Tabernacle

Quiet, not sports centric. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Good selection of cigars, had myself a Cumpay there and a Tabernacle to go.

The lounge is located in a cute courtyard shopping area nestled in Placentia. I absolutely love this cigar lounge. The employees are always so welcoming & offer suggestions on cigars. The lounge is sophisticated with fancy fire place & book shelf vibes. Theres also an outdoor patio if like to smoke outdoors. If your a local go by & smoke a cigar & if your visiting from out of town I recommend you stop by.

Great spot. Leather couches, beer and wine, outdoor patio, and great hospitality. Memberships available with locker and use of private room. Classy spot in Downtown Placentia. A lot of good restaurants nearby if you want to eat and enjoy a cigar!

Chill spot...

DOPE spot! I was in Fullerton for a conference, and wanted a chill spot to write on my off time. Found this cool ass spot to smoke and get some writing done, the vibes felt amazing to me. Chicano chill and homie vibes all day long. Love it! I can't wait to be back and chill, write, and smoke...

The way to kicking back and relaxing.

Nothing like a Principal cigar to kickback and relax after a long days work. Comfy chairs, big TVs and good company!

Great lounge, comfy seating and a relaxing environment but bring your own cutters and lighter.

Great place with a good selection of boutique cigars. Would recommend bring your own cutter and lighter. Seating is very comfy and environment is relaxing. Would definitely come to this place again when in the area.

Amazing experience at La Biblioteca. It's my second time here and Mike G had been amazing! Great cigar selection and great service. More than anything I love the location and ambiance. As a north Orange County native I feel I've been waiting for this club for years. I'll definitely be back!

Friendly place with very friendly people. The clientele are many repeat visitors. A comfortable place with classy amenities. I'm grateful for the opportunity to come here! Can't wait to come back! Again and again!

If you smoke cigars and are anywhere in the vicinity this is where you should go. The atmosphere is relaxing, enjoyable and a place you can go to unwind. Anna, the owner, has a first rate establishment, she has created a wonderful cigar community. I will be back anytime I am SoCal.

This place is a gem. Air filtration is the best. I here the same thing at every lounge. That they have a great air filter system and then I end up having to strip in the garage because everything smells like a dirty ashtray. This place has a great setup with well spaced and comfortable chairs. I was there for a special event and even with 30 people smoking at the same time it wasn't super smoky. My favorite lounge in SoCal. Anna is the owner and she's not just a pretty face. She is a serious smoker and very knowledgeable. This feels really like a private lounge and not a cigar shop you can smoke in.

What a fabulous little gem in Old Town Placentia! They did everything right. First thing I noticed was the air quality. The ventilation system is outstanding! Seating was perfectly spaced and comfortable. Looking at the humidor, you can see how carefully the selection was picked. From boutique to well known quality go-to cigars. The staff is well knowledged. Don't be afraid to ask for a recommendation. Looking forward to visiting again. Wished I lived closer! I felt very welcomed.

The Blind Rabbit is in building B (I think... 2 story building right off the main road). A reservation is highly recommended, as this spot can only hold about 30 people. As I went alone, my reservation was for a bar seat, which was cool as I was able to watch the bartenders make lots of very cool shaken and stirred drinks. This place serves absinthe drinks plus absinthe served the traditional way (cold water on sugar cube into the alcohol). I did not try that, but was tempted. My pineapple old fashioned (Retired Old Man was what Sergio (bartender) told me) was very tasty. The Tamerand Marg with mezcal that I tried next was just okay (should have stuck with the whiskey!). The ambience is great, but it is quite dark inside. Use the light under the bar top to read the menu. There is food available. I tried the crabcake and thoroughly enjoyed it! If you go looking for the entrance, look for the "boxes" stacked against the wall and the black bunny handle (next to a hostess station that may/may not be staffed). Photos were highly discouraged, so I respected their wishes and just enjoyed the moment. I hope you enjoy it too!

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!
