I tried M Nails on Baldwin road in Orion Township for the first time today. While the staff was…read morevery nice and my tech did a good job, I watched as they "cleaned" the footbath after my pedicure. I did not see any kind of disinfectant used, all I saw was a tech who used what looked like a Mr. Clean white foam sponge to wipe out the footbath, followed by a hand towel to dry it. He then refilled the footbath and the next customer was seated. They don't use the plastic liners that other salons use. When he was done with the white sponge he tossed it back into the drawer my nail tech keeps her tools in while it was still dripping wet. Sorry, but that doesn't sound like proper cleaning to me. If they cleaned and disinfected properly I would be a return customer, but I won't take the chance of picking up a fungus when there are other salons to choose from.

In regard to the pedicure, it wasn't my favorite. They have a menu to select the type of pedicure you want (classic up charge scheme) . Unfortunately even though every pedicure on the menu has a description including a massage, the woman giving me a pedicure didn't give me a massage, she just wrapped my legs and feet in warm towels. It was also just far from relaxing, every time she would dry or wipe my feet with the towel, it was with excessive force. So in conclusion, great for manicures however I dont recommend a pedicure here.

I find that a lot of salons will rush through the service and only use one hot towel for both legs but that didn't happen here! They took their time and also gave a great massage! I got there this morning and was immediately sat down and getting started to get worked on by one of the techs. Then a lot of people began showing up all within 5 min increments. I can tell she was rushing, the quality of the fill wasnt the best and i didnt really get what i wanted. She told me she could do it, but i feel like there was little effort to get the results i wanted, due to her rushing. I began just going along with what she was doing after already telling her its not what i wanted because at this point i was overstimulated and disappointed. I asked for an ombre with white and pink cateye. This is not what I wanted and can tell it was done quickly compared to sets ive gotten with them in the past. The crome or the cateye polish isnt blended and the builder gel looks splotchy. I am so sad, this was supposed to be a relaxing treat after being home all day with my baby, but it was chaotic, stressful, and disappointing. The screenshot is what i wanted and the 2 pics following are the results. If you go, highly recommend making an appointment and to go on a day when theyre not as busy.
