*The Best Cigar Lounge within an Hour to Disneyland*…read more My fam went back to Disney every night. I couldn't find a lounge Sunday or Monday. Then, Tuesday I found 8 Eighty Eight Cigar Lounge! What a great lounge. The parking lot it's in is the same you'd use for Cultura Tacos y Mas and Fuoco's! What a trifecta!!!!First, up front Robert (Bob, Bobby) is the best! Very knowledgeable able and top notch when interacting and delivering great customer service. Love they have Opus X's and the next two nights I went to town haha. They have 4 chairs in the front room and very well lit. Middle Room, Bar Room, is where McKenzie is throwing down! This is more that darker, club vibe. This has a lot of hightop seating and many TV's, not to mention a killer bar. Also awesome. She recommended a burrito place in the same parking lot and it was the best burrito I've ever had! The Third area is straight lounge chairs, music, digital jukebox and bathroom, with medium lighting. This lounge is very deceiving one would think it's very small if you go to the front but then you'll see if it's very large. Loved spending my time there both nights. *Overall, there aren't many lounges now down there, thank God this one's so good!*

Using Yelp, we located this hidden gem. I called to confirm they were open, but no one answered. after 30 secs I got a call back saying sorry I missed your call. I was speaking with Mario who I had the pleasure to meet shortly after. Walking in, there was a nice size humidor with high end, medium, low budget options. I picked a few shown in the attached pics. Both well aged and conditioned. Worth noting, It is rare to find a cigar lounge with a full bar in OC and in general in California. Only other two I've been to is one in San Diego and another in Danville. Vegas lounge vibes with dimmed lighting and multiple screens. The front cigar-bar lounge has ample high top chairs and tables. Easily can seat ~30 people. Every seat has a view of the screens which is great. High ceilings and very good air ventilation. The bar had great supply of everything, and service was great. The bourbon was reasonably priced but the Japanese scotch was way way over priced, ah well lesson learned, won't order those again. The second/rear lounge had larger leather couches and chairs with a few screens with less distractions for cigar enjoyment. Can seat another 20+ people. Overall I would rank 4.0 stars! one suggestion is for management o provide a menu with alcohol pricing instead of us needing to ask waiter each time what cost of a drink would be. I will definitely be back!

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....

Then I got a white claw, this part is my mistake I guess but I didn't know , but I went to step outside for a moment to get some fresh air and security came outside and aggressively SNATCHED my white claw and threw it away, I was stunned. He ended up feeling bad because I cried because I'm sensitive lol and gave me a new white claw but that whole thing was just uncalled for and crazy - a simple "hey you can't have that outside either throw it away or come back in" would have done fine. THEN, and yall; I was a little lit but not drunk drunk, I was talking to the bar tender we were chopping it up and having a good talk then this girl who I said I hi to thought I was hitting on her and I told her I was married to a man and then I asked her "did you think I was hitting on you" she dismissed me but then apparently she told the bar tender that I did something because I was ASKED TO LEAVE - I have never in my life written a review for anywhere and I also have never EVER been escorted out of a bar at all let alone for no valid reason. I wish it went better because love dancing and it's a place to dance near my house but i definitely will never be back and would NOT reccomend this bar to anyone ever.

La Cova is a Mexican restaurant that opened in Placentia semi-recently. My girlfriend loves Mexican…read morefood, so we decided to give it a try. They have a happy hour weekdays from 2pm to 5pm, taco Tuesdays, and other specials on different days of the week. There is always plenty of parking and a good sized lot that is shared with several other businesses. Seating options include the main dining room, at the bar, or a small patio out front. We sat in the dining room on the booth half of a half-booth/half-table along the wall. We were greeted by our server Rosie who started us out with complementary chips and salsa. We got to talking about chips and salsa, and she mentioned they actually have several salsas and she proceeded to bring us out a great spread of all their salsas. All of the salsas were very flavorful with various heat levels. My favorites were the creamy avocado and salsa verde. Both the red salsa and especially the habanero red salsa packed the heat. The chips were also good, and we went thru a few baskets. For entrees, we both ordered the plate of three street tacos ($12.99). They have a wide selection of proteins and fillings which you can mix and match including al pastor, asada, birria, carnitas, chicken, chorizo, tripa, potato, fajita veggies, fish, shrimp, and soyrizo. You can also choose from regular tortillas or handmade tortillas for a little extra. I decided to try some of the meats and ordered asada, al pastor, and carnitas for my three street tacos. They come with a good amount of protein, and are topped with onion and cilantro. The plate also comes with sliced radishes and a slice of lime for each taco. They were all good, but the asada was my favorite. She was happy to see they had soyrizo as an option, and she ordered one potato taco and two soyrizo tacos. She enjoyed her tacos also. The food was great, and Rosie was the icing on the cake. She was so friendly and hospitable. She even sent us home with chips and four small containers of all the salsas. A really great server goes a long way in building a positive reputation for a restaurant. We haven't returned to dine-in yet, but I have picked up tacos and chips and salsa to bring home several times, and the staff is always friendly. I always ask for all four salsas to go with the chips, and they are always happy to oblige.

Came here on a whim with my friend . Least to say I'm unfortunately not coming back . I only say…read moreunfortunately because the only thing I did enjoy was the Baja tacos (battered) honestly. It was our first time there and this was disclosed to our waitress ( I didn't catch her name but as description goes she had brown hair, septum piercing , morning glory tattoo) and Our waitress kept calling us dude??? Not sure what that's about but I guess most of their employees don't really have proper serving or customer service etiquette to start. Idk the vibes were off to begin with we had asked to sit outside because everybody was lowkey sardined in there . So it was nice to have the option to sit out there . The menu was confusing like why am I looking at brunch menu mixed with non brunch menu items ? Honestly don't understand the point of the appetizer section when they're priced at entree fees ... $32 for appetizers is NUTS . We tried the taquitos (birria) and they brought out chicken taquitos ... which wasn't something I was all that bothered by because the guy was apologetic about it but it's like idk maybe if our initial waitress took notes instead of rushing us they probs would've gotten it right but I digress ... We got a margarita flight and it was probably the most disgusting thing ever . Tasted like flavored simple syrup mixed with hand sanitizer . The presentation was cute I guess but the taste did not add up . ( only ate the gummies tbh) which we kinda forced ourselves to drink bc $$$ & after I asked for a ginger ale which tasted FUNKY . I was basically parched the whole time. My friend got the Birria taco , she said it was too salty & the consume was definitely lacking some sort of flavor. I'm sure there's other stuff on the menu that is good but I can't justify coming back to experience to such sh**y service it's just not worth it but I also think but because I came in for tacos Tuesday the Baja tacos were $8 I guess it's the only thing that was " worth it". I don't like to be that guy sending everything back and being complicated so that's why I'm here writing this .
