They snuck us in for one fill and one new full set with designs an hour before closing. They were very nice and had a great selection. Dylan did my fill with jelly nail polish and Lucy did the full set with the fun designs. The salon was super clean and they even stayed open past closing for us. I highly recommend anyone come to this location to get their nails done! read more

9 Inch Nails - Pedicure, shellac - Nail Salons Near Me - Lake Orion, Michigan

The people at this salon are fantastic. They are very accommodating and welcoming. I brought my granddaughter for a manicure and pedicure for her 16th birthday. They give ten percent off for high school students and their prices are very reasonable. The man who greets the clients at the front desk is the sweetest man. He brought me a hot tea and turned on the massage chair for me to sit and wait. I will recommend this salon to others and return myself. Thank you to the 9 inch nails employees!!! read more

My go to nail place since the Fall. The new owners are great. The facility is clean with lots of chairs. I love that they take online appointments as well and offer great services for pretty reasonable pricing. read more

I'm disappointed, to say the least. My nine-year-old niece could have done a better job painting my nails. They rush through work on multiple customers, which is not sanitary, and let customers try on colors before they have even had their nails done or cleaned. Not cool. read more

New owner recently has made this salon more like a relaxing spa! Great service and prices. Definitely one of the best in the area.

New ownership! Female business owner. Absolute best nail salon in the area. 9 Inch Nails is a nail salon with spa quality services. Hannah (the new owner) is amazing and has implemented incredible new additions. Hot towels, steamers, new pricing and new services. Quiet, comfortable, serene environment with NO chemical/acetone odors like other salons in the area. Excellent manicures. Highly recommend!!! read more

Natalie and Ben have a really great nail salon here in Orion. The team here is very consistent, makes great recommendations and does an excellent job on my shellac pedicures. I am always able to get in quickly and rarely have to wait. They take pride in their salon too as they've done two great makeovers in the years I've been coming. The latest design is so fresh and pretty! They usually have the tv on the travel channel or have some peaceful music playing. The massage chairs are all so nice too. Bring cash for tips and schedule your appointments because it can get busy! read more

Disappointing. Went in for pedicures with my two girls (11/13). Total was $113 . They barely scrubbed my feet. 30 second leg massage, if that. And asked for patriotic nails, showed several pics and ended up with this. My daughter could have done a better job at painting! I will not return. In addition, the woman was rude to customers who walked in. read more

9 Inch Nails - $40 pedicure. Terrible nail art. Kids could have done better. - Nail Salons Near Me - Lake Orion, Michigan

I have a hit or miss relationship with this place. I have been here over twenty times so in that respect I guess you could say that I keep coming back! BUT it depends on which staff member you happen to get. My experience has been that two of the males here are fantastic. However, I've had less than stellar experiences too. The pros are that it is clean and well-organized. Usually if you have an appointment it doesn't take a long time either. Today's pedi earned a solid four. The shellac I would give a 3.5 because it lasts less time than other places. read more

I've been looking for a nail tech like Natalie since I moved back to the area. She's very efficient with quality work. I Highly recommend.

Loooove getting my nails done here! It's clean, quick, and friendly! Natalie is the best! I won't go anywhere else, highly recommend!

Soooo disappointed! These are the worst pink and whites I have ever gotten. They're flat, flare up, and are super wide like duck's feet. Horrible shaping!!!! Natalie was my tech. I needed my old acrylics removed. She did not soak them off, she pried them off! My fingertips were so sore last night, and even today!!!! I used to see Sean at Star Nails in Clarkston and he was amazing. He sold and I am desperately searching for a new place that actually knows what they're doing. If you have a rockstar pink and white tech, please let me know!!!!! read more

My 10 year daughter went in for a polish change, but they said they had to charge her for a $14 manicure because they were no longer doing polish changes (even though i was told on the phone that they do) Further, most places charge less for a kids manicure. We would have walked right out, but this place was our only option for the day and her birthday treat. The woman was rude and rough- with a kid!! She left bubbles on the nails and polish isn't accurately painted on. This is shitty and unprofessional place. Stay away. read more

My experience at this salon was not good. I went in for a pedi and fill-in. I was greeted warmly by a gentleman. That was positive as I always like to be greeted when entering a business. However, the the pedicure was disappointing. First I had to say hello 3 times before she returned the greeting and after asking her what her name was a couple of times and getting no response, I gave up. She didn't shave the dead skin off my heels and when I asked her why she said I didn't need it. I definitely did. The rest of the pedicure was hurried and the polish chipped the following day. The fill looked pretty the day of but my fingernails also chipped two days later because the polish was so thin. I have these services done all the time (not here), so I know what I should have gotten. I will never return. read more

Used to be a loyal customer. Left for a while and returned for a pedicure. 20 minute pedicure..... inquired whether the heels and callouses were done due to such a rush job. The response was, "yes". Not so. So disappointed and I really wanted to say something great. Now I remember why I left... Lesson learned read more

Lady was rude when I was explaining what I want she said no and did what she wanted. I've been here many times, over the past few years. Overall, it's my favorite nail salon in the area. They are fast, nice, and always do a good job. The techs are not chatty and I've been treated rudely on a couple occasions but out of the years I've been going here (under past ownership and new ownership) I've liked it. They do a great job with acrylics - they are thin and always the right length. They don't accept tips on a credit card which is a little inconvenient but I think that's pretty normal with many nail salons. read more

Most uncomfortable manicure I've ever experienced. This salon has ZERO customer service skills. They speak so quietly here, if makes you wonder if you've gone deaf. The man who did my manicure clearly hated his job because he was rude and rolled his eyes often. He also was very rough with my nails and made me bleed. Will never return to this miserable establishment. read more

I've been going there for about 3 years now. Hannah is the only one who is kind to me. I am a 21 year old women and I don't like confrontation. Today I went in and got my nails done. Hannah did a very great job. I have no issues with her. It was the other women who has short hair and is very tiny. When I was paying she started yelling at me in front of other customers because she didn't know how to work her new card machine. I was patient and asked if I could pay half with a gift card and the rest with debit. She charged the gift card 45.00 and the new balance I had to pay was 21.58 so I gave her my debit. She then asked me to pay again 45.00 I said no I already paid abs showed her my bank statement. She said this is a new machine I don't know if I took the money out. I said it's right here and showed her again. I asked for the receipt and she wouldn't show me and said I have to pay the 45.00 and call the gift card company to make sure it took it out. I said it did because the total came out and I owed 21.58 and I paid. She started yelling at me and I started to cry because I didn't do anything wrong and I was overwhelmed by her yelling at me and I didn't want to pay twice. I will never go back here. I did nothing wrong and was treated so poorly after being a customer for 3 years. read more

Well. Here is my opinion I have been to this place three or 4 times. Im not a gotta have nails all the time kinda gal i like the work they do however the lack of customer attention is mind boggling. i called to make appointment. Gal answers the phone with her wireless headset while filing someones nails, i can hear the file. Ok. Each time I have been, I feel like a person on a conveyer belt getting pushed through. No talking, the staff speaks among themselves in their language. Rude if you ask me. Ignore customers and speak in a language customers dont understand. Are they talking about me? They dont take tips on credit card!! You must have cash. Today I forgot cash cuz I dont go often, I asked if I could write a check for tip, annoyed the lady said. We have ATM next door. Ok. Bub bye never again. I am the customer your salon should cater to me. Not me to you! - also while the person was finishing up my nails. The manager was urging him to hurry up, more than once. His next client was there. the tech had 5 minutes to go before I was done and Im not kidding three times she nugged him. Never again will I visit this place. Never. Sadly for them there are 100 nail places around. ill go elsewhere. Its like drive thru nails. No thanks read more

Stopped in for a polish manicure yesterday after work. From color pick out to dry it took about 25min, and the best part is that it looks amazing! The new owners are very professional, courteous and meticulous - who could ask for more in a nail salon! The ambiance and lighting in the salon are far better than I've seen from other salons in the area. The soft colors and warm lighting are comforting, relaxing and cozy which is great because getting my nails done gives me time to relax. So happy to have a great new nail salon near my house. I'll most certainly be back! read more

This is my new go to for nails. I have acrylics and am super picky about my shaping. Natalie does the best job! Trish was pretty good too. Ben and Natalie are the owners. Nice and friendly. I usually make an appointment because they can get busy and as a walk in you could be waiting a while. Lots of colors to choose from, comfy spa like feel, pleasant background music. Give it a try. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star let alone 5! When I went to get them done I usually get the same thing every place I go. (Schlack, stiletto and 2 or 3 different colors) not very hard or complicated. Tell me why she was shaping my nails without even putting the actual gel stuff on it. So ofc not even three days after getting them done they were coming off and not to mention they charged me FIFTY DOLLARS. For the shittiest set of nails I ever ever received in my life and they also didn't put shlack on my nails because they chipped within three days of me having them on! Complete bullshit I definitely will not ever return to this place. Not to mention there were bubbles on ALL of my nails read more

My experience here was pretty nice. The atmosphere here is beautiful for a nail salon! It was very clean and nicely decorated. My manicurist was Snow (spelling?)!and she was nice and did a pretty good job on my hand painted French, acrylic, shellac manicure. I was pleased that when I called, they said they would make time for me to walk in. My only complaint is that I'm not familiar with the area and when I mapped it, it appeared on the Maps app to be way further down than it actually is. read more

Owner is nice, but workers are not inviting and don't talk, girl I had kept checking her phone. 9 Inch Nails - Nails were left like this, I've never been to a place there they didn't clean up the backs - Nail Salons Near Me - Lake Orion, Michigan

Horrible customer service, rude, and obviously does not stand by their work. I had a dip manicure on Wednesday and one of my nails chipped by Saturday morning. I went back right away to have that one nail that was chipped repaired and was told by the rude female worker that since it was a Saturday they would not fix my one nail because "other people were coming in". When I asked when they would have a time available they said they weren't sure and to come later. I asked if I could make an appointment for later and they said they don't take appointments. How do they not take appointments but know "other people are coming"? I called later that day to see if it was a good time to come in and they, again, rudely told me no. I asked when it would be a good time that day and the same rude female said "how am I supposed to know, it is a Saturday". I reminded her that they are the ones that originally did my nails three days before and it had already chipped. She still was rude and told me since it was a Saturday they could not accommodate me because "others were coming". I decided to try another salon in Lake Orion and they happily welcomed me and took care of my nail in less than 10 minutes. They were shocked the salon that originally did my nails would have been so dismissive and rude. Needless to say, I will not be going back and will take my business to the salon in Lake Orion. read more

I went to LA and had my nails done over there and I absolutely loved them and I was looking to for a place here, where I could find the same quality. I had glitter (actual glitter not just glitter nail polish) on my nails and I know that trend isn't out here yet but I was hoping that maybe I could find a place that did it the same. So I tried this nail salon because of all the great reviews. This place is great, I would give it 5 stars but I they didn't have what I was looking for but other than that I had a great experience. This nail salon is really nice. It's clean and it feel homey. I was great as soon as I walked in and I didn't have to wait at all since I went early. I believe my nail tech was Tina. She was kinda quite but that really doesn't bother me. She was quick to help me and tried to her to do the best she could to give me what I was looking for. She did a great job on my nails. She was quick and the cost is what you would pay on average. I would recommend this nail salon. The only bad thing was they only take cash tip and I only had my debit card I felt awful. I'll make it up to her next time because I will be a returning costumer. read more

This place is clean-ish (they did bleach pedicure tubs but stations aren't very clean) and staff is quick and friendly. My only real compliant is with my shellac manicure. I've had countless shellac applications with no issues. They always last 2 weeks until I get it taken off. The shellac manicure I got here started peeling after 1 day! One week later most of my nails are peeling, very disappointed. I feel as if the right base coat wasn't used or something. I will not be going back for this particular service. read more

9 Inch Nails - Peeling after a few days with shellac manicure. Very disappointing! - Nail Salons Near Me - Lake Orion, Michigan

Went in with a picture in mind on what I wanted. I walk in and show them and they said they could find a tech. to do it. They sat me down and prepared my feet for a pedicure. Finally after walking around they decided to tell me while I was stuck in the chair that they couldn't do the art that o wanted because of the shape of my nails. Why wouldn't you tell me that beforehand? I ended up going with a French manicure, something that I didn't even want initially. Don't care for how they do business here. Not coming back. read more

I've been to 9 Inch Nails on many occasions, but the last time I got my nails done was a disaster. I made an appointment and was seated right away. I wanted some color on my nails, so I just got them painted with the normal polish. No acrylic or gel-- nothing that would have damaged my nail beds. The polish lasted the normal amount of time, but my nails started to hurt really bad a few days after getting them done at 9 Inch Nails. I felt a lot of pressure starting at the bed of my nails. Then, the unthinkable happened. My nail beds started dying and it was very painful--as seen in the photos. I went to urgent care and they asked if I had gotten my nails done recently. When I told them I had, they said that it was a nail-fungal infection, most likely from their tools/workspace not being cleaned properly. I was prescribed an antibiotic to stop the infection. But sadly, there was no hope for my dying nails. Those took a few months to begin looking normal again. I wrote this review to warn others about going to 9 Inch Nails. I've read other reviews on Google about how dirty it was in the salon. I will never be going to 9 Inch Nails again. read more

If you want a full set/ fill don't go here. They had one good guy who could do them and now he's gone. I keep trying again and keep spending $40-45 dollars and my nails look like trash repeatedly. They're fine for a pedicure/manicure but if you want or need something that takes more skill, go somewhere else.
