This salon does not stand behind their work. My gel manicure lasted 3-5 days on five fingers! The owner, Julie, stated that that was normal and that a DIP would last longer. She also said that if you "use your hands" then that determines how long it will last! I was a returning client, been there over a dozen times and she did not care that this gel only lasted 3-5 days! This place is going to need some work. Pros- everything is nearly new. It's new ownership and new massage chairs and desk lights. As to be expected. Cons- lighting is the drab medical office fluorescent lights that are anything but relaxing. White walls aren't helping. There also seems to be a huge language barrier, I get it, I do but it's pretty bad. My first trip (there were two)... time in the wait was next to nothing. Upon pulling up, everyone was on their phones looking like they were going to fall asleep. One person getting their nails done. I was asked what I wanted and I said a mani/pedi. It's a free mom day for me so I'm treating myself! I was sat down in he chair and paired with the old man that was asleep in the chair in the back when I pulled up. They quickly had me pick out colors and I felt talked into this "dip" nail process. Why not spoil myself. They were running a special too so that was nice. I picked out their top pedicure option with massage and paraffin and warm towel. And they smiled and nodded, gave me a water bottle and that's about it. I looked around for a massage controller, asked the man, he just smiled and nodded "ok" but nothing. So I sat there another 15 minutes before I was handed a controller for the chair that was wrapped and tucked behind the chair. Completely out of sight. There went 15 mins of back massage, which sometimes is the only reason you wanna go! I told the older man and the young man how I like my feet to be treated, smiled nodded ok ok... I repeated myself twice more, each time after i had given them time to adjust. Still nothing changed. Well ok then! I got a very sad massage - you know the thing I paid extra for. He rolled the incredibly hot wax that was in bags on my legs and feet before putting my feet in the bags. I voiced discomfort and again, "smile oh ok ok". No change. They finished up my feet and moved me over to start my nails. Now anyone that's had a proper pedicure, knows that amazing feeling, I didn't get that feeling. I asked for a full manicure. I had the same old man that did my feet for my nails. I was not looking forward to it. My other options were busy. The older woman was engrossed in her laptop along with the young man that was at the front "floor managing" and the young girl was with the only other client. Old man it is. The dip method he used was awful. Terrible job at a manicure. Same sensation I felt when he finished my feet. "Ugh" I repeated myself more times than I can count that I want my nails done thin. I don't want them thick. I commented on the shape of my nails a few times. I ended up taking the nail file from him to fix my nail for him! The mother and young girl ended up coming over to swoon over my nails and how pretty they look and the color. I sat with a defeated fake smile knowing I am going to regret all of this. I paid them. I even left a tip because I felt bad. Sure enough. Once I got home I had to fix my pedicure as best as I could. It was ridiculous. And my nails? They had blobs on the side and they were so thick I couldn't pick anything flat off the ground. I had to wait to have my nails redone until Monday. By Monday 3 of my nails had peeled off. I looked up the proper way to "dip". And NONE of it involves the gel top coat. The dip method is a top layer, clear layer, polish layer not quite to the cuticle , dip, polish layer to the normal polish line, dip, polish clear (or another color dip), polish. Then they buff and then seal with 2 top coats. YouTube the method. I walked in and they assured me they would fix it. I sat in awkward silence as she fixed the awful mistake. Rushing and not doing a very good job herself. I tried to talk to her about things to fix it for next time, no response. Old man was sleeping in the chair again, old woman in front of the computer, two younger guys were floor managing or on their phones. I won't be going back. I won't be recommending this to anyone. Harsh criticism but seriously. When nail salons are around every corner you should do better about the "experience". Especially when you're given direction, told that it's a splurge day and you're there to relax! read more

Found them on Yelp, so I called and was able to get in the same day. I got my first ever dip treatment, which I heard tends to be much thicker, but Julie did an excellent job making it nice and thin and natural. She did a great job keeping the length I wanted and the shape I wanted! I loved everything! She was also super friendly and just made the experience better! I'll definitely be back! read more

The place looks brand new inside and they have a couple of little snack which is really nice. The staff was friendly enough but not super engaging. I gave a low score because the polish changed from purple to green the next day and to brown the day after that. The same thing happened to my friend that had a different initial color than the one I chose. read more

wow shocked at the attitude and poor performance of this place. dirty towels, disgusting bottles and brushes - old product and not a smile to be had until it was time to pay. dip powder dried in the cuticles and overall sloppy work and they didn't even have me wash my hands prior to "massaging" moisturizer into my dip powder covered hands. i feel like i got to worst person there as every other technician seems to have a clean station and happy customers. would never go back read more

They really do a fantastic job! I came in as a walk in and I had something in mindthat I couldn't quite explain, but they were able to achieve EXACTLY what I wanted. This was my favorite salon until my last few visits. I used to love how clean they were. Same people working, but now it isn't as clean. Tools don't seem to be refreshed for each client. The hand massage at the end is done with dirty bare hands covered in nail dust. The lotion gets grimey. Pretty gross. Blossom in Troy is super clean but you need an appt. read more

Called for an appt and they were able to accommodate. That's the only saving grace for this place and now I see why. I picked out a shellac color and the woman grabbed the dip powder. I told her I didn't want dip - just shellac. She sighed and got the polish, wrong color initially. I had to ask more than once for her to cut my nails down, I keep them shorter. She painted the shellac onto the cuticle so they have already peeled, less than 3 days after getting them done. Bottom line, if you don't want to offer a service you don't have to. I really wanted to like this place since it's so close and previous reviews were decent. I'm a very easy going and understanding person, but I have given them 3 chances and left disappointed every time. The first pedicure I received was okay. I got a deluxe and and it was pretty quick and rushed. Not a big deal, they were busy. My issue was the price was very high to be rushed though the way it was, and they didn't remove all of the wax off before painting the nails. I waited 45 minutes under the light and it was still smudging. It was winter so I couldn't leave in the little foam dividers. They wouldn't fix it or wash the wax off and told me "should be good enough" after it was still visibly not ready. I get that they wanted to start cleaning to leave, I also would have loved to leave, but I was hoping to have dry nails before doing so... I just put my boots and socks on and left. I gave up and just repainted them at home. Other time was also just okay. The most recent time was the final straw. We called and they assured us they could do two deluxe pedicures as well as a mini pedicure (just polish and letting her put her feet in the tub to feel like a big girl). My entire pedicure took about 5-10 minutes and was the least relaxing experience. The second I had my feet in the water, she pulled them out and began. The skin wasn't exactly soft yet, so felt a bit rough and she did not do nearly enough exfoliation even though that was my main concern. Next she put a pump or two of lotion on my skin, didn't rub it in, and threw a hot towel on me. She walked away for a decent amount of time and it was so uncomfortably cold. Nothing deluxe about the experience and nothing extra was done as the last time, so it was obvious they were just trying to get quantity or quality. We figured they had just misunderstood and received regular pedicures. Not mad at that, it happens. What did anger us is that the two mediocre 10 minute pedicures and a 4 year old having her toes painted cost somewhere over $125. I have absolutely no problem paying for a good pedicure, but this felt extremely steep for what we received. It was a huge bummer since it was the day before having to get a very restrictive surgery, so I was lookin forward to getting it done since I cannot touch my feet for months. I will say that they are good about walk-ins and last minute needs, but you are definitely going to compromise on quality. read more

I just moved into my new house and Me and my friend lives 20mins away from the nail shop. And when we heard that it was gonna open soon me and my friend went there to see what it's like. First when I stepped in the doorway they greeted me. I asked for a dip. When she took out the dip powder I was so shocked when I didn't smell any chemicals in the shop like other nail salons. The only thing that they needed to work on was the language. I would recommend you coming here because my nails are super nice. read more
