First time trying 9Five. We went for brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tvs were showing the Sunday football games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't very crowded at all so we were immediately seated and attended to throughout our time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered appetizers and entrees. I personally loved the crab cake egg rolls. The deviled eggs were good too. The entrees were good portions and delicious. I would definitely return to try their lunch/dinner menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were told that they have line dancing starting at 5 and it gets lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I ordered the Brussel sprouts and candied yams. The Brussel sprouts were delicious. Perfect texture and the sauce was very flavorful. I didn't care for the yams. They weren't sweet enough, but were okay, not bad. Service was iffy. Waiter disappeared after I ordered and returned when I was ready to pay so other staff had to assist me when I got tired of looking around for her. Place was empty so idk what the issue was with her service. However, overall the people were nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious inside... good size parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor is okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will return to try other items. There is a fee if you don't pay with cash.

    Berry salad with added salmon

I need to first emphasize that the food was good, but my overall experience was disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the atmosphere was nice, but pretty empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I approached the restaurant, it almost look like the place was abandoned and closed because it was so dark in the windows and you actually have to go towards the opposite side of the building to enter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I even checked their website to make sure they had operating hours today. I was immediately greeted pleasantly and seated. The service was fine. The server was attentative and took my order fairly quickly. As you can see from the pictures, I ordered deviled eggs, the Berry salad, and brussels sprouts. The salmon was a little small but seared to perfection and still quite rare on the inside, which is what I would prefer. So often, restaurants tend to overcook the salmon, which makes it dry. The salad had a nice mixture of blueberries, mandarins, and candied pecans. The deviled eggs were good, but not really anything beyond average, although I could've added shrimp and / or bacon which I declined. Because I already had an appetizer, I decided to only order brussels sprouts as a side item, and I did not want to overeat. I was pleased with the dinner until the check came when I noticed that I was overcharged compared to their online menu, which is also included in the pictures. While I can understand that the website may not be updated, I don't believe it was appropriate to charge me almost $50 for what I ordered. After I called, the manager agreed that the brussels sprouts were overcharged by almost half. I do appreciate his accepting the responsibility, but unfortunately I won't be able to get my refund since he needed my credit card and I was leaving town. With all the available options in the area, and really nothing unique about this place, I would not return.

    "Crab and shrimp artichoke dip
    L'Mika K.

I placed a pickup order at 9:20 PM and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. When I arrived, I let the staff know I was there for my order and was told it would be another 5-10 minutes. After waiting and checking a couple of times, I finally got my food around 10:00 PM -- 40 minutes after ordering. I ordered a salmon Caesar salad and a crab & shrimp artichoke dip. The salad came without any Caesar dressing -- I had to ask for it separately. The salmon was being kept warm under a lamp while the spinach dip didn't even have crab or shrimp, just spinach and cheese. They did put the salmon back in the oven, which was nice, but the food just didn't feel fresh or properly prepared. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the plus side, the drinks were strong and reasonably priced, and the DJ created a fun vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But for the food -- especially with a 40-minute wait for pickup -- it wasn't worth it. I really wanted to like this spot based on recommendations, but I wouldn't spend money here for food again.

    Crab eggroll

We decided to visit on a Friday evening right before 8 pm. Apparently Friday nights are reserved for DJ Karl with a K, we didn't know the treat we were in for. We were greeted immediately by the hostess Tia, who actually became our server as well and was fabulous by the way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the music was loud, it was enjoyable.....the people dancing at their tables was proof the DJ was doing his job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now let's talk about this food. We began with the crab eggrolls, they were ok. They come with four pieces per order and a sweet chili sauce, which I think a romalaude would better compliment the eggrolls, but overall they were ok for $18. For our mains I ordered the catch of the day which was a choice of catfish or whiting, I chose catfish, fried of course and it came with two sides so, I got cabbage and macaroni and cheese which is served in a cast iron skillet. He chose the fish and chips which came with 3 pieces of whiting and handcut fries. Overall our meals were good, I kind of wished my fish was fried a little harder, but I know to make the request next time. The portion of my meal was so much that I ended up taking half of it home and it was affordable at $22 and there was nothing left of the fish and chips with another affordable pricetag of $18. We also had two drinks a piece. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return. Parking is plentiful and free. It seems like they have themed nights almost nightly and I'm excited to try other nights, like karaoke. If you're in the area, drop in you won't be disappointed!

I'm a Pumphrey local. I love the location and I love being able to support my community. The staff is always welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd is an interesting mix, can't say I go there for the people.I stopped in Saturday to watch the Preseason Ravens V Cowboys game, after walking out of another bar due to a bad experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think I was just having bad luck for awhile because my order of wings took too long to come out and when they did they were burnt AND cold. Must be me! I'm being punished for something. I told Justin, my server and he quickly understood the assignment. My replacement order did take just as long but when they got to me they were PERFECT! Even had some extra razzle dazzle the I appreciated. Thank you 9Five. Always a pleasure!

    $4 margaritas
    Lennea B.

Fairly new family black owned business. The place was practically empty. The food was pretty good. They have great happy hours specials. Monday night was $4 margaritas which didn't disappoint. Everything was great up until I moved from the bar and sat at the table with my other friends that came in. The server nor bartender was knowledgeable on wine. My best friend asked for Prosecco and was brought a red wine... sent it back to be sent a rose .... They lost a star for this. I just can't give you five stars when the bartender doesn't know how to give the right drinks. 18% gratuity is automatically added to checks. It's great parking and a very nice sized restaurant. They also rent spaces for private parties. It has everything it needs for a flourishing business just please educate you staff your food and drink selections. I have plans on going back definitely a place that's chill and food and drinks will be good...

A coworker told me that there is a new restaurant close to our job (the airport) and suggested I go try it out. I'm so glad I did! 9Five Kitchen and Bar is a family style dine in restaurant with a bar (for the grown folk) It's about 10 minutes from BWI, close to the light rail, and easy access to highway 95. So whether you are coming from Baltimore or DC, or on a layover, access is easy! Ms. Robin and Chef Bobby were amazing and a pleasure to meet. Here's what I had: 9FKB Shrimp Bites 10/10 Crab Egg Rolls 10/10 Summer Berry Salad 10/10 Honey Touched Blackened Salmon 10/10 Lamb chops 8.9/10 9Five Signature Steak and Cake (crab cake) 10/10 French Toast Platter (w/ eggs, potatoes, and sausage) 9.7/10 Truffle Fries 8/10 Mac and Cheese 7/10 Red Potatoes 9/10 Asparagus 9/10 Yellow Rice 8.9/10 Spiked Strawberry Lemonade 9/10

My mother and I came here for lunch after a business meeting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is spacious, neat, and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It boasts a large bar area as well as a modest dining room upon entry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are multiple large televisions displayed. There's also a jukebox.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very professional, personable, and friendly. They were eager to serve offering most ordered menu selections and their personal food preferences, providing details about the establishment, upcoming events, seasonal menus, as well as letting us tour the place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's large with plenty of space for hosting events which they do regularly and offer for rent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious as well. We ordered the crab and spinach dip, old bay wings, side of greens, and salmon bites. The spinach and crab dip with the crispy chips... YUM. We also had margaritas mine being the spicy margarita which had a kick but was not overbearingly spicy. I enjoyed my time and plan to return in the near future for 1 of their many events. Check them out!

Restaurant gives you home-like, very comfortable vibes. Service was great, bartender was super busy but attentive! Wings were so good. Nice crisp but juicy! Drinks were strong, only needed one. Crabs were ok but was more shocked they were even offered?? I loved it - who has a special on individual crabs? Overall an amazing time!

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue. Waitstaff dresses very casually, it pleasant and fairly attentive.

Saw my girl, Khadijah for my returning flight to LA!! I was ECSTATIC! YOU HAVE NO IDEA. It's not the drink but the great vibes and company at Martini's. In fact, I noticed that when she's working, she's always got a full bar. It's her excellent attitude and vibe! I showed up and she had everyone up at the bar so I sat to the right of the bar so I can charge my phone! Even better, she remembered me! She told me that you can grab a drink if you have family, and sit across the way, if need be because those under 21 cannot sit at the bar. 2025.11-05/WED_1400: Just finished a long flight from LAX and had a two hour layover at BWI. I found the only bar between Concourse A and B. Originally, I was trying to stay close to gate A8. Had no idea my gates had changed to gate B. Martini is located at the top of the escalator on the way to Concourse B and the food court. The airport is under construction but you'll see it when you look for the escalator. There was a good amount of customers that looked like they were also on a layover having a great time. The bartender was a gorgeous lady by the name of Khadijah. It's so wonderful to see her beautiful smile and wonderful attitude. I don't know how she does it dealing with some grumpy and idiotic people! She's incredible just knocking everyone out with her wonderful customer service, attitude and SMILE. This changed her from beautiful to gorgeous or gorgeous to stunning. Whichever is top notch! Hospitality is 200%! Some customers feel so entitled and she handled everyone like a champ. No fuss, just a lovely attitude and she let stuff roll off her like waterproof wood stain. She also made me a drink called a Sexy Mule which had muttled blueberries, a flower of some sort (can't remember which flower liquor she told me) and extra ginger (it looked like pink lemonade garnished with blueberries). It hit the spot! Great suggestion! It was nothing like those bland Moscow Mules. If you are wondering where to go after a long flight and you're stuck at BWI for a long layover, I would suggest you see Khadijah at Martini because you won't receive stellar hospitality at any other bar at BWI like this! I'll be returning to BWI next week so I hope I see her again for my insane layover! #hospitality #martini #bar #baratBWI #BWI #mortimerthebear # travellingbear #everywherebear #ConcourseA

They live very close to a location there, and we got pizza to go when I was visiting them one time maybe in 2022. The pizza was very good as I recall. Then, I saw there was a location of Primanti Bros. opening in Linthicum Heights near BWI Airport, the first location in the Baltimore-DC area. They were having a grand opening on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, where the 1st 100 customers were going to get free sandwiches for year. I live about 13 miles from here, and I toyed with the idea of trying to be one of the first 100. But I opted against as even if I got there at 6 AM for the 10 or 10:30, whatever grand opening time, and there's still no guarantee I'd be the 1st 100. And I'd be pissed that I drove all the way there and stood there for hours to get nothing in the end. Not to mention, I had work too (although on average probably slower due to also Juneteenth holiday), which I could do from out there to a certain extent. Ultimately, I had emailed them, and they said the 100th customer got there at approximately 4 AM that morning! That's insane. This place really has a cult following! A friend, who knew I lived in AA County, loves this place and mentioned the idea of meeting up with me one Sunday to watch a Ravens game, and him and his fiancée (wife as of March 2025) went up there a few times to watch game or other reasons they went that way. On Thursday, October 3, 2024, like Juneteenth the holiday Primanti Bros. opened, it was Rosh Hosannah, and that friend who had off (as he works in a school & they get the Jewish holiday) off invited me to lunch with another friend of ours. My work was slow that day, and I needed to eat lunch somewhere anyway. I probably would've eaten lunch at home or close to home if they hadn't thought to invite me. So, I drove the 13 miles from home to meet up with them. Those two friends were kind of high. Well sure, it was a holiday they were off work. And they were hungry too! I was hungry too because well it was lunchtime. Service was prompt & friendly answering our questions. However, server was a bit of a klutz as she accidentally spelled some water got a bit on one friend. Geez, was she the one who was high?!...just kidding, it's just one of those accidents that can happen being a server. She was apologetic. My friend took it with stride having a positive attitude. I believe I got a pastrami sandwich, but could've been corned beef. Their sandwiches are big, pilled high with lots of meat & delicious too. I can really see why the following for this place with the quantity but also the high quality. Fries were plentiful too, which were also delicious. I ate well that day for lunch and was quite full. I went to an event that evening, and I think I just ate something small/snack for dinner that night after I got home around 9 PM. This was a great service with excellent plentiful sandwiches & fries and nice service.

They were much larger than we expected, the flavor of each were good - I had the mango and he got strawberry - and had a good balance of the flavor and alcohol in it. And it was only $7! Shoutout to them having all-day happy hour. The food was pretty good and filling also. For my Fried Shrimp platter, they definitely have a solid amount and number of shrimp on the plate, they were seasoned well and fried with a nice crisp. I took a bite of his fried fish platter which was also cooked and seasoned well. And I was shocked that the Mac and Cheese was very good - creamy, cheese and had a good taste to it as well. Overall, good eats for our late night dinner. We ended up getting some food delivered to our hotel from here the following night: the desserts (Bourbon Cake and Lava Cake) were very rich and satisfying, Knockout Shrimp were also tasty, and the wings were okay (may have been the sauce we chose and it being the grilled wings).

The meal itself was filling but the flavors were severely lacking. It was in desperate need of seasoning and a some sort of sauce. It was edible, but not something I would ever want to get again. It was nice to have options other than your typical fast food joints at the airport. Maybe I ordered wrong, but this place was not a memorable experience. I'd probably skip this next time I am looking for a bite to eat at BWI.

My inlaws had been here before and wanted to take us for Father's Day. It was busy when got there…read moreat 2pm and died down around 3pm. The menu marks spicy dishes, but not "white people" spicy. If you don't handle spice well, I recommend looking into jerk and curry flavored dishes before coming. I wish they had their full menu online because I like to get a sense of what I want before I arrive. Our appetizer was coconut shrimp. I am used to bland coconut shrimp but the shrimp here had a strong and fresh coconut flavor. My father in law had salmon with lemon butter, plantains, jasmine rice. He said everything was amazing. I ordered a Yardie Stack, which is a sandwich with a Jamaican patty of choice (I chose chicken), baked mac and cheese, and oxtail gravy on coco bread. Served with fries. The Jamaican patty was a little spicy but the sweetness of the bread and other flavors melded suspiciously well. That was a lovely sandwich. Fries were sub par but everything else was beyond any expectations I had, even the cabbage medley. My wife ordered fried chicken and I nearly bit my lip trying it. It melted when my teeth touched it and it exploded with juice. It took awhile to get food but they were swamped and it was worth it. My father in law also said the bread pudding is great and bought a slice to take home. The disappointing fries are a reason to be more adventurous and try the other foods. This was the best Jamaican/Caribbean food I've ever had.

But there's a lot of people coming I so maybe it's that good but just a heads up. Prices are a little high but it's the only Jamaican style Spot in the area so there's that. I'll leave another review to see if the food was worth it.
