I chose Thane because of the glowing reviews, however, I must've missed the one about him ruining…read morethe rugs. I left him with a $8000 rug that had been ruined by my Dad's dog. Thane said he would do his best, but couldn't guarantee that the stain would come out. $640 and two months later, I finally get the rug back. I appreciated Thane's honesty when he said he couldn't get the stain out. When I got it home and unrolled it, the stain was worse than what it was when I sent it to him. In fact, it looked like it has spread. I don't think Thane ever vacuumed the rug prior to "cleaning" it. My husband and I have vacuumed over the rug almost a dozen times and are still pulling out a TON of dirt. Sadly, there are now chunks of the rug missing from simply vacuuming it. Thane said he power washed it and let it sit in a solution to get the smell out. He got the smell out, and ruined the rest of it. All I want is my $640 back. I'm not even asking him to replace the rug. I don't think he did anything to clean the rug other than power wash it and let it sit in soap, which, by the way, is still coming out when I rinse it with the shampooer.

I almost didn't contact them just because I hate my name haha but I'm so glad I did call them…read morebecause they were the only company who were helpful. Jim seemed like he genuinely cared and understood what was going on even before he came out, based on my description, and that was consistent throughout the work. He had to rent a tool to handle the situation properly evidently because his broke and was just overall ridiculously diligent in understanding and properly handling the situation from the start. Kind human and much appreciated. My roommate's bathroom was having issues and I'm not knowledgeable about plumbing so glad to have a professional who knows and cares about good quality work and customer service. I can't say enough good things about this company based on this interaction and it was regarding plumbing which isn't something I enjoy talking about, thinking about nor dealing with issues about lol. He was even initially contacting other companies for me to try to get anyone out, since his tool to fix it had broken, which just shows that a company can care more about their customers than about greed. I could tell genuinely that he cared about providing quality and helping people; my kind of people! None of the other companies really were communicative or even called me back by late the next day except for one, Royal, which I'll reviewed separately (not a positive interaction). With all the snow, plus it being so cold the fact that everything was handled with such a good attitude was impressive & appreciated as well. I'd recommend Aspen services without hesitation to anyone. Very professional and helpful. I'll be thinking of them first for other projects as it sounds like they can do a variety of home related maintenance or upgrades.

I thought it would be an interim hire, but the guy was so dependable and conscientious I never had a reason to hire my own guy (within my company) to maintain this property. There were times I wouldn't contact or hear from Paul for a month because he (and I) knew that he was just going to take care of things. Point is Paul is one of those rare finds in construction and maintenance that you can tell him what you'd like done and he just handles it. Best I can say is hire Paul for one project and you will be calling him for your next project and your project after that. When there was something nonrelated to his scope of work I would call him for a Flagstaff referral (I live in Phoenix) and he seems to know everyone up in Northern Arizona, so he has plenty of contacts. For someone like me (that lives out of town) Paul saved me thousands of miles and hundreds of hours traveling to Flagstaff over the course of the last four years~ because he just took care of it.
