I tried M Nails on Baldwin road in Orion Township for the first time today. While the staff was very nice and my tech did a good job, I watched as they "cleaned" the footbath after my pedicure. I did not see any kind of disinfectant used, all I saw was a tech who used what looked like a Mr. Clean white foam sponge to wipe out the footbath, followed by a hand towel to dry it. He then refilled the footbath and the next customer was seated. They don't use the plastic liners that other salons use. When he was done with the white sponge he tossed it back into the drawer my nail tech keeps her tools in while it was still dripping wet. Sorry, but that doesn't sound like proper cleaning to me. If they cleaned and disinfected properly I would be a return customer, but I won't take the chance of picking up a fungus when there are other salons to choose from. read more

I recently moved to the area and was in desperate need of a new nail salon. The reviews made me feel a little weary but I decided to go anyway. This is now my second time here and I am pleased with my experience. The people are nice and they have a great selection of regular polish and gel. I get shellac and it is a great price $15 and they look nice and neat. The workers really take their time to do a great job. I definently recommend this nail salon. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Walked in for a mani/pedi. The place was empty (that should have been my first sign not to go here). I asked her for a full set because my nails were too short to get a shellac. She didn't cut my cuticles down. She rounded out my nails (which is what I asked for) but they weren't even or symmetrical. I went to the pedicure chairs to finish my mani (which I thought was weird). She was rushing so much that the polish was so streaky and uneven and she didn't clean up the polish from my skin or around the nails. My pedicure was subpar. They didn't use the liners in the tubs like most places and their tools weren't in packages - I think they just pulled them from jars where they were sitting in the blue solution. Not sanitary at all. To sum it up, I paid for a mani/pedi that looks like I could have done this at home. Even my friends noticed how awful they looked. I went back the next day to ask her to redo my manicure and she gave me attitude and kept telling me she did nothing wrong. She still wouldn't cut down my cuticles and did another sloppy paint job. I will never be returning here, since they rushed through my service so quickly with no concern to customer satisfaction. Do not waste your money here. read more

I gave this place a try after working three doors down for four years. I came back a fee times as theres never any wait and it makes my life easy. Im assuming the owner is the older gentleman with glasses and the tattoo on his arm. He did my nails everytime, shape was great, with the exception that they were all different lengths each time. Not only that but i got my nails done for vacation, leaving the place they looked as if i hadnt got a fill in a week, upon leaving a nail BROKE OFF SO EASY I DIDNT EVEN FEEL IT. Given my natural nails are long and i get gel over them, i normally feel when a nail breaks. When i went in and told him it was broken and i was disappointed with the rest of my nails he slapped acrylic on my nail (no tip) and didnt file it down. I wanted to cry it looked so bad and chunky. And i KNOW he did it on purpose because he wasnt happy about the fact i was open to him about how my nails already looked terrible. Everytime i get a pedi my nails are literally PEELING with in three days. Hes so rude to the other workers there as ive literally watched him make one of his employees start to cry. I am so disappointed. The females do great work. Him, on the other hand, hes just in it fpr the money. I will continue to take my business somewhere else. read more

I paid $75.00 for a pedicure and manicure and after two days the nails were chipping at the cuticles. When I went in the lady said I could come back and my nails would be fixed. When I did the fellow completely ignored me and after awhile I left. There is never anyone in there and I can see why. Plus they did a terrible job on my French nails. If you want a professional job go elsewhere. read more

Best place around! The owners do your nails not someone else! They are the best at what they do. I will go with a broken nail or bad manicure, before I go anywhere else. I went somewhere else while I was traveling a couple months back and they made my nails thick and chunky, NEVER AGAIN! At M nails they make your nails look amazing and natural. Love it! Pedicures are great as well! I always get a French manicure for both hands and feet and have them hand paint them instead of airbrush and looks soooo good! I always get compliments. I would like to say that I have high standards for services, especially for hair and nails. These r services I do for myself but other people see it. I'm am terribly disappointed in the services I received at this salon. The chairs were strange, not very relaxing, my pedi was mediocre and chipping already (4 days later) and my gel manicure sucks. My cuticles were barely trimmed and it's already peeling. I've had many gel manicures and I can go up to three weeks with out a single chip from other places. They over charge and under deliver and they are not nice. Pretty rude actually. read more

One of the best salons in all of Lake Orion! They by far have the best nail prices, have the nicest staff, and work very efficiently. When they say the wait time is 5 minutes, they mean 5 minutes, not 10, not 20, 5. They do my nails perfectly every time, and I refuse to go anywhere else for my manicures or my eyebrows! Two stars. One for cleanliness and one for swiftness. But they are incompetent and overpriced. I had to show her how to take off my Opi Gels ( she didn't scratch the top coat off). I would have sat in acetone for days! Also, the price was ridiculous. $30 for a gel manicure. No hand massage, no cuticle oil. Will try another shop. read more

I'll start my review by saying the people here were very nice. But there are a lot of nice people in the world, they all don't do great pedicures and this is one of those places. For $28 I got a luke warm tub of water and not much else. My cuticles weren't pushed down at all and there was minimal trimming (and I needed it). My callouses were barely touched. I'm feeling my heels right now and they're still rough and uneven. Then the massage - they just lathered oil and rubbed my legs for about 30 seconds each. No scrub was used, no massage on my legs or feet, just rubbed oil. Then the paint - they barely cleaned off the oil from my nail so I'm sure the paint will peel by the end of the week. I picked a light color and there weren't enough coats used to cover my nail. They also didn't use the toe separators. My polish is all over my toes with no clean up. For the price, it was a disappointing visit...but I did get a bottle of cold water, that was nice. Though I was hopefully but won't be back. read more
