Been wanting to make a stop here for awhile now and I finally did on Saturday. I had a great experience my buddy and I were welcomed by a gentleman named Collin, Collin helped us find some new cigars that fit our flavor profiles, he was great! There were a plethora of different cigars. After we got our cigars we got a tour of the place there are two areas to enjoy your cigars one of them was more of a sports and bar area and the other was more of your lounge style area. I couldn't help but to notice that I felt very at home and comfortable there, definitely gonna be visiting here more often. (Note to owner: drew estate cigars like liga privadas, papa Fritas, fat bottom Betty's we're some cigar I didn't see in there highly recommend ordering some.) overall 10/10 experience. From the unassuming entrance to the amazing lounge in the lounge in the back, there is a lot to love about 8 Eighth Eight. My girlfriend and I went here during the evening on a Sunday to try a few cigars. The staff at the front are extremely nice and helped us pick out a cigar. Further, the staff waived the cover charge to use the lounge in the back. My girlfriend and I proceeded to the lounge and enjoyed some beers and mixed drinks while smoking our cigars. The staff in the lounge were equally nice and the selection of alcohols and snacks was some of the best I've seen. The entire experience was great, and I highly recommend it to others. read more

This spot has been my favorite bar and cigar shop since I moved from Boston to Fullerton, about 9 years ago . It has always been a great place but it has gotten WAY better after the new management took over. Came to visit recently with a friends, one of whom is a member. The place is nice inside and has about 3 smoking areas with multiple TV's to watch whatever sports game is on at that time. A full bar with nice and knowledgeable bartenders, and great staff overall. Not a big fan of cigars, but I was there for the drinks and the ambiance. Felt like a nice place to get away from the wife/girlfriend and go hang with some friends while enjoying what the place has to offer. This I have to say is a great cigar lounge and bar. The front of the store has a good selection of cigars and accessories. The magic happens when you get buzzed through the door back to where the bar is. When you walk in through a couple of doors you'll first notice a popcorn machine to your right with shelves stacked with candy. Looking around the room you'll see several tv monitors playing different sporting events. You'll see a row of comfortable leather chairs and several tables. They have a full bar that even has rare Japanese whiskeys. In the back past the bar you have a pool table along with an electronic golf game. The owner and the staff are great. We love this cigar shop and lounge. They offer a membership. The members receive discounts on cigar purchases and access to a private club and lounge in the back. They have a huge thermador for members to store their cigars as well. For those who do not opt in for membership, the cigar shop has an excellent selection of both popular brands and unique cigars to choose from. This is an excellent cigar lounge and bar. The lounge is for members but they offer a daily rate, which is great for out of town visitors like me. The staff is friendly and helpful. The humidor is ample, with a good selection. The lounge has a wall of TVs and a nice bar. There is a back room with a pool table and some other games. An excellent place to relax or watch sports or just visit with the regulars and other guests. If I lived local I would have a membership, no question. Did I mention how great the staff is? Note: don't listen to those saying it is small. The front room is just the cigar shop. They obviously didn't ask about the lounge, which is through a closed door. I read the reviews, and I personally found none of the negatives I read to be true. Yelp has this lounge opening at 1230. I waited outside for 30 minutes. Don't know if it was the owner or worker that showed up. As he walked toward the door he sneezed on his hands, wiped it on his shirt then opened the door and saw me waiting outside. Without acknowledging me he walked inside and locked the door. I continued to wait and he walked outside still without acknowledging me. He knew I was waiting and I asked him what time he's opening up and says 2pm. There is no posted sign of the hours so I brought up at Yelp says 1230 and he replied "don't believe everything you read" very unprofessional, rude and dirty. What I didn't fully get from reading reviews before arriving is that its technically a membership location, if you want access to the bar. Which makes sense given all the stupid as California laws were all so sick off but do nothing about. The front of this joint is a typical larger size humidor with pretty good selections. Several 90+ rated stogies, down to some easy smoking brands. Once inside; Not a lot of choices in the way of beer, but you have your main popular choices. The variety of spirits is actually very nice, something for every level from the scotch snob down to the mixing stuff. What struck me the most was the level of friendliness once inside, 10 min into my visit I'm surrounded by the town gossip as if I had been coming here for years. So in the end I didn't really want to leave. Yup, I signed up for membership and I think I can incorporate this little get-a-way into at least a once a month visit. This place is 40 frigging miles away from my house, that is as good as it gets I guess. read more

Basically coming back to life. Its nuce to see that new ownership is working diligently to bring this once proud lounge from ashes. This a membership lounge. You have to pay to play in there although they let u buy cigars. The back has two main bar areas. Theback has a pool table and an elevated vip like area with tv everywhere. The front has tv, barstools and space for a band. They have an outside back patio but its too cold in dec. Ive been here a couple times for felix assouline cigar events and a few times with my buddy who is a member. I abhor private membership anything like magic castle so i wont be supporting that facet of the lounge. Cigar prices. They are average for lounge prices which are 20-40% more. My car, patio, sbux filled with white people who are disgusted with smoking (i.e., snow), and nature are my favorite lounges and not places filled with 50 men insisting on sword fighting (ego not anatomy). Wow! What an absolutely amazing cigar lounge! I have been to some very cool cigar lounges all over the world; this one ranks among my favorites! It has the feel of a roaring 1920's Speak Easy. Not so much a cigar lounge but more of a sports bar that lets you smoke inside with a good selection of cigars. Not necessarily a bad thing it's just that on Fridays and Saturdays it can get packed with tons of people but there are also lots of hot bitches too so you sort of take the good with the bad. Wow! I mean, wow! My buddy Hector had been pumping me up to go here, for the longest time. Everyone here knows Hector, and I'm not kidding. Everyone. We strolled in, after a delicious meal and drinks at Les Amis, next door. Hector immediately introduced me to a kind gentleman behind the counter and we headed into the walk-in humidor. The selection was vast and I needed help finding "a flavored chick cigar." I was shown a box and took a sniff and it seemed the perfect choice. It ended up being Moontrance Flavours by CAO. It was quite honestly, the best cigar I've had in years. Aside from the actual shop, there's a door to a private room (membership only) which consists of leather seats, big screen tvs, high-top tables, a bar, and the friendliest staff and people you'll ever come across.
