Been consistently coming for 2 years now and I'm obsessed! With my old salon my nails were constantly chipping even though I was using dip/gel, and now they can last up to 4-5 weeks. They're pretty up to date on all nail trends and have such a wide selection of colors, so I always leave with exactly what I wanted!! Highly recommend! read more

DO NOT go here if you want any designs. the first time I went I got a basic white french tip and it was good (i think Bentley did it im not sure tho). When I went back to get a fill, I asked for a design -- nothing crazy... i showed the picture and said "can you do this?" the woman doing my nails said "mhm" and then somehow managed to absolutely botch the entire design and then proceeded to act like it was exactly carbon copy like the picture I showed her and charged $75 for it . I never went back after that and got them redone at a different place the next morning. They need better communication regarding what they're capable of doing. Nice ppl tho ig. read more

Updating my review: Went today to take acrylics off and get a manicure and pedicure. I'm not sure where to start with this horrible experience.... First I had a lady named "Annie", I wanted a basic mani/pedi but she constantly tried to up charge me with dip or shellac and I constantly had to tell her no, to the point I felt harassed and pressured. However, as she was cutting my toenails, she CRACKED my two large toenails and had the audacity to say they were cracked beforehand which they were not, I take great care of my hands, feet and nails. Due to HER cracking my nail bed, she up charged me for powder to keep the nails intact. I told her I wanted white on my hands and feet and she said it'll look ugly/trashy and I should upgrade to shellac or dip instead, to which I once again reiterated no. I just wanted the acrylics off, she said "one week, two week, no make difference. It's prettier with acrylic." To which I AGAIN stated no. This pushy attitude was over the top and nothing that I've had ever experienced in any salon in my entire life. I left there upset, unsatisfied and disappointed and paid $70 for a basic mani/pedi. Once I leave, I then call the salon, ask to speak to an owner to both rectify the situation and bring this unprofessional behavior to her attention. The owner was professional, understanding and stated she would refund the cost and speak with the nail tech. I had to go in to pick up my money and the lady that handed me my money said "you know what, in the future you no fit for us and are not welcome". To add insult to injury after all they did, she had the AUDACITY to tell me that I wasn't welcome there... even though I'd never step foot into that salon again, it's the attitude of it all and the nerve she had as a worker to tell me this. So I get my money, leave and immediately call the owner once again to inform her of this and she was upset. I believe the owner is based out of California, and may not be as involved with the other employees to know how poorly some of them treat their customers but I'm glad I was able to speak with her to inform her. As I stated above, although the owner refunded my money for the services, the overall poor experience and bad attitude from Annie was enough to make me never step foot into the salon nor recommend to anyone. Salons are plentiful in the area, with much better customer service skills. read more

I never feel comfortable in this salon as a person of color. During my last visit, I was waited on last, and when I was finally summoned over to a chair, I was passed along during the appointment to another nail tech who cut my cuticles, causing them to bleed (with no apology). When she was done, she returned to her original client without saying a word, so I had to manage the fan to dry my nails on my own. I will not return. read more

I owner is extremely rude. I had made an appointment for Sunday I called ahead of time to let them know I was running little late 10 minutes. Mind you Ive been a customer for few months thereTiffany always took care of me. When I arrived Tiffany seemed surprised I was there and the owner questioned me about my appointment accused me of not having one asked what number I called said I called the wrong salon ..Then figured Out I did have one and was rude ordered me to come back hour later all along my Technician Tina had no one in her chair . He was rude and very ugly about it IWILL NEVER GO back there and will tell everyone about how rude and unprofessional they are at this nail salon!! Not to mention it really doesn't matter if you have an appointment, they don't care you sit there for hours anyways, and the place is filthy. I will call the health and state of Michigan on them. read more

Never had a bad experience here. I usually get a dip manicure every three weeks. I'm very hard in my nails and they usually last without any issues. Annie is my favorite but if she isn't available I see anyone who is. read more

I have never left a review, but with the unpleasant service I received, I made an exception. Making an appointment was not to difficult, but just like every nail salon, I had to wait. Some man had to do a soak off where I told him that it is builder gel, which needs to be filed a little more then dip before being soaked but they didn't listen. Soaked my hands in acetone for 30 minutes before they realized they needed to file off more. Then a lady took me, she was very rude and rough. I do not go on my phone and I actually pay attention because I would like to get out of the salon as soon as possible but she was just tugging and pulling on my hands. The station was so dirty and I, the customer, was cleaning it off. She was giving me attitude when I told I showed her the design I wanted because I didn't pick out the color. I have never had an issue with the nail tech picking out the colors until her. I told her multiple times to clean the edges and to get the fuzzy stuff on my fingers, but SHE NEVER LISTENED. I removed over ten fuzzy pieces off my nails and there are still some left as shown in photos. I could just tell by the way she was painting and not cleaning off the edges that they were going to left very quickly...which they did. I went July 21. That might seem reasonable, but they looked like this after three days. Brandi, did the flowers which were cute but the other lady was just very unprofessional and rude. My total visit took me 2 hours...crazy. I do recommend Brandi, but the other lady sits in the front row, second chair from the right I believe. Her name is Loan. read more

I got here to get a fill granted my nails are grown out one whole month because my nail tech in had Covid and I was trying to wait for her. This guy proceeds to spend my entire appointment telling me what terrible shape my nails are in and then nothing seems to be making them look better so I end up telling him to not do a full set because then he started telling me that the tips wouldn't stick, (i get full sets frequently). After making fun of my nails for about 20 minutes I had to ask him to stop and I ended up just getting a regular manicure because I just felt so uncomfortable. He kept telling me how much better he could make my nails look my current tech... But then at the end of the appointment he told me it was his first day back doing nails in 10 years... Definitely less than impressed and will not be coming back here. I felt so uncomfortable and the nail removal process was painful. read more

I've always admired the beauty of the Village of Rochester Hills, so while I was searching for a nail salon to stop at after a visit to Meadowbrook Hall, Creative Nail Too was the perfect place. First of all, it was very clean inside and had a nice, modern vibe. The staff members were all very friendly and immediately went to work on my manicure and pedicure. Sometimes, when you visit a busy salon, it's hard to find all the cool colors (their either in use, or at someones station) but not here!! They had all the pretty pinks, bold blues, great greens, and more. They also used the best brands like Essie and OPI. My pedicure and manicure came out beautifully and my toes lasted for weeks! I will definitely be back, even though it's a hike for me. read more

So, I have different salons I go to for different reasons. This is my first pick if I need my nails done in a hurry at the drop of a hat. I work 6 days a week and now and again Ill have a random day off, and this place never turns me down. Ive gotten a pedicure, manicure and calcium dip done here and Ive never been disappointed. Expect Rochester pricing but also pretty good work. read more

By far worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon in Rochester. Completely insanitary- watched technicians reuse tools that haven't been sanitized. Pedicure bowls were not sanitized between customers other than a light spray. The second they were done adding polish to my toes they had me get out of the chair. Very rushed and half ass. Absolutely disgusting and horrible experience! read more

The salon was ok. I may go back, but I may also try one of the other nail salons in the area. They were super busy and the space is very crowded. That being said, the prices were very reasonable, however my polish lasted less than a week. Not the best, not the worst, but ok in a pinch. read more

I'm only speaking for the girl who did my nails, and this was also my first time at this salon. I came in for a gel pedicure. Given that I haven't had one since last summer (because winter), I figured there would be a decent amount of skin/cuticle to be removed surrounding my nail beds. The entire pedicure took maybe 25 min. It was obvious she was trying to get through as many clients as possible in a short amount of time. And she only scrubbed one of my feet. Also, they only accept cash tips. Won't be back. read more

I paid $91 for a shellac mani/shallec pedi with a simple design for the mani. My nails looked just okay and I had to return a few days later since one of my gel fingernails came off. A proper manicure wasn't completed and my cuticles were untouched. My pedicure was also completed with minimal care and I was getting weird looks from my tech, which was super uncomfortable. The tech seemed irritated that I came back to get my nail fixed that came off after 2 days, and I was really turned off by the whole experience. The nail salon didn't seem clean and I'm just so angry I paid $91 for a crap job that didn't even last. I will not be returning. read more

I've had enough pedicures in my day to tell you when I feel like I'm not getting what I feel like I paid for. There's a few things I look for when I go, and this place didn't hit at least two of the big "markers" that do it for me. For starters, the place was packed to the gills when I was there. Plenty of women in and out for mani's and pedis. I had to wait about 10 minutes to get in a chair, which I was fine with. The place is clean, plenty of staff working hard, place is well decorated you get it. But, the pedicure was a whopping 30 minutes. Flag number one. I didn't feel rushed, but a good pedicure on average, takes about 45 minutes to an hour for most women. 30 minutes made me feel like something got skipped or cut short. Second red flag. I get really dry skin on my heels, so when the tech gets to that part where she buffs out your feet, I'm used to the cheese grater to get all the dead skin off my heels. Instead she brought out this hand razor that I use at home and scrapped away. I asked her to keep scraping but she was afraid to hurt me. I SAID HAVE AT IT LADY. If I could get my heels to look nice again, I wouldn't be here. I can't keep up at times, so I pay for a good pedicure. I need you to scrape ALL the dead skin off my heels. PLEASE. I would go back here again, but I hesitate because of the two reasons I listed above. $30 for a 30 minute pedi seems awefully quick, and even though my feet look great, I think I would only come here again because I know my mom loves them here. read more

When I first came here about 2 years ago they didn't do an amazing job on my nails and so I never went back until yesterday... I have to say I have never had a nail artist make the nails to fit my nail beds so perfectly because I have super small nails they look amazing and actually fit my hand I wish I got the name of the guy who did them but I am so happy and obsessed with them would 100% recommend them now. read more

I came to get my broken nail fixed because my usual nail tech wasn't available. This is what I got. He didn't shape it and lied to me when I asked if they had white acrylic. I understand that long nails can be hard to do but I would've appreciated if he just told me he couldn't do it instead of leaving me with this. read more

Went in for shellac for the first time about a week ago. Left and was very happy they looked great! The reason I'm leaving only 2 stars is because 8-9 days later 3 nails have already chipped. Disappointing because normally I can wear shellac for 2 1/2-3 weeks without any chipping. UPDATE: Went back and tried them again, a week later they still look great!! The guy was very friendly and spent a lot of time on my nails. (I did not mention my previous not so good experience while I was in) Really glad I gave them another try! read more

He also did a very poor job in shaping my nails and did not even push back my cuticles, he said they were fine. I think he was hurrying because a pedicure came in which would be a bigger ticket item. After being a loyal client for nearly two years, my recent encounter was appalling. On December 26, 2024, Anya canceled my fill-in appointment due to illness, which I understood. However, her dismissive and hostile response when I tried to reschedule was unprofessional and rude. When I reached out about my nails lifting and needing urgent attention, Anya's reply was focused on her personal situation rather than my needs. After escalating the issue to the owner, I was contacted by someone named Maggie, who they claimed was the salon manager yet for the 1 1/2 years I was there never had I heard of said manager nor a manager existing at all. Conveniently enough magically, there was a manager to handle my complaint when I contacted the Abby. Maggie messaged me who not only refused to offer a solution but also told me I was no longer a "fit" for the salon. This unprofessional dismissal ended my long-standing relationship with them, and I was left without the services I had already paid for. What was worse, there is a toxic, "mean girl" atmosphere at this salon. The staff is fake to your face and talks behind your back. They make the client out to be in the wrong falsely implied that I had made unreasonable demands in the past, which is not the case. I have text messages to proof my assertion, Instead of taking responsibility for the subpar service, Anya deflected and failed to offer a constructive solution. They stick together, no matter who is in the wrong. If a client voices a legitimate concern, the staff shuts them down, and as soon as any complaint arises, they retaliate by refusing service. This entire ordeal caused significant emotional distress and financial loss, as I had to seek another salon for repairs at extra cost and inconvenience. I was never offered a chance to resolve the issue, nor was I compensated for my losses. If you're considering this salon, be cautious. The lack of professionalism, the toxic environment, and how they treat their clients is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sugarcoat Nail Loft.

They pay attention to detail and ensure that you have a good experience every time. They pay attention in conversations and remember details you shared for next time. They build relationships with costumers. They are quick and efficient. I always ask for Nina. I enjoy talking to her, but I also just think she does an amazing job. I have also been serviced by Julie, Lisa and Dan and they all do a great job and are always very kind to me. The owner is very kind and soft spoken, which is not always the case at nail salons. I would highly recommend checking them out!!

Was hoping to spend some time with my sisters getting pampered with pedicures but not today. As we…read moregot into our chairs I was not greeted or asked which pedicure I wanted. I was planning on splurging and getting the most expensive pedicure but turns out i got the cheapest and quickest. I timed it started at 1:58- 2:11 start to finish. Hardly got a massage or pumice stone scrub. After she finished she just left never to be seen till we paid. I sat there for about 20 min while my sisters were still getting their massages. Have to say I was a bit jealous. My nail tech ended up getting a not so good tip she should work on her customer service! Terrible! Never will be back

It did appear that they were understaffed, as we needed to do our appointments one after another, instead both at the same time, which worked out okay, but was unanticipated considering that we did specify that we had two people. My sister went first, and Kevin took care of her. He would not speak to us and was watching Roblox with his headphones on the whole time. When exfoliating her feet, he went too hard and her toe started bleeding (see pic). The painting part itself looks good, but it was smudged and she called him back over to touch it up. As per mine, I had a woman do mine around 30 minutes into the appointment when she was done with her client. I was excited because I had been watching her with her previous customer and she seemed so amicable. When she came over, I asked her if she was going to do the full exfoliation, cuticle cutting etc (because I had an ingrown toenail that was hurting me) and she started yelling at me that what I was asking her to do would be illegal and she was not permitted to do. Obviously, there was some miscommunication, but I did not appreciate being yelled at. Once she understood what I was asking, she settled down, and I tried to make conversation but she wouldn't talk to me which was overall awkward. I do like how mine turned out, but I did not enjoy how either of us were treated. We did get out in an hour which worked out, but overall, the customer service and communication aspects were incredibly lacking. We chose to go here because they were open on Sundays, but if you're looking in the area for a nail salon on another day, I feel that there are a variety of alternatives that are better. My sister's toe is starting to scab now, but we were concerned about it getting infected and we did need to use a bandaid afterwards. The one thing I will give them is that I changed my mind from a manicure to a pedicure when I came in and they did not care about it that.
