Mahalo to Walter for helping my mom and I convert old 8mm reel tapes of my family's childhood memories to dvds!! Very affordable and super friendly service!! Will definately come back to covert my vhs tapes to dvds! Check it out!! read more

I submitted a yelp request for a quote but my mom and I were headed out to that side of the island so I dropped the cassette tape off and was told to come back in a few days. Quickly I got a response with the quote and I said I'd actually dropped it off already. He responded that it was his kind of music - and it made me smile. My dad was a great guitar player and he passed away 3 years ago. My mom found an old cassette recording of his band playing Tom Petty and Talking Head's songs. I wanted a digital copy to have forever, I miss listening to him play. My mom picked up the CD with a white label and a clip art black silhouette of a band. They gave us two, said they used 2 different methods and to keep the one we thought sounded better and do whatever we want with the other. I've been listening to it over and over, and I'm so happy that I decided to go to 808Burners and keep the music alive. They did a great job, for a great price, with excellent communication. Recommended for your most prized memories! Mahalo again. read more

Even though it took a week longer than estimated it was worth the wait. Will use them again.

Very friendly and quick service. I highly recommend this place. Thanks again for having my product ready in time for my hubby's birthday! He was extremely happy with the finished product and I am grateful that you guys were able to restore that one tape to save that precious irreplaceable footage of his family memories it really means a lot. Thanks a million! read more

Because this place is the best, hands down. And they sell ice cream and stuff on the side. lol! Brittany's cool & her son is adorable!

I desperately needed surveillance video transferred to a DVD for a police case & couldn't do it myself. I called, talked to Walter who said to come on in. Thank goodness they open at night. Walter got right on it & 30 minutes later, the job was done. I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was. Very easy to talk to, kick back atmosphere & very knowledgeable. He even showed me how to do it myself. Easy to find & lots of free parking right in front. Would definitely recommend for anything computer related. read more

Friendly professional service and reasonable pricing! Had an old lp we bought at Jelly's and wanted it converted to cd. We hadn't listened to it yet, having no record player, so Walter let us listen to it on his. Noticed some hiss but was assured that he could minimize this without sacrificing the tonal qualities of the original. Promised to have it done by the next day and was true to his word. We are very pleased with the results; no hiss and very little skips (the lp is over 50 years old). Walter also put the album cover on the cds. Very cool looking. Well worth the drive from town. read more

They did a amazing job on an old family VHS, made a very lovely DVD. They were quick and speedy.

Just got two passport photos done, and all I can say is gosh that was easy, fast and convenient. Forgot going to a place like Costco. This place is awesome! read more

Excellent service, fast, affordable, quality. They went the extra mile to add photos that were on the VHS to the DVD. Friendly and highly recommended. read more

This should have been posted a long time ago, but would like t give a high recommendation for 808 Burners! Walter goes beyond! I don't know how he makes money, when he tried everything to help ME save money. My daughter and I wanted to do a video slideshow for her grad party but her videos were old and we were struggling to transfer the videos. In order to save money, he let us take home his only old camcorder, no charge or deposit, and come back. When we returned he sat down and gave us instructions as to transferring to thumb drive using his equipment. There was a minimal charge and I hope everyone tips him because, like I said, I don't know how he makes money, with him being so kind and generous! Thank you Walter! May your generosity and kindness return to you tenfold! And yes, this is a late review, but never forgotten! read more

Needed to get a very short, important video transferred to dvd, and was helped with great service. I don't really know much about memory cards and things but Walter made me feel comfortable, asking questions and explaining things to me. Took about 10 minutes for my dvd to be finished and I'm very satisfied. Will be going back to do vhs transfers soon. Thanks again! read more

Walter is very friendly and shows so much aloha... Modest establishment but I Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Ruby's so cool too! Would've loved to see her new Sally Jessica Raphael's glasses tho. #JulyBabiesRock read more

808Burners - Walter doing his magic on this old school projector - Digitizing Services Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

I needed to make copies of my grandfather's funeral dvd and I couldn't find a place that could do it. Finally,I came across 808Burners. I'm so glad I did. They went above and beyond from what I expected. Besides the fact that the make copies DVD to DVD, their customer service was unreal, very friendly and flexible staff. Walter asked me how soon I needed it, and if I needed it that same day, since I needed it that day, he put my order in before the other workload he had. LOVE IT! I thought I had to wait weeks for it to be done. Their prices were better than I had expected also. I got 3 copies for $21! Thats a deal for me, considering I couldn't find any other places to do it for me. I will definitely be returning here to transfer my old cassettes to DVDs I got lying around the house. If you go, you will NOT be disappointed. read more

Feels good to support a small business instead of going to Costco and mail my precious family VHS tapes away. I used the Yelp deal easily. 808 Burners have friendly service with a smile. I was so happy to finally watch my family VHS tapes on DVD. I haven't viewed them in years. I was worried because of a bit of mold on one VHS but they were able to save it. I will return. Mahalo! read more

ive been looking for a place like this forever!!! i had a load of priceless old family videos, wedding VHS and even some vintage movie reels of my grandparents. 808 Burners transferred all of these onto DVD's for me, complied a number of short ones onto the same disc and even was able to save some that had mildew on them from being stored away and untouched for so many years. Not only did they do this in a really short time but gave me an excellent discount for doing a bunch all at the same time (their prices were fair to start with) AND professionally labelled all the DVD and printed nice pictures on them for FREE. i hear they also do great slideshows so ill be back to get one of those made for my husbands birthday this year :) customer service was fantastic, a family run business that really take pride in their work - i cant say enough good things about them - 10/10 read more

I use a Chromebook but need MS Office right now so I decided to check this place out which we saw when visiting one of the neighboring businesses. Clean keyboards, mice and monitors, serene environment, friendly owner, great prices, and a great location all make for the ideal Internet cafe that is 808Burners. We'll also soon be using them to burn camcorder tapes (old school!) and other items to CDs per the glorious recommendations on Yelp. read more

Had a vinyl record transferred to digital format. Sound quality is unbelievable and the turn around was only two days. Definitely recommend 808Burners if you need this service. read more

I needed old videos converted to DVD.(Some were even on Beta) I chose 808Burners through Yelp reviews and was VERY pleased with service and product they delivered. Walter asked me great questions and suggested converting some of the footage so I can lift it easily to add to a power point presentation we will be showing at our parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Prices were excellent too! It can be nerve-racking handing over precious memories, but rest assured, 808Burners will take great care of your memories and will help you walk out of their store with whatever you need. SO HELPFUL ... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

They told me the dvd was ready to pick up and I got there at 930pm pass their closing time and the dvd wasn't ready yet. I had to wait 1 hour to get the DVD read more

I found this place by looking at online reviews. The reviews don't lie! Walter at 808Burners knows how to deliver excellent customer service. There are so many businesses out there that lack that. Walter is personable, accommodating, and professional. I really appreciate that... in a digital world where personal service takes the "back burner." I'd been putting off transferring my old video tapes to digital, and I finally got it done in less than a week by 808Burners. The prices are very reasonable, and the process is so quick and easy. I will refer everyone I know to 808Burners, and will use them for all of my future media needs. Thank you! read more

Super fast service! Friendly and professional, I was able to get a passport photo done quickly on my lunch break! Thanks so much!

These are the types of places you really admire because it is run by local entrepreneurs that treat their customers with aloha and respect. My brother in law had come here first to convert my father in law's slide show video into a DVD for his funeral. He didn't seem to have any problems and the slide show turned out great. Second time around my wife and I needed to convert my in-laws' wedding video which was in BETA version and needed it converted to a DVD. When we first walked in it was interesting because the owners' wife was doing hair for what it seems like her daughter or niece's prom. At first I thought service was going to be horrible but we had no problems dropping off the BETA tape to them and we were out within 15 minutes. When the conversion was complete and ready for pickup a few days later, the owner who's name is Walter helped us this time around. We had mentioned about the Yelp $10 off deal which overlapped with another deal they had advertised. There seemed to be some confusion on his advertised deals and due to the overlap our bill ended up going from $36 to $16. He was going to offer us 5 DVD conversions for $16 which I thought was too cheap so we told Walter don't worry about giving us the additional deal and since the service was great we just ended up paying him $26. My wife and I are all about supporting local companies, so we didn't mind just taking one deal and not try take money away from the business. Hope Walter figures it out and doesn't get caught up on this loophole. We'll definitely be back to give him more business! read more

Found an old VHS-C from the late 90's. Came to this business and wasn't expecting much due to the condition of my tape (parts of the cover was missing and some of the tape was a little wrinkled). It wasn't a problem at all from the man behind the desk. Next day I had a DVD copy (and nice label that he added for free) of my tape in great quality!!! I was so impressed, I returned for future business. 808 burners also took two videos I had saved online from vimeo.com and created a dvd for me. Top notch service, awesome quality of product!!! read more

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. My husband and I were in town on our honeymoon and were desperate to back up all our precious travel photos, but of course Internet cafes are all but nonexistent nowadays...808 Burners was our complete godsend. Fast connections made our back up no problem and the lady working there bent over backwards for us in several ways -- culminating in her not charging us for our time on the computers, and instead giving *us* gifts to celebrate our honeymoon trip. If you are considering taking your business here, DO IT, they deserve it. read more

I scored a rare mint-condition 12" vinyl record on eBay and wanted to transfer the songs to a CD, so I did some research online and decided to check out 808Burners. It's a small place just past Pearlridge Mall that's easy to miss if you don't know where it is. There are two dedicated stalls out front for customers but lots of parking available in the lot. I told the guy what I wanted, he told me he'd have it done in 2 days, and even gave me a discount right off the bat. Picked up the CD a couple of days later and it sounded great! Full-bodied sound with almost none of the hiss, clicks, and pops you normally hear with old records. He even printed a label for the CD at no extra charge. I'm going to search through my closet for more records to transfer to CD. Highly recommended. Bear in mind that this is a small-business, essentially a one-man operation, so the store hours are not always absolute. When I went to pick up my CD, I had to wait about 20 minutes past the posted opening time for the guy to come and unlock the door, but this is a minor quibble. Have some patience, 'cause they do good work here. read more

Walter is super nice! He had everything we needed and even showed us how to hook up everything on our own to save on money. All the staff were super friendly and they provide a variety of services including passport photos! read more

From the moment we stepped foot in the door, we were greeted with the most friendly and professional service! For so long we've been wanting to convert our 8mm tapes to dvd's so that we could watch our family and children's childhood memories! Costco's did not help much and I was not to fond of their process and the prices they charge, yet alone the length of time it takes. So again years go by with it just sitting until I did my research and found this place!!! So not only are they friendly and professional, but very affordable. My aunt who was with me was visiting from Missouri was so blown away with the service that she clearly came out and said "Wow we don't ever get this type of service back home "! This is one place I would return to and also highly recommend to friends and family!!!! read more

The folks at 808 Burners are really good at what they do, especially if you are not in a rush to get your dubs done. Walter made DVD copies of two VHS tapes important to my research work on performing arts of Southeast Asia. These were finished within a couple of days and the results were excellent. Walter's partner/spouse digitized 29 old slides onto a CD that came out fine too, done within a day and a half to pick up the day after Christmas. As another plus, the YELP coupon helped save a few bucks. The prices are reasonable. read more

I was so happy with the DVD's they made for us ( great price and extra mile service) that I knew I could trust them with my laptop repair and they did it again- fixed it quickly and at a very reasonable price--even my stuck buttons were fixed at no extra charge. These people are honest and bend over backwards to give quality service. Telling my friends and family that this is the place to go for video conversions and computer repair, too. read more
