and really fast turnarounds on my dry cleaning needs.

Charlie has been doing my dry cleaning for 2 years now, and my roommate's for years. She's amazing and everything comes back perfect... And super fast; it's always takes a day to do, no matter how many items I bring in. In addition, I accidentally left my dry cleaning there for like a month, and she didn't charge me extra for holding it. She's amazing! read more

This place had a very bad impression on me. I dropped off my sister's suit jacket on Monday and when I came to pick it up on Wednesday, they didn't clean it because of a stain! They didn't bother to call me to let me know (they ask for your name and phone number). Moreover, when I dropped off the jacket, the worker didn't bother to inspect the jacket. Honestly, my sister and I were not aware of this stain, which is why I suspect they accidentally stained it. Personally, I cannot trust my clothes with businesses that don't own up to their mistakes. read more

Today I picked up my clothes after they were a day late from what they told me.. drop before 9a pick up same day after 5p.. this was Monday 2/13.. I showed up and 2 of my expensive shirts and 1 pair of pants are ruin with ink.. I complaint. She want to settle with me for $30.... $30??? It's crazy.. 2 polo shirts and 1 pair of TR pants.. easy $500.. she just says sorry.. this is beyond crazy.. she brushes me away like is not important.. she said not my fault I just work here.. no responsibility, no ownership no caring.. then she still wants me to pay for the dry clean service.. will NEVER do business again.. and the $30 was for credit to dry clean.. read more

This place is great. Dry cleaning was fast and done really well. The last place I went to always left this sort of sticky-sweet smell on my clothes. My clothes come out much fresher from here. And Charlie is lovely. read more
